Welcome back Solid. There is no true GOAT in the NBA. Too many great players from different eras. If I had to pick it would be between Michael & Larry. MJ was an athletic marvel and Larry was the most clutch player in NBA history. People need to keep in mind that MJ did all of this during the NBA's Golden Era, the most talent-rich period in NBA history (1980's/90's). Michael played in an exponentially more difficult time period than LeBron and the game was much more physical. Great reaction!

The dream team beat themselves the first game. They were all superstars and everybody wanted to show why they were picked. They didn’t play as a team and the college team beat them. The coach did not intervene because he wanted them humbled so they would listen to him. He even kept the STAR Jordan sitting on the bench most of the game. Imagine how hard coaching the best players of the NBA on one team. Why would they listen to a coach. Coach Daly let the college players get ahead, then stopped the practice, cleared the scoreboard and let the press into the building. He told the team anybody can be beat and then gave them his plan to follow. It worked but every practice was like a championship game after that. There was not one game in that Olympics where the outcome of the Dream team was in doubt. Coach Daly got the stars to play as a team. He even became golf buddies with Jordan, who had to hate him. Daly designed the defense that drove Jordan crazy when he played the Bad Boys.

hey Solid, I'm glad you did this, this guy was awesome and a legend, as kids (I was 12 in 1976) we were all ABA fans, the red white and blue ball, Dr. J, the Skywalker, and so many other great players and the style of play was exciting and different, I was a Dr. J guy, we'd all dress ABA style, which back then was head bands, wrist bands, baggie shorts over sweat pants, cutoff shirts lol and no, I am not a Skywalker or Dr J but loved the game- then came Larry Legend and I switched over to him being no.1, man he was another Legend, dif, not a skywalker but all around wizard with the toughness of a junkyard dog and the killer instinct of a great white shark smellin blood...check out Dan Issel, a 7 ft center from that time who was a scoring machine, he's in here talkin about David Thompson...

Let's be honest about one thing. New York City is the media capitol of the world, followed by Chicago and L.A. And L.A. might be AS.big,.just in different ways than New York. And the Yankees have dominated the sport of baseball seemingly like no one else. Babe Ruth is the baseball GOAT, and the New York media will never let anyone forget it. In 1970, when the Knicks won, I have read that New.York hyped that series up so much that it might as well have neen the first game.ever.played, according to culture/sports experts. You know, guys who spend their time analyzing who wins and why and.how.we.come.to.take.the.opinion of New York City sports-writers and.broadcasters and people around the country who work FOR.a New York home office.
