No clue what this is but looks cool, reminds me of snes good o days, games like earthbound, Chrono trigger final fant era. Love switch. Has so many amazing games its endless, i see more games i wana play every day, ive forgotten more games than played. Best console of all time, for the fact the games are quality ober looks, causes development teams to create memorable experiences n the more other creators make good games it causes other try one up them so everything goes hard on switch. Everyone gonna be so disappointed with new Nintendo console its gonna be impossible live up to the switch. Impossible feat nut hopefully its same concept just make it where developers can do more stuff in games w more power. I prey they dont change too much

I never did play this one, but it does look like a good one. When it said Power of the Dragon, it reminded me of a night last summer when I drank a beer called Dragon's Milk. I bought a four-pack, and I didn't even get to the fourth beer before the dragon knocked me out🤣 That stuff is strong!!!

Congrats on beating the game! Now it's time to pick up hard-mode and play it through again with half health! Seriously though, I do have fond memories of this game. As one of the last NES games, it really pushes what the console can do and I still love how it looks and sounds. If you're planning to play the first Kirby game, I should warn you that you can't save but it's also really short. It's like 20 minutes long. I would, however, highly recommend Return to Dreamland on Wii or Switch. That's an extremely well put-together game with a lot more meat to it.

This was one of the funnest games I played back in the NES days. I believe they released this one after the NES top-loader hit the market, too. Good job on finishing the game! I do believe you found all the secrets, but will you ever go back to play Hero of Lore mode?

Oh, that's interesting. In the remake of this game on GBA (Nightmare in Dreamland), I'm pretty sure when you let the water into the bottom of the ship it actually shows a hole you can enter. I guess that isn't the case in this version! Ah, but that final level gives me goosebumps a bit. It's so classic! It's an abridged version of the original Kirby game on Gameboy, which is something that has become a bit of a recurring throwback in Kirby games. They'll often have a level like that. Congrats on finding the moon! That's another classic throwback to the original that has appeared in many games since.

UFO Kirby! Glad you got it, it's a super fun power. Unfortunately, there is a downside. But I don't tell you what it is! I think the secret in the ship level was another one that took me a while to figure out. When you hit the bomb block, it fills with water. What could that mean...?

Have you noticed the dancing Kirby on the lower right part of the screen next to the amount of lives you have? The lower you get on health, the faster he dances.

You should be able to use the slide technique to break those star block things, the ones you see all the time and can break very easily.

Congrats on finding that hidden door behind the little waterfall on level 4! If I recall, that was one of the last ones I got when I played this game originally. Hah, watching this makes me want to play another Kirby game again!

I was going to point you back in the direction of that out-of-place block in the sky, but you found it yourself! Yeah, Kirby games can be pretty sneaky with how they hide doors. You'll be a master at finding them if you 100% this game!

Good job getting that switch! Yes, pressing down and A or B causes Kirby to slide which is very useful, like how you got to that switch.

It's good to see this game again! At 2:04 you'll see some blocks in mid-air. Try flying under one of them, I think it's the first or second one, and you'll find a secret. It's a hidden door, so press up. It's been such a long time since I played the game but I still remember that one secret😂 Also, if you press the d-pad twice in one direction, i.e. left-left or right-right, Kirby will run in that direction.

Here's another little hint: if the game hands you a copy ability like at 1:53, it probably means you'll be needing it for a puzzle or something coming up. At the very least, it will likely make the current area easier to traverse. This is especially true for abilities that have unique effects, like destroying sturdy blocks or hitting wooden stakes in. There aren't many secrets that require an ability from a different level, they usually give it to you. Usually. Glad to see you got that switch, though! Some of them can be pretty tricky.

My first Kirby was Super Star, but I have fond memories of this game and it's music as everytime I went to ask one of my friends to go out to play with us, he was always playing this one on his NES <3

I really like this game a lot for me, as a Kirby fan myself! It's a wonderful series, and deserves more love, hope you'll play more in the future!

Huge gameplay hint incoming: you can press "Select" (or whatever the equivalent is on Switch) to drop your power. You don't need to ram yourself into enemies! Also, if you clear a level and see that its door is still flashing, that means you missed a hidden secret. Some levels have hidden rooms that unlock museums/minigames/whatever in the overworld. Just something to keep an eye out for if you plan to get that 100% completion. Luckily, that one room you couldn't access in this episode doesn't have anything important in it. But anyway, I love Kirby's Adventure! It wasn't my first Kirby game, I did play the old Gameboy game before it, but it's the first one I really put a lot of time into. It also introduced Kirby's copy abilities to the series, so it's historically important!

Congrats on reaching that 100%! I've never actually seen that image at the end, I always got the other one. I love Mario Sunshine though, just for a casual playthrough of all the levels. It's my favorite Mario game in a lot of ways, right up there with Galaxy. Odyssey never really clicked with me for some reason, but I've been meaning to give it another try sometime.

Ah yes, the area under the village is another one of those weird spots in this game that feels "out of bounds" to me for some reason. Of course, you're supposed to go down there to get to the shine. But to me, it always seems like I'm messing around somewhere I shouldn't be.

"Aiee-Aiee-Aiee-Mama-Aiee!" The sound of landing in the lava goop. I know it all too well.

Oh that darn balloon-popping level was the bane of my existence as a kid! I could never get them all. I got every other main level shine in the game, but not that one!

I like Sirena Beach, but man, getting those blue coins in that hotel is exasperating!!

I don't know why, but I find the little water bottles that pop up during the King Boo fight to be fascinating. They almost never appear anywhere else, but there are so many of them in that fight!

Oh the watermelons. How could they take a level about a beachside watermelon festival and turn it into one of the most infamous shines in the entire game? It's certainly memorable, I guess that's something!

I've never understood the whole argument of "X game is trapped on the Wii U." Like, it's a Wii U game. Of course it's on the Wii U. I've never seen that with any other console, it's like people just expect the entire library to be ported to Switch. I guess it's kind of understandable since they did end up porting many of the big games, but I've always seen that as a nice bonus rather than something they were obligated to do. Not that I'd be opposed to seeing Twilight Princess on Switch, of course! I wonder if people will make the same arguments when the Switch 2 comes out. "Breath of the Wild is trapped on Switch, where's the port???"

Ah, the dreaded Blue Coins! Looks like you've got your work cut out for you. I love how some of the "bonus" Shines are just in these little purgatories with a few piantas wandering around. How do they get there? Are they trapped there forever???

I've played Mario Sunshine many times, but honestly, I've never bothered to do the timed red coin bonus levels. You're braver than I for trying them!

Here are some tricks for pachinko : while you're thrown up, hold right always, will always land middle top coin, hold left always, will always land left top coin, dun touch anything, will land just above the shine 99% of the time. From there jump and hover left to bottom left coin (let go at the last green pin you'll hover above). Get thrown again without touching anything, but when you reach the top of the pachinko, hover right to the top right coin (let go right after the last green pin). Bottom right coin can reach from behind the level using the hovering nozzle, running, then hovering again. Train a few times (it's fairly easy once you know the tricks), you can now do the level first try 100% of the time after that.

How in the world do you slide with fludd like that? I've been able to slide, but the way you do it is a lot faster!

I love how they remade the original Super Mario Bros music for the special stages in this game. I often stop and snap my fingers to the beat of the music, ha!! It's great! Also, when you and Josh were talking about Sonic Colors Ultimate, in the Switch version, you're lucky enough to see the credits not once but twice! As if the Colors credits weren't long enough, when those have finished rolling, the screen will say, "And now for the Sonic Colors Ultimate credits!" Then you get to see them all over again. No joke, at least in the Switch version.

This is a fun game! I haven't played it since 2020, and after seeing this episode I'm wanting to play it again.
