It’s good. You have so many more sounds available to you in an orchestra. Brass, strings, woodwinds, flutes, percussion, organ etc. use them all well in your next composition.

I've been meaning to dive into Devins world. He's been on my radar since the 90s, and I need to stop avoiding him. I REALLY like the songs I've heard. Decided to check out someones ranking video, but most metal TH-cam channels are pretty insufferable, not that mine is any better. You did a good job here. You did a pretty good job reviewing. I like this album from RED also. I differ in my thoughts in some areas in specific details from you but that's just my thoughts. It is kind of different not having a ballad for RED indeed but it's fine and works here okay.

I dove more into RED this year there’s some songs I enjoyed in the past from there first two albums but in 2020 there a band I’ve really come to enjoy sever is my favorite song from declaration

Good review! I, personally, gave the album a 10/10 just because of how much it sounded like the old RED with some new features mixed in with it. I may have overhyped it in my review a little bit, but I still think it stands at a 10 for me. As far as where I would place it in the discography, I would probably put this as my 3rd favorite.

Great review man. I personally think the album was decent. There are tracks which I love such as The Victim, Cauterize, The War We Made, Sever and Float, but almost all of the songs feel underdeveloped. Take a look at the lyrics and you'll notice the verses are very short (especially the 2nd verses), not giving the songs enough time to breathe. And I do agree on you with Float. While I think it's a really good song with all the screaming and instrumentals, that buildup leading straight back to the chorus was a disappointment. Personally, the only true offender on this album is Only Fight. The song is interesting, and had the potential to be a great RED song, but it was lacking so much. The lyrics weren't very interesting and almost nonexistent in a way (besides the verses, just like on FTA, the two worst songs on this album ironically), and there wasn't too much happening musically until near the end. You can only hear the same exact vocals of Michael going "ONLY FIIIGHT," and "what I do," so many times before it gets tiring. This album is a 7/10 for me. Declaration isn't mediocre or bad, but it isn't super amazing either.
