The plane is actually a B25 Mitchell ( same last name as me LOL), flying by Mt. Vesuvius in Italy. I recently donated that print to the Confederate Air Force located here in Mesa Az. The rifle in question is actually a older Bushmaster, that I sold right after the original video came out in 2020. I'm with you I have a love vs hate thing for the A1 and A2 rifles, I love them, but I hate that I don't own more! Thanks again!

Hey Buddy! Once upon a time and land far away I had access to every tool and gauge imaginable! I don't have "uncle Sam monies for all the toys!!! LOL I have not checked it with the "function gauges". I currently do not own any (yet!). I do have access to these, but didn't want to drive 45 minutes to use them! I use a digital caliper gauge to check the tail, and double check with a micrometer for confirmation. (Ring gauges on the want list as well!) I also use a LED light inside as well!! I sometime will "paint" the respective pin gauge to see if there is any specific area that binds when inserting the appropriate pin. Part 2 is coming up and I do discuss the hammer spring! @@seniortac4175 I understand budgets and my ring gauges were pricey lol. I consider function gauges mandatory for barrel inspections..Well worth the money IMO. I have found quite a few out of spec chambers with them. I had mine custom made with longer handles so I can inspect barrels already installed through the back of the upper receiver without the hassle of using a short or no handle function gauge. Looking forward to part 2 and yes, I did enjoy the credits :)

Hey Brother! The barrel is fine for my usage. Correct the TDP for the M4A1 is 0.062 +.001. Chrome Lining is only beneficial for sustained full auto fire, so not being CL isn't a big deal for me. I only drop the uppers on my FA lower just for shits and giggles, and new shooters, WOW factor. The GPD at 0.070 also isn't a big deal, for this specific "build". Oddly enough the GPD / H2 buffer combo seems to be working quite well in both semi / FA, as well as suppressed. The cyclic rate is slowed down, the ejection is near perfect! I do want to get some M855A1 and test it. How do you like the Schmid 2 stage so far?? I see they have a flat trigger now, I'm interested in that!!! Thanks for watching and commenting!

@bmeng8195.......Actually you can get complete sets of the pin gauges from Amazon! They are close enough for this type of work. Another great source is McMaster-Carr....a bit more expensive but you can get many different sizes! Thanks for the comment, please like and subscribe!!! Negative Sir, BRAND NEW out of the box. I did spray it off with brake cleaner to remove anything that may have been present.

I have a very good friend that has one of the SHARPS BCG in Nickle Boron. I gauged it when he first got it, and it was to spec! He has about 3k rounds on it, with no issues. It cleans up pretty well. He just doesn't like the change in the color.

@blackyzfr1, I stand corrected about Colt barrels / TDP being CHF. Hence you are correct! I actually called my Colt rep earlier for clarification!!! The process that COLT barrels used was button-broached aka COLD FORMING RIFLING! This process was used to create more accurate barrels! Oddly enough Colt Canada aka Diemaco actually used CHF barrels! BTW, I'm attempting to acquire the Diemaco TDP / Prints! I will need to correct this video asap! And I'm on the hunt for a Diemaco barrel or two! @@seniortac4175 Binging your videos on that Colt as we speak. Nice to see someone set the record straight on Colt. Their management and ownership is most definitely a crap house, but the rifles they actually produce are still some of the most consistent and well built rifles on the market. Every time I handle one, they feel like a shit brick house. If your taking suggestions, I'd love to see content geared towards some of the other less expensive receiver offerings. Both uppers and lowers would be nice. I'm always recommending my friends and acquaintances they put the money into the bcg and barrel if money is tight, and to not waste it on gimmicky stuff that offers no performance advantage (I'm the guy who has an LMT BCG in Anderson receivers lol). Just for laughs, I'd like to see more content on BCA products. I don't know anyone who's gauged one of their bcgs, or receivers. But I don't expect you to waste money on anything like that, its purely a curiosity. The biggest thing I think is missing in this space, is barrel details. I, and many others, have fallen for the "cold hammer forging" hype beast marketing. I'm not implying it isn't a quality process, because it absolutely is. I've just seen to many asinine claims that have no basis in reality about CHF barrels. BCA bought CHFing machines, and they made a video claiming it expands barrel life up to three times as much. I'd almost believe it if it came from Colt, FN, or DD, but you know BCA is spreading BS just to make money. I wish you the best of luck on your channel. Agree 100%, I couldn't have said it better..The only thing that would make one better than the other is the resale value if that was important..Perception rather than reality comes to mind..
