Hi, the job involves shift working and unsocial hours which is not for all. While not physically demanding it can be mentally tiring due to the concentration levels required. Interactions with the public can occasionally be less than pleasant although most are a pleasure to speak with. After all that, I enjoy it and so do many, many others. If you love driving give it a go. Your call ultimately.

I enjoy it and if you're young you could move to jobs with more travel (European tours) if that's something you fancy. I'm sure there are much more experienced drivers in the industry that advise. Enjoy your new career 😀

Hi, I’ve not experienced that but have occasionally had the “main door” open sound come on when hitting the potholes. Only seems to happen if one of the cave sized holes is hit so not a major issue.

Hi, yes does, rotating through during the day and a few parked up overnight. It is open to any bus company to use and often has a tour company buses in there for a few hours at a time.

It has already been reported within Bus Industry Press plus in other sections of Media that Edinburgh City Council are negotiating with the current owners about separating the Bus Station from the sale. If that's a firm possibility, the City Council may well take over operational responsibility as they know of its importance within the city.

An often straight but very undulating route. I believe it follows a Roman route for a lot of its length hence its straightness. Cheers 😊

​@@TravelswithBillybob It is yeah, the iveco steering wheels are almost identical to the optare ones so are often used as replacements on optare vehicles

when they were getting a replacement steering wheel for 11119 it was faster to get one off Iveco than wait for an official Optare one, id assume it was cheaper aswell.

I find that most of our vehicles are smooth in terms of the engine but sound awful due to all the rattles and bangs. This is more noticeable in the cab area mostly due to the movement of the doors when driving.

The fleet list states its an E200, same engines 🤔

Same engine as the E300 but with an Allison gearbox.
