Furi - The Bernard Mix (No Samples)
Sorry for the delay with getting this up, I suppose I basked in my accomplishment just a little too long! Although the mix still holds up nicely with the samples, I think it's better with the boss's lines. But hey, I only had to hear the mix hundreds of times with the samples, so I'm sure I'm biased. Like temp love, right? Or maybe Stockholm Syndrome?
The video editing and portraits were done by my very talented fiancée, Katu-Jan.

Anyways, all of the music here is copyrighted by the artists' respective labels, but most of it goes to the Game Bakers themselves. Demonetize this video, but just like the others I hope that's all that happens. This was purely a passion project and I have no desire to monetize in any way, shape, or form from this video.
Additionally, I plan on uploading a version of the mix without the vocal samples as I'm sure at least one person will want such a thing, but that will take another day or two due to the time it takes to render a video of this size.
To the Furi/Game Bakers community: I thank you for your persistence and interest in the project. Originally, I started the project way back when because I personally wanted to have all of the music in one singular video. Looking back, there are many ways it can be improved, but I wanted it done. To know that people appreciate what I did, despite the flaws I came to notice, was very encouraging. So much so that it has pushed me to finish my studies and continue delving into music, that one day I may create music from my own instead of making my image from others'.
Lastly, to the Game Bakers: I want to thank you for the wonderful experience I, and many others in the community, have had from your games and interactions through Discord. My interest in your games started from the music, but I know there's so much more to your works than the musicians. Every member of your team is talented and dedicated, and it shows in your games for sure. The anticipation I have for Haven is palpable, and I cannot wait to buy it day 1 and play through it with Katu.
This was all a wonderful learning experience, but there's always more to learn - more techniques to develop and hone. Without this project, I don't think I'd be pursuing the study of music as I wouldn't have had a stepping off point. Regardless, thanks again to everyone who stuck around.

Pardon this potato-quality video, but when I was getting the screenshot for You are the end, I came across this glitch. The third platform didn't have a real floor, so I'd just fall through and die. This persisted until I went back to the main menu and restarted the fight entirely. You are the end should be up soon.

This one was a little disappointing. For such a wonderful song, it's practically 100% the soundtrack version, with no real differences. This first bossfight really sets the mood for what comes ahead for a new player, at first I was like "wtf is this supposed to be the tutorial theme?"
All you don't forget the credits in this secret ending (that's mean, this is the true end) +the game Haven(same creator) is convenient with this ending

Yeah. It was mostly there for the premiere. At the time this was uploaded, Haven (the game after Furi by the Game Bakers) was set to release in about a week or so. I wanted to express my excitement for the game. Those voice lines were hidden in the demo’s files, so nobody at the time would have heard them before!

... is it just me but at 33:45 when The Beat's 'beat' drops, does anyone else start AUTOMATICALLY WEEPING MANLY TEARS 💪😭🤘 while knowing that, after all the GODS & MONSTERS & Masters & Planning & Investments... The last 'Jailer' is a little, snot-nosed brat with a hocky stick who poses less than a 0% threat to you & could never actually defeat you. Killing The Beat always makes me feel like I just murdered a child / puppy. I realize that's what the Guru & Narrator/Architect WANTED to have happened, but I still remember my 1st Playthrough of Furi. I was having so much fun fighting and beating all these Bosses & then... HER? All I have to do, to finally win my freedom, is to kill this little girl who NEVER had a single dream in defeating me but would rather die on my blade Herself before she let me escape the Labyrinth Prison. Safe to say, I cried a lot the 1st time I ever played Furi. 1st for the Song. Then for the Beat. & then when I finally beat the Armada & Face! 🍻💪🏆❤️🔥🖖 FURI, INDY GOTY 2016, EVERYONE!!!

hey love this mix more than anything, I listen to it every day. that being said I primarily listen to the 'My only chance' mix at the end, could you isolate it to a standalone vid?
I’ve listened this song too many times, and there is more coming. From my deep heart, it helps me to push myself (mostly the end part with all jailers lines into Bernard finishing) thought gym session and even more during my runs, I saw it like the game, each km I complete while going on the next jailer is a success.

How did you get a different menu screen?
The main menu changes depending on where in your current save you left off. I got this one in particular by exiting out on the planet's surface.

Normally I don't ask thing of youtubers, especially knowing lots either have stuff already on their plate or aren't focused on trying to provide for every single stranger in their comments, but I've been absolutely obsessed with the way you mixed this song in the Bernard mix, and I was wondering if you ever thought about doing standalone versions of those forms of mixes? Especially with the way you used the count-down section in the melee segment, which feels incredibly epiphoral and phenomenal. I'd just love to have access to that alongside the voicelines inside them piece by piece, as they add so much more feeling to the songs while still keeping them as songs to listen to.

this game man, the enemies, their lines, the movie like score playing,, i know its just a game but damn did it make me confront my own self, hate, fear, abandonment, innocence, aging, what is right and wrong, morality, my own being, it touched upon every aspect of being. this game speaks to me on so many levels emotionally like every boss is a part of something i struggled with and its so eye opening and heart breaking like the first boss its like literally fighting depression, or when you stab the beat and she is just a kid and asks you to hold her hand calling you a monster begging you, or when you kill the hand in front of his own son, and then you look and think was he right, was he good or just self righteous, am i good or just self righteous, am i evil, will being good bring you anywhere even, and thats just some of the bosses. this game literally confronts you with your own morality and beliefs. it got me out of some of the darkest places, there were games that came close but this man hit a line none other movies games or songs did. this game will always be close to my heart

I love how the music for the hand's fight feels like the stakes are so high, and it feels desperate - but for them.
So, it's been 2 years, what is the reference at the end about?
It was an allusion to Haven. I ripped the voice lines from the demo’s files before the game’s release, so they were technically spoilers as those voice lines weren’t actually used in the demo. Hence the “I don’t think I should be telling you these things”
