Nice truck
i would really like to see some pictures of how you made the bracket and did you find compressor used or buy and new one also did you do the oiling modification i see on the internet
@@DependableAutoTruck I sold this truck like 9 years ago. I don't have any pictures of the bracket I made. I bought a new compressor and had good luck with the oil mod. I tried the oil mod on a previous compressor, and it didn't change anything.
pretty slick
What size tires are these on the stock rims?
If I remember correctly they were 275/45/20
@@bnii2 I’m in the middle of doing mine, to lay that low in the back did you have to notch out for the driveshaft? I’m laying on the Reese hitch I want to take it off but my fab shop says it holds the bumper on. I love my gas tank to the bed, it has a 4 link with a single panhard bar on the rear end.
I cut the pinch weld on the back of the cab to clear the driveline and massaged the floor under the seat just a little
@@bnii2 thank you so much you have no idea how much I appreciate your information.
Is there a video that shows the basics of installing these PB hinges? Thanks
I didn't make an install video but It wasn't bad. I installed the hinges on the cowl then set the hood on where I wanted it and welded the brackets from inside the wheel well
@@bnii2 awesome thanks for that info
Where did you locate your fuel tank and how many gallons? And any videos of the rear suspension setup? I am building the same truck
The fuel cell was mounted behind the axle. 26 gallons made from aluminum. I built the truck 17 years ago, but I'm not sure if I posted a video of the rear suspension. You would have to look through my TH-cam.
Im way late here but im wanting to body drop my k swapped c10, what size wheels are those?🤔
In this video, these wheels were 22x9.5
@@bnii2 sweeeeeet I've got some 22x11s with some 285/40/22s but I've got my own cantilever suspension that I'm going to make for it so that will make it to clear the fender wells
Beautiful truck, but stop smacking you damn gun while ur talking you sound like a dumbass highschool girl
Hey sorry my last comment posted on your video for some reason it was meant for another video that was using a $500 kit lol. Im not sure how it ended up here! Technology… haha
It's all good
Nice bro
Thanks
Clean 🔥
Instead of using the watts link could you run a triangle link on top to keep axle centered?
Yes you can. I built this as a test of my design. i had already built triangulated 3 and 4 links.
Damn, he was enjoying that ride. Me next?
Borrowed it from a neighbor to go to the shooting range in the desert. I definitely need to buy one soon.
That’s awesome you have a cool pop!
That's a Kool "kinkage-linkage"; only has been out for 350 years. ( They used it on ships stearing).
That’s not a KP Components 6-link. It’s the same concept but definitely not built by them.
What did you use as grommets to seal the filler thru the inside of panel?
I used a wire harness grommet off a super duty. I trimmed it so it fit better and sealed well.
What model and year of Ford did you get that capless system from
Any caplets system will work. I had to cut and weld to get the angles correct. This one was off a Escape.
Do you remember the part # for the fuel cell?
I don't sorry. The only reason I went with a fuel cell was because the previous owner cut the rear section of frame off to install a roll pan. I made bumper brackets and torsion bar brackets to reinstall a rear bumper.
U got any install videos
I don't sorry. Depending on your vehicle, they may make a setup to work with it. I made my own frame, so I took measurements and made this 73-87 Chevy truck kit work with my frame.
@@bnii2 that’s the same kit I got but got my frame boxed in so I gotta weld the brackets to my frame but we’re I’m stuck at is we’re to weld the brackets at is there a Pacific Way they gotta go like the angles or and how high? Thanks for the reply
@Jesus Arzate start by setting the truck at ride height. Turn the center pivot so when the bars are attached, it looks like a Z. The bars being parallel to the ground at ride height and the center pivot clocked a little sideways. Then test the travel of the frame and make sure the axle stays centered.
@@bnii2 ok cool thanks for the help.I really appreciate it
It's a clean setup you have .where did you get that Air intake?
I made it from an Airaid kit.
OK thanks .what about that engine cover .where can I get ahold of one of those?
Engine cover was off of a Cadillac Escalade with a LQ9.
What about that 90゚ elbow coupler where can I get one of those?
@thomasmurillo6947 I bought all the couplers on Amazon. Look for the thicker high quality silicone
🎉❤❤❤ beautiful
Thank you
Do you have to use LED taillights or do you think you could get away with factory tailights? Getting ready to do this on a 78 crew cab I’m swapping.
I'm not sure if there is enough room behind a stock tail light. You would have to measure or cut the body and move the rear inner panel back.
@@bnii2 that’s what I was thinking. I’m ok with moving the inner panel back if I had to. Just out of curiosity though, what tailights do you have?
@@derekczeschin5623 I don't remember the brand. I sold the truck last year.
I'm working on a 78 c10 Bonanza LWB where did you get the fuel cell from
Bought it from Summit and modified it to fit.
Nice. What year and model for capless
I worked at Ford at the time. I think it is was off an Escape.
needs a cam
I added a BTR stage 3 truck cam to this engine. After that I did a 5.3 aluminum block with a BTR stage 3 LS am .617 lift. Now it has a supercharged 6.2 in it.
What do you recommend done if I’m going to drop a stage 3 cam into a stock 5.3? This would be my first swap so I’m trying to make sure I get everything right before I swap it with parts that won’t support the power. I also don’t really want to upgrade anything that might be unnecessary or doesn’t really make a difference.
I will also have do springs, lifters to get rid of D.O.D., hardened push rods so they don't flex and bend, and trunion bearings on the rocker arms so they don't fail and spit bearings into your engine.
So I meant to say you will also need those things.
Bill - how can I contact you? I need to talk to you please.
Call me. 541-621-2096
What hood hinges are you using
Porterbuilt 2nd generation.
I’m trying to do this to my 85 c10 my question is how did u make the magnets stick on the tail lights and how big are the holes u drilled for the filler neck on the back side of the light housing and the bed floor
I used epoxy. I don't remember the size of the hole sorry
@@bnii2 can u tell me what year truck the filler neck come out of please thank u
@@Mrshortbed any ford capless fuel filler will work because it needs to be cut.
@@bnii2 thanks now I have see how ima run mines I have an 85 c10
Where can I order the e fan housing u used or what did it come off of
I used a Lincoln mark 8 fan
@@bnii2 do u remember what year it came from did u take pictures of the install
I'm pretty sure all Lincoln mark 8 fans are the same. No I didn't take any pictures of the install it was like 14 years ago
Nice where did u get your e fan set up
its a Lincoln Mark 8 fan
sorry I thought this comment was on another truck I built. This is a Ford flex dualfan from a 3.5 liter
I'm building a 68 right now
Absolutely beautiful!!!
Oversize wheels rubber band tires laying on the ground and is a classic truck, made a classic POS.. Only a fool would ruin such a nice truck ..Geeez..
Lol well this fool saved this $500 truck from going to the scrap yard and after building it, sold it for $28k plus a 2012 Camaro SS 6.2 liter and 6L80E trans to a guy who was very happy to get it. I think the fool is one who thinks with such a narrow mind. Not everyone wants a stock vehicle.
Now how’s that for a freaking centerline huh?? 🤗👊🏾
Did you cut out that gas door filler piece yourself?
Yes sir, same with the door handles and tail gate handle.
I'm sorry I thought this was my Dodge truck video. No I bought this fuel filler panel.
Nice 👌 💯
My c10 build must be the only non lowrider in the country lol
Plenty of people still keep their trucks stock or only slightly modified. I'm just not one of them.
That’s one bad ram. Dream truck for real
Thank you
Great video. Thanks for the walk around. I'll be doing the same thing to my 69 minus the body drop.
Info on the wheels? This are killer on that k5
Thank you. They are RaceLine Monocos
Where did you get those mirrors?!?!
Street Scene
Could you bag a 1998 dodge ram 1500
I've seen that body style bagged before. From what I hear it's actually a little easier because of where the upper control arms mount.
Did your engine and transmission come from same donor vehicle? Reason why you didn't use harness from it? Headers were from camaro or u changed them?
Yes the engine transmission and wire harness were all from a 2012 Camaro SS. I did use the factory harness off that engine and had Andy at LSX Specialties do the tune and the wire harness. Those are the stock Camaro manifolde, I just have them Cerakoted at the local gun store.
Olá meu patrão tem como você mostrar a suspensão trabalhando um lado de cada vez
I don't understand sorry. English
Badass
How you bolt the hinge
I drilled holes in the pinch weld behind the tail light
How would this compare to a 4 link with bags for ride quality and towing capability?
The 6 link has bags on the rear arms so it lifts behind the rear axle. That way it supports tongue weight better.
@@bnii2 What about ride quality wall not towing any pros or cons there. Thanks for the replies
@@tjh1127 if you are going to tow heavy loads a lot then bag on axle is by far the strongest but the ride is harsh with out a load. Bag on bar at a 2:1 lift ratio makes ride quality very nice but you loose tongue weight capability.
