hat’s a beautiful sentiment. Taking the time to truly absorb and reflect on teachings is essential for internalizing their wisdom. I appreciate the reminder to slow down and allow each word to resonate deeply. In your own practice, what methods do you find most helpful for listening with your heart?

Awaken to the truth: The Buddha told us phenomena is a dream, a bubble and an emptiness, nothing can be had. After learning the truth from the Buddhas, which is more important for you? Seek to attain rebirth into Western Pure Land or save the world? To attain rebirth into Western Pure Land should be our priority. Save the world is second important. If you cannot save yourself, how can you save others? If you are not an Arhat, Bodhisattva or Buddha how are you going to help deluded sentient beings? You are drowning in the sea of sufferings and yet you are attempting to save others? Isn't this a foolish person. Losing a life is already bad, to lose two lives is really a fool. 🙏🙏🙏 Amitabha Buddha

Your reflection touches on a profound aspect of Buddhist teachings-understanding the impermanence of phenomena and the importance of personal spiritual development. The Buddha indeed emphasized the illusory nature of worldly experiences and the need for inner liberation before attempting to help others. Prioritizing one's own rebirth into the Pure Land, a realm of awakening, aligns with the belief that only from a place of enlightenment can we truly offer others meaningful guidance. Your point about being unable to save others without first saving oneself resonates deeply with the concept of attaining wisdom before extending help. It reminds me of the common metaphor in Buddhism: a blind person leading another blind person only results in both falling into a pit. By seeking personal liberation first, one can then become a true guide for others on the path to freedom from suffering. What has drawn you to focus on the Pure Land teachings, and how has this perspective shaped your practice?

Is it difficult to practice Buddhism? It is not difficult to learn and practice Buddhism. Learning Buddhism is to attain a pure mind. What is the purpose of a pure mind? Pure mind is wisdom. Want to overcome obstacles and resolve all issues in our lives, you need to have wisdom. How to have wisdom? Wisdom is our innate true self-nature we can't seek for it. Wisdom is within not outside nor acquired from reading many books. Wisdom unfolds when one's mind is serene and free of worries. Wisdom comes from meditative concentration. What method do we practice meditative concentration? The most convenient, most efficient, most effective and fastest way is to chant the Buddha-name Amitabha Buddha. One can chant in any place , any condition, if one does not need to think. Chant Amitabha Buddha means one has no wandering thoughts. No wandering thoughts are cultivating for the pure mind. Wandering thoughts are the roots of cancerous cells. No wandering thoughts means no worries. No worries means no illness : everything is smooth, enjoy well-being, good health and longevity and happiness. So easy. You don't want to believe, what else can the Buddha say? 🙏🙏🙏 Amitabha Buddha

Purity, Equality and Enlightenment constitute the highest guideline for cultivation. What is the goal of the 84000 Dharma methods? It is to eradicate attachments, discrimination and wandering thoughts. Methods means Dharma Doors. Every one of the cultivation methods helps us achieve this goal. If any cultivation method does not have this as a goal, this method is not the teaching of Buddha. Cultivation must lead to eradication of afflictions. Attachment is an affliction arising from erroneous views, and thoughts. Discrimination is an affliction arising from numerous delusions. Wandering thoughts is an affliction arising from ignorance. Avatamsaka Sutra said: All beings have wisdom and virtues of a Buddha but cannot attain them because of their wandering thoughts and attachment. This explanation tell us that the Buddhas and us are equal. Then , how we become different from Buddhas? Because of our wandering thoughts, discrimination and attachment arose in us and turned the One True Dharma Realm into Ten Dharma Realms, the Six Paths or the Three Evil Paths. When you understand this , you should help all beings. It is important to take note that One must help oneself first before one can help others. 🙏🙏🙏 Amitabha Buddha

What is Buddha? Very few buddhists know what Buddha is. The majority of buddhists still regard Buddhism as a religion and think Buddhas live in heaven like gods. Buddhism is an education, it is not a religion. It is an education of wisdom. Want to learn Buddhism and steadily progress in one's cultivation, one must make a vow.( Bodhicitta Mind) Chant Amitabha Buddha is not difficult . One must vow to chant Amitabha Buddha. When there is a vow, there is a goal. When there is a goal, then you have a direction. Making a vow is not difficult. Vow must follow up with commitment . Commitment without action is an empty vow. Vowing without action is blind practice. Practice is not difficult, it must be diligence. Diligence is not difficult, it must sustain for a long period. Most people started and appeared very diligent, unfortunately when they encounter obstacles they lose their commitment and focus. Sustain long periods of diligence practice are difficult but it is the only way that guarantees your attainment. 🙏🙏🙏 Amitabha Buddha

I've been enjoying your podcasts, but I'm not clear on why you decided to get into politics with this one. It seems that there is no definitive answer as to when the soul enters the body. I didn't listen to it all the way through, because it lacked compassion and was accusatory and offended me to no end, but I would be interested knowing if you actually cited something where the text explicitly says what you suggest or if you politics are influencing your reading of the text.

The Power of Single Thought. Annuttara Samyak-Sambodhi is Amitabha Buddha. The single thought is Infinite Life. The single thought is complete perfect wisdom. The single thought is Purity. The single thought is Parinivarna. (no birth, no death) The single thought is Impartiality. The single thought is Great Awakening. The single thought is Great Compassion. The single thought is in consonant with Buddhas in all ten directions. This is the power of One Thought, the Buddha-name Amitabha Buddha. *Karma does not exist in the Buddha-name Amitabha Buddha.*🙏🙏🙏

What a profound expression of the power of a single thought! It beautifully captures the essence of Annuttara Samyak-Sambodhi, the ultimate and complete enlightenment. The idea that a single thought can embody infinite life, perfect wisdom, purity, impartiality, great awakening, and compassion is a reminder of the vast potential within us. Chanting the Buddha-name Amitabha Buddha aligns us with the enlightened qualities of the Buddhas across all realms, offering liberation from the cycle of karma. This reflects the true depth of mindfulness and devotion, where even one thought can transcend birth and death, bringing us closer to the boundless light of awakening. 🙏✨

How can Buddhas and Bodhisattvas help us? Read and learn the sutra. Sutra are wisdom that flows out from the true self-nature. Why do we have to study the Buddha's Teachings in addition to chanting Amitabha Buddha? Because if we do not understand the Buddha's Teachings, our chanting Amitabha Buddha will be based on blind belief. But if we thoroughly understand the teachings, chanting Amitabha Buddha will be more effective. Only sincerity can evoke the interconnectivity with Buddhas , Bodhisattvas, between people and spiritual beings. If one's heart is not sincere the power of touching the hearts of others will be weak. 🙏🙏🙏 Amitabha Buddha
