I only recommended Isuzu based and Toyota utes to friends and family, Rangers are the worst - not sure how they became the top selling car, and Amaroks are very needy vehicles. The Isuzus should be noted that there is/was a recall for fuel lines splitting, but otherwise the 4JJ3 is pretty bullet-proof. The Hiluxs im not all that familiar with, but I've witnessed a ~2018 one be used as a tractor day in, day out for years with mud that made perfect molds of the bottom half of the engine and gearbox, and a clogged radiator, that thing just kept trucking with no issues ever even without consistant maintenance. Each make has its merits though, and one should make their decisions on what they require, just keep a fresh P5AT around if you buy a PX Ranger 😅

Hiluxes are garbage now anyway. Their auto boxes are laggy, their manual boxes top out too early in every gear. Man, even the Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connections keep regularly dropping out. You really gonna tell me those things are better than the new BTs?
