The Moonchild 10: 'Fear And Fury In Equal Parts'
Great roleplaying and keeping. Quite the captivating performance.
I have to say this is the best I've seen so far. Would also love to see the guys scat some more, pretty please.
The blooming rat was viscerally disturbing, Loved the description!
Very Well done! I will stick around
That's a HUGE spoiler in the beginning! Agent Dugov??? Lieutenant Fyodorov and the... GRU agents???
Loved the campaign, this was so good. I checked out this channel thanks to Dom's work on NRB, and now listening to two campaigns I'm inspired to run my own campaign ASAP! Also, very cool teaser at the end . Spoiler . . . . Would looove to see these guys return in a Delta Green campaign. Their predilection towards violence might suit them well
Amazing voice acting range on Danann at 28:24
At first I was dissapointed, but this was very entertaining.
Local man challenges the fates for a cup of tea, more news at nine!
Sidney getting interrupted every time is wonderful
"I don't remember Peter very well, but I certainly remember he was known for never being seen in a bush..." 😆
"Just as a full stop on that, a glass of brandy gets thrust into his face--" Oh good lord, these lads must have been formidable in school, when focused around the same purpose.
"--if I've got to the study? Have I got to the study?" Danann has really spooked them, I love it
😬 It's fine, everything's fine! Danann has spooked me also!
Loved every minute of this, what an incredible scenario brought to life like this!
Oh that's really quite spoopy
"Are you fond of mazes?" "Very." "Oh, that's a shame, I was going to suggest you just burn it down."
Brawo!!!! What a finalle :D
Finnish folklore in the middle of this: In Finnish, there were several words for bear, both the actual name of it which shouldn't be uttered unless you were trying to summon the bear for a specific purpose... And all the different nicknames that you used to refer to it as needed or desired. And in case the bear came, and was killed, you had to hold a combined funeral and wedding party for it, peijaiset - marrying some lovely lass to the bear's body and ghost to appease it, to make it less sad and upset, allowing it to be reborn as another living bear instead of lingering near as a spirit.
As a modern Finnish person I can off the top of my head recall a bunch of the names, as well as at least one song you could have sung to the bear to make it go lightly and go back to sleep, and it's a children's song! Folklore, it's great! 😸
Additionally, I'm from a city where we were traditionally seen as wind witches, and sailors would come from all over to purchase favourable winds. On the other hand, just a little bit from here is where a bunch of Swedish raiders came in at one point, and were so utterly terrified by mad Finns in the woods and hills, that they swore to never ever come over here again. It took the Swedish monarchy to do that, much later. There's also a legend of a country lad taking an axe to a bishop because he was upset at the preaching, which we're quite fond of.
I was painting a figure as Dom went out the window. I laughed so hard I had to repatint the miniature. So hilarious, loved it 🤣
Since I started listening to the Apocalypse Players, where most die by the end, I wondered if there was a RPG where you start off by entering the afterlife.
"Do not let the hat alarm you!"
"--and then I look at Perry and I see that he's looking at something, but I go: "Oh my God he's having one of his moments, probably looking at a blasted woodpecker--" Edward. Edward that's one of your dearest friends! 🤣
Oh, that wasn't terrifying at all. 😬 Very normal!
At first, I thought the title was kind of silly. But the setting and world-building, the mystery, the build up, the horror, the characters and performances - it's been amazing, I'm fully engrossed, I've only the finale left and I can't wait! And there are so many more videos to watch still. Keep up the wonderful work!
Didn't know I'd be quite this alarmed by a mob of vaguely malevolent free range children, but I sure am.
I really like the editing of this series! All of the details with the radio broadcasts, the background environmental noises and sound effects are great, the music is fun. There are some moments throughout the series, such as 19:45, where the music nearly drowns out the voices, which would be my only complaint
Well this is certainly unique, and in the good meaning of the word. What a witty lot of lads you are, too!
"So yeah. 23." Holy heck! That's a lot!
"If I had a medical licence, it would have probably been revoked! 😺" Ah, I love him.
The porter runs back into you, interrupting you again. BASTARD!!! Sent me realing laughing
Sorry, have I just discovered the people behind the Goes Wrong Show have a EnD podcast? My mind is blown.
Just finished this on Spotify. Amazing
With a tiny little bit of hope: "In a good way, or?" 😆
I always love it when investigators propose a sound plan and then don't follow through. 😅 Yes, get some salt, just to see what happens! Maybe the plants and fungi absolutely love salt and you'll make a friend!
Hell yeah another Cthulhu series with Dom in it
*spoilers* Who is Christopher Marlow and which story does he start in. New to AP and would love to jump there after this!
I enjoy being able to see them while they play this out. I would greatly appreciate it if they did this more. Even without the outfits. Just seeing these actors at work, is amazing! Love the show!
The NYPD, everybody...
Keep on skatting! (Watched this already) 👍
Loving this series
"...if it doesn't damage the lock, but it was a very different context." Oh, I love her.
The twitchy doctor under the influence of at least four different substances at this point is also delightful. The contrast to the very solid Mr. Palmer is fantastic for both!
I just want to say you guys are experts of cliffhanger endings. Im so thankful that every campaign I've started was complete
Stunning performances. Thank you all.
Dom's description of his roll out of the car... Horrifying and hilarious.
That end segment had me in stitches.
"Almost involuntarily, Reginald claps his hands." What a perfect mental image. 😸
"And they all, involuntarily, glance at Sebastian Palmer." 😆
'Well, that's one German man about to have a bad time at a library' is what I thought right before he indeed did
The fact that the Keeper mentions the spotless overalls on Russo(?) TWICE is so good and subtle. I have no idea how this will end, but if that was actual foreshadowing I'm going to be some way about it 😂
Lyubimova? sounds like a female surname with that "a" at the end
Oh. Oh, that was fantastic. What a haunting ending. Kudos to everyone involved!
"Uhh, can I do a psychology roll?" is one of the best replies to your friend talking to you in the dead of night! 😆
"By advice, I think you exaggerate what I'm saying. I am being a *nitpicker.*"
"...and he tries to start the truck..." Oh, all the *scheming*, ah! It wouldn't work with every group of players but I love that this group could do so many secret chats!
"Might not be water, it's got that weird sort of sheen that you recognise..." Oop
Oh damn, we got video! I found the channel through comments on Chaotic Neutral's CoC videos. But found it a bit difficult to differentiate voices. Hopefully putting some faces to the faces will make going through the backlog a bit easier now.
Great series - Dom was obviously awesome, and I loved Iggy Sugar! I can see that there is a vague trigger-warning in the description, but feel that some specific themes really need highlighting - the sudden appearance of abortion as a theme came out of nowhere for me, and is pretty distressing for many. Still, now I feel obliged to go back and work my way back through the AP back-catalogue! X
👍
Alright I'll be the first comment on your call of Cthulhu in America live recording. I like the Hannah hats/Irish caps for the era.
