First BJJ Competition - Masters White Belt Match 2 -180-189lbs

Here's my second match at the 2018 Naga Battle at the Beach. I'm in the white Gi. This guy was determined to finish me at the end. I took a better shot and caught the single. From there things progressed well and I played mostly top. I won on points 19-3. He went on to take 4th and I took 3rd in a 9 man bracket. Back to the drawing board with some major lessons learned. First BJJ Competition - White Belt Match 1 - 180-189lbs

Here's my first match at the 2018 Naga Battle at the Beach. I'm in the white Gi. This was a super tough opponent for me. He was very strong. I took a bad shot and he sprawled. From there my plan went out the window and I played from the bottom for most of the match. I lost on points 3-2. He went on to take 1st and I took 3rd in a 9 man bracket. Back to the drawing board with some major lessons ...
3:14 *Helio Gracie pass*
0:26 *Von Flue choke time!!!!*
Dominated the fight, and if the other dude knew how to put in a triangle he would’ve won
17 to 0 half way through. Hahaha nice
Good fight. Enjoyed the sweeps and your top control. Kudos to your opponent he was very determined. 😅
Your coach is dope
Your coach gave fantastic instruction. Clear, concise, and seemed to know how to get through to you. Kuddos!
Great win, I really like how your focus was on your roll but at the same time you could listen to your coach. Good job Sir!
What was the final score?
good job Enoch!
LOL at the white belt with all the patches on the back of his gi like he's sponsored.
awesome job.. that blue belt that knocked himself out tho with the flying armbar lmao
Nice I subbed
OK 👌👍👍
That Coach is absolutely AMAZING!
This is great! I want to see more and how you progress, so skilled
You still training?
Yup.
Good for you! You're fun to watch. Cheers 🍻
what is the age group/?
Good looking skill Enoch, congratulations
Nice, looking forward to seeing more. I've got my 1st white belt comp in June. Also have some home Sparring videos on my channel. BJJ Feedback/tips welcome.
Nah Enoch got some skills lol. The Kimura trap sweep to Armbar / Triangle on a younger dude at that? Bravo.
dis gotta be wild wood
Always cracks me up to see a white belt wearing a gi like a nascar driver
Black gi guy has little experience. No framing, allowing grips, not controlling posture.
The level of just sheer encouragement and fatherhood in this video makes me tear up. Beautiful.
Subbed
"SPRAWL THEM HIPS"..."SPRAWL DADDY"!
3:34 check the guy in the back with a black gi knocking himself on the mat 😆
Nothing more frightening and chaotic in this world then a jiu jitsu white belt match
Impressive, very calm and good movements for white belt.
yall are so supportive
How long had you been training before entering this competition ? In total ? And how many stripes did you have at this point?
About 12 months. This was around my 1 year anniversary. Earned my blue belt 2 months later.
Coach full of knowledge but annoying as hell..
3:35 bro was trying a flying arm bar and landed on his back... you can tell he tried to do it after one youtube video LOL
White belt, nice 😍
3:33 tko background fight left😆
Great sweep
Nice one!
Don’t stop uploading ! Keep going ! Ouss
Very solid
Great work Enoch...that match in the back had me laughing so hard ...from 3:35 to 3:46
Man thank you for pointing that out
Damn, dude knocked himself out. Careful with those flying submissions people! Jeez
bro was trying a flying arm bar and landed straight on his back
You and your coach are AWESOME!! OSS 🤙🏿
Amazing control of the top position. Very well done man, congrats to you, the coach and the opponent - it was a clean fight
I hate sandbagging. The guy in the white key was clearly a striped blue belt.
Whats sandbagging ?
This is so stupid it's not two fighters going at each other, but one fighter going against a whole team of trainers and their "student" that can't do anything on his own and the referee who is allowing this. I mean you don't go to an exam with you father to tell you what the right answers are, right. This was not a test of skill or knowledge, this was just one black dude who got all the answers handed to him while the white guy had to figure out the things on his own, it's the definition of cheating on your trail. I bet that without the coach shouting to him what to do, he'd panic and lose.
Nice job.
Thanks!
Nice job! First competition matches are an eye opener for sure!
Definitely!
Great coaching. 👍
I get it you have to coach him but let the dude do his thing, this is crazy who’s fighting the coach or the student. Let the student make some decisions. So he can learn as opposed to just doing what coach is yelling.
3:13 lol
