AllDogs Offroad RCKilla lift kit post installation on my Nissan Frontier
มุมมอง 79K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Recently installed my RCKilla kit from AllDogs Offroad, I wasn't able to do a installation video but here's a walk through of what went into installing this kit and some tips if your looking to install this kit yourself.
Differential Breather Relocation Install - Nissan Frontier
มุมมอง 6K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Installation of a breather relocation kit for the rear differential. The kit I have is from AllDogs Offroad but just about any breather kit is better than the factory breather and all kits will install basically the same way.

    Nice video! I am going to put on an RCKilla kit in a few months for a winter project, and this was a great help. I will likely bite the bullet and swap out to new forged UCAs while in there, given how cheap and flimsy the Nissan OEM UCAs are. That is one item they should be ashamed of on the P4X model to not have beefed them up. Great wheel and tire choice too. So no cutting or bending the wheel wells at +18 offset and 17 in rims? That would be a nice surprise!

    • @pro4xadventures345
      @pro4xadventures345 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the kit from AllDogs gave it 2” up front and 1.5” in the rear and then an additional inch of clearance with the 33’s. It’s not a lot of lift but enough for the 33’s to not rub at full compression.

    • @pro4xadventures345

      No the lift was from the springs I changed on the coil overs. The cam bolts are so the front end can be aligned after the lift is installed. Unfortunately the frontiers, at least mine, didn’t come with adjustable came bolts. The lift will add camber that has to be corrected.

      @@pro4xadventures345 or do you ever kinda wish you had a 1/2 spacer in the front to level it some more. But I guess even with it level if there's stuff in the bed it'll sag.

    • @pro4xadventures345
      @pro4xadventures345 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Problem with a spacer is you’ll get coil bucket contact unless you change the uppers. Eventually it will be getting a rack and such so that should level it out a bit more.

  • @ChrisGramm
    @ChrisGramm 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great walk through video 🤙🏼 Have you had any issues with drivetrain? Pinion angles still good? Have you used it off-road and maxed out articulation? I just bought the '22 Pro4X two days ago and already found out that she's definitely in need of a few inches(aren't we all) to clear the lava fields here in Hawaii.

    • @pro4xadventures345
      @pro4xadventures345 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Had no issues with the drivetrain at all, off road articulation in the rear is excellent, up front it’s good but the springs are stiff so travel is ok but not great. Works fine for what I do with it.

  • @portlandtwowheels1872
    @portlandtwowheels1872 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I see that you've answered some of this already but do you experience any rubbing front/rear, full lock left or right while the suspension is articulating? As in this: when you move/crawl or drive over larger obstacles that cause the suspension to flex a lot, does it rub with turning the wheels?

    • @pro4xadventures345
      @pro4xadventures345 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t had any issues with rubbing lock to lock up front, I also haven’t noticed any rubbing under heavy articulation either. With this lift just being a heavier spring up front you have to get into some crazy positions to get the front end really compressed but so far I haven’t had any contact issues. I do have a lot more articulation in the rear with the leafs, I got a little lucky with the +17 offset on the wheels which pulled the tires in just enough to clear the rear fender and be able to tuck into the wheel well under full articulation in the rear. Zero offset would most likely make contact in the rear but never ran zero offset so not completely sure on that, jus guessing based off how close mine are.

    • @portlandtwowheels1872
      @portlandtwowheels1872 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pro4xadventures345 Well I have the stock 18 inch wheels. Apparently they have a 30mm offset. I guess that kind of screws me over.

    • @pro4xadventures345
      @pro4xadventures345 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not necessarily, the + 30 is only a little more than a half inch further in than my +17’s. I have seen guys running 33’s on the stock Pro4x wheels. Hit the FB groups or the frontier forum and ask around. I know there are guys running this lift with the stock wheels.

    I am pretty late to the game here so not sure if you will see this comment but after installed does your pro-4x sit level? I have '17 pro4x and wanting a small lift. the most common I have seen for pro4x is this one or readylift (2.5 inch front spacer, 1.5 inch rear). My concern with readylift is it may sit higher in the front. however probably easier install. I do not do much offroading so not too concerned about coil bucket contact if it isn't too bad. What are your thoughts? You seem to have way more experience than me in this field. thanks for video!

    • @pro4xadventures345
      @pro4xadventures345 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The RCKilla lift I installed did level a bit but the rear is still a little higher. However for me that’s fine, I’ll eventually be adding racks and gear which will add weight on he rear. As for coil bucket issues there are none as far as I can tell so far. The spring replacement doesn’t change the suspension geometry so good to go there. Obviously coil bucket contact can be an issue with the spacers because those do change the geometry. Even on road with speed bumps and pot holes you may still have contact. you can probably get away with it but off road it could cause issues without changing the uppers.

  • @joshuacopeland2124

    • @pro4xadventures345
