Honestly the quality of this mod is impressive considering the quality of V2 was pretty low, but I still have 2 big problems with it. The music absolutely needed a redo, for one. A lot of the tracks are structured almost the exact same, they’re often repetitive, and when they aren’t spam based, they’re never really anything other than fine, besides Dace, Dace is actually pretty good. Later tracks in the story mode aren’t as repetitive and similar to other ones and that’s good, but they still aren’t really tracks I’d want to go back for a replay or listen to again, because Hortas’ spam tracks in general just blend together for me. The other problem comes with the lore. Having the characters be PNGs because that’s the lore honestly feels lazy, and even if it wasn’t the intent when writing them, it does feel like it. It is understandable if the team didn’t want to push their work load, but I think some lore changes with characters who are canonically PNGs should’ve been changed. This also applies to the vocals too, not every character needs to sound like Bambi yet again. Otherwise, I can admire a lot of the effort put in here, it definitely feels like a lot was put in it makes this stand out as much as possible, and I appreciate the charting on Normal being more tame and playable compared to the more accurate Insane charting, even if I think that the spam parts on Normal do generally blend together a lot charting wise. Nice work from the team here.
