i love the empty roar

It seems like filled up B&M is more quiet than the ones that empty. No wonder empty B&Ms like Montu at Tampa Florida makes a roar sound.

I'm here in Rapid City as well, but originally from Arkansas (grew up going to SDC most summers). I really enjoy theme parks, and while I hope this comes to fruition, like you, I highly doubt this will be much more than an rv park.

Any updates on whether they repaired the rotator, or just replaced the siren? (With a name of "Rapid City", they should have done it in a hurry!)

Dragon khan has the best roar in Europe and it could be heard from the entrance

I live in Rapid City. My mom works a a store that's about a 1/4 of a mile from the site. Every time we pass it, I always get a good glimpse of it.

The roar is awesome, but I prefer the sand filled so it doesn’t destroy your ears

The track is probably filled because it's at knotts. Close to homes and businesses. The cedar point track is far away from anything, so it doesn't matter how much noise it makes. I guess parks try not to spend money on the sand to fill the track

Awesome video! I wouldn't mind seeing a follow up when the construction is complete and roadway is open to full capacity. Definitely looks like it would save time waiting at stoplights!

Great Bear’s is very unique it changes throughout the experience especially the straight track before the Immelmann

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the sound difference between Silver Bullet and Raptor is also (mostly ?) created by the type of wheels those two rides are using : nylon for Raptor, polyurethane for Silver Bullet. Nylon wheels are more rigid and are consequently noisier.

An empty track B&M sounds like a low-flying fighter jet - Monster at Walygator Park is extremely loud, both off-ride and on-ride! This clone of Cedar Points "Raptor" might not look very nice, but the lack of a mid-course brake run makes this ride very intense - it's awesome!

Most places will keep it empty but some places like Dorney park and I guess knots are filled with sand because of the neighboring communities
