Can we change hertz in nmea
I think changing the Rate under UBX > CFG > Rate, will change the rate for both UBX and NMEA. I haven't tried this though.
My Led indicator not blinking, how to fix that?
Which LED, I have some nano boards with blinking LEDs and some don't. If you mean the GPS module's LED, they will blink when they receive a valid GPS signal.
@@3DElectroTech neo 6m, I've waiting Up to 1 hour more, but still not blink. Pls helpp
Use U-Center application to make sure you are receiving information from your NEO-6M. The information will start coming immediately and you don't need a Satellite signal to check. This check will insure that you have a working NEO-6M.
@@3DElectroTech do u have the tutorial video? I try to use U center but the port isn't blinking(green)
- Which Arduino are you using? - Which Ublox device?
Thanks
Glad you like it!
This is a great tutorial. Thanks for making it so easy.
I am glad it worked well for you :)
Hello I really appreciate all your videos on the speedos. I made one myself following your first 5Hz tutorial and it worked perfectly for a long time until I wanted to change the neo 6m gps module with another of the same module and a custom pcb for the wiring. Since then I have been having issues with the speedo. I have tried with and without my custom pcb and with different neo 6m gps modules so I am sure it is not a wiring problem. The problem I have identified is that the custom setting configured in u-center are not saved permanently to the gps module. The SOL, VELNED, CFG and RATES settings are only saved as long as the module is powered on. The module reverts to the default settings when it is not powered on for more than an hour. Any advice on how to permanently save the configuration settings or do I have defective neo 6m gps modules?
Thank you very much for following my videos, this inspires me greatly. The Github's project page contains the latest code github.com/Boynet006/NEO-6m_Speedometer The upper part of the code sends all the configuration needed to make NEO 6M work without the need to save the settings. So, every time you power up your device, the neo 6m's configuration setting will be sent and everything will work normally. I have had some issues with some of the modules trying to save some settings like baud rate using u-center, they might be defective modules. Do you have M7 or M8N? they can reach up to 10 Hz with little code modification.
great video, i have some problems can we talk via email?
Thank, Yes we can communicate through email.
didnt work, heres your free dislike
Thank you
When i use packet console blank page, there is no data
Try swapping tx and rx, Try reverting to default settings, if there is solder paste on the terminals it could cause this issue, make sure the terminals are very clean using rubbing alcohol.
I had recently brought a neo 6m when I power it with 3.3v. After that I had upload with a simple code I am unable to see any type of nmea sentences. Does the nmea sentence shows after I upload the code or I have to wait until light blink. I had leave it for 1hr in open sky but light do not blink. Please help me
Check out this video, it might contain part of the answer. th-cam.com/video/Ao5XRtd-RAA/w-d-xo.html You don't need to program NEO 6M to receive NMEA, it does that with the default settings. If all that doesn't help, please let me know.

can you please make the number size bigger please
In the latest project, we are using a bigger screen and that makes the numbers larger. Check out this project, it is nearing the end. th-cam.com/video/Qg0L3f6gY50/w-d-xo.html
The screen look abit low fps? Can you make at faster?
Making the screen faster is doable, but if you mean the 5Hz refresh rate, that is the limitation of U-Blox NEO-6M GPS module.
Nice tutorial. Can I ask for yuor help for a paid project?
Thanks, What can I do?

I want to have GPS send my location to my family via GSM phone message whenever I travel. Do you have tutorial to do that?
At the moment, I don't have a tutorial that does that.
is there an end result in the form of a final product?
Yes, there is a final product, the one I am working on now. In that project, we will be making our own PCB. The below video shows an introduction of the project. th-cam.com/video/Qg0L3f6gY50/w-d-xo.html

Hello, thanks for the video👌 can I ask how do configure the code to get it to work on the pin RX2 and TX2 of the esp32 wroom32?
Thanks for the comment, I honestly don't know how to make it work on the esp32 wroom32.
How do i change this on arduino?
This video probably has the answer to your question th-cam.com/video/YGVc9rjBIHY/w-d-xo.html
WOW how did you do it😮❤️✨
Thanks :)
Hey man, I was watching your videos and although the neo6m is old it looks like it performs really nice. But since its discontinued M9N seems to be the current product. Wanted to ask you if it does perform identical? And i mean the refresh speed during acceleration and slowing down. I'm trying some stuff with L86 gps and its really bad i mean may be its good for geo location etc absolutely not usable for speedometer its really slow and shows some speed even after 5 seconds after i stop. Also did you try to make a trip/odometer with the module or is it even possible?
Check out this video th-cam.com/video/JGG4TcA6U-g/w-d-xo.html for the performance of NEO6M configured refresh rate 5HZ, I have tested the NEO-M9N configured refresh rate 8HZ and it works great. If you see the documentation for both, the maximum update rate for 6M is 10HZ and for M9N is 25Hz. As of now, the code is not optimized to get these results. Check this video for the final product that we are working towards th-cam.com/video/Qg0L3f6gY50/w-d-xo.html
The comparison was between Racelogic DriftBox 10Hz and our homemade NEO 6M 5Hz Speedometer
@@3DElectroTech i watched the first video and i see it works really well. I guess i will buy some 6M to tesy but since its a discontinued product they are most probably fake. Going to watch the second video thank you
@@acelyasamsan6960 I don't think the one I was using is Guanine and I purchased most of them from Amazon and Aliexpress. They work fine for what we need :) That is why I often buy more than I need.
@@3DElectroTech Well if the fake one works like that all good for me too :) now i will definitely buy it and give it a go. I also need to figure out about odometer, according to chatgpt if i have GPS coordinates it can be calculated. I guess i will try to do it once i get the module. Thank you

Is it ok to give 5V to module?
Yes, as every USB supports 5 Volts
It's a great video. I'm working with esp8266 on Arduino IDE I'm wondering if I set the measurement period to 200ms it will reconfigure the GPS module, or I should change something on my esp?
Could you watch this video, because, I think it has the answer for your question th-cam.com/video/YGVc9rjBIHY/w-d-xo.html Please, let me know if it does.
SUPER EASY THANKS!
You're welcome! :)

Thanks!
No problem!
Thanks for this. First Arduino project I've done and it works perfectly. Now I guess I'll have to start learning some code... ;-)
Glad to hear that :D
In my case, both lines are not rotating.only the first line, is there any problem ?😢
Might be a connection issue, check your Ublox with U-Center application. Try swapping RX and TX. Sometimes the breadboard wires can be loose.
Was there no sketch needed for the arduino?
It will communicate directly with the GPS module, without a sketch, just the wiring.
@@3DElectroTech tanx sir.
