Marvis Frazier - Highlights and Knockouts
มุมมอง 6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
#frazier #philadelphia #philly #80s #heavyweight #joe #knockout #ko #marvis #james #smith #bonecrusher #bugner #ribalta #jose Marvis Frazier, son of Joe Frazier. I have always felt that Marvis was better than given credit for. People these days seem to remember him for his only 2 loses to Larry Holmes and Mike Tyson. However he was 19-2 as a Pro and 12-1 as an Am. cheers.
Duk Koo Kim - Tribute (1955-1982)
มุมมอง 1.2K2 ปีที่แล้ว
A real warrior. A genuine fighter. A man who wrote the words "kill or be killed" on his lamp shade the night before his fight with Ray Mancini. I have a deep respect for Duk Koo Kim and his family. Kim passed away in the hospital 5 days after his 14th round TKO loss to Ray Mancini. Kim's mother (Yang Seon-Nyeo) would drink pesticide 2 months later. Rest in Peace. Referee Richard Green would fol...
Mitch "Blood" Green Career Tribute

Fairly quick video done here, apologies for the brief audio glitch at the 3 minute mark (only lasts 1 second, but is still disappointing). I always enjoyed watching Green fight as he almost always displayed the heart of a lion. #boxing #80s #heavyweight #mitch #blood #green #newyork #highlights #harlem #knockout #nyc #tyson

He even poor hit poor Hearns, AGAIN when the defeated fighter was slowly falling down. Then at 0:44 you got Hearns looks up as though he sees a vison of Jesus, or something.

Brooklyn hitter Shannon. Lets go champ 💯💯💪🏾💪🏾
Mitch was nice with the hands tho
Both of these guys were class. To maintain that type of form for 15 intense rounds is incredible. Olajide lost no respect. Tate was precise and workmanlike.
Never saw this fight before, thank you. Also Bobick had the look of a good young fighter but in reality he had no jab and was too stationary. An easy target for a skilled boxer like Norton or Ali. I will say he has heart, stands toe to toe with the a brawler. Wepner had heart as well, but no skill. He was a tough man though.
Jerry Ouarry Heavyweights champion 🏆 of World never won it but to me he was RIP.
Marvis was better when he used his own style. He was more of a boxer-puncher, using his speed and combination. He changed to the pick a boo, Frazier style, which wasn’t really his best style. I think Marvis also displayed more power in his initial boxer-puncher style. Still, he has a relatively good career and even beat future champion - Bonecrusher Smith. Good HW, who might have been better served fighting as a cruiserweight. Probably would have picked up a belt and maybe defended it a few time. He was actually talented and had a fighters heart. However, using Joe’s style just wasn’t his best style and it made him seem a little less of a fighter then he really was after the Holmes and Tyson fights. He was good fighter, who if managed and trained better would have been remembered, I think, as a very good fighter, and maybe even a champion.
marvis beating james bonecrusher smith is a huge accomplishment to think about!
dis mf make me laugh every video i been watching of him he could of been a movie star
Michael Spinks would have knocked out Bob Foster easily, Mike was to strong for the lanky, slow footed Foster.
Agree to disagree.
Lotta them long lanky niggaz could Crack
Nice. Hard to find footage on Mitch
True. A lot of it is on VHS tapes.
Has to be the greatest chin of all time
I can't get no......... Sa tis fac tion
One of the very last 15 rounders
A bad bad man. I honestly don't think he gets his just due. Easily one of the best Light Heavies ever
My dad met Bob Foster once, he was intimidated by his stare until he spoke, he even shook his hand as well.
Lyle was mostly used up by this point in his career
Girmaye
Wow I'm with him right now.. I been looking after him for about 2 yrs. And we he just told me who he was.. 😂 But wait until he fi n d out who I'm am..
Whoever you are, you dont comoare to him bud.
Great fighter, great guy.
Mike Spinks knocked out Cooney in 5 rounds in 1987
The good ole days of Boxing on NBC. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching
Why is the great, late Ron Lyle wearing a yellow ear ring in the thumb nail??
That is not ron lyle in the thumbnail. It is a woman from one of the advertisments
@@oldschoolboxing6048 I think you are trying to justify Lyle being a cross dresser/drag queen. You don't have to, as what he does with his private life outside the boxing ring is his affair. And providing it doesn't harm anyone, good luck to him.
Ferguson was damn well tough, and if you underestimated him, you'd be in for a rough night. Mercer, Holmes, Douglas, etc. I was thinking about making a highlight reel for Jesse myself- But was struggling to find the right song to go along with The Boogeyman. I know he used to have the Halloween theme played before and after he won fights.
Feguson fights were always a great watch. Thanks for watching.
Bugner sure came to fight , and this after he stopped Richard Dunn in the first round in his last fight. Only wish Bugner had shown this aggression in his second fight against Ali.
He had his Dad's heart but not the body
Just a OG Ally brawler. Dude had a iron chin too
Left hook from hell. Thanks for watching.
Buster destroyed Tyson.
No way really 😱
Yeah, and Tyson is making excuses for that loss.
Marvis wasnt joe. And is only remembered losses against 2 greats but marvis was a very good fighter with excellent wins and a very nice man a credit to joe and mostly himself
Legend what a great fighter miss him but have the memories
I new scrap good man meet him in LA he loved to play cards Georgia Skin he called me Ricky 😅
This is one of the things that's wrong with the boxing media these days: there's not enough love for warriors like George Johnson. Record monkeys may look at Boxrec and point out that Scrap Iron had a losing record... But they don't seem to appreciate that he fought in one of the toughest heavyweight eras, nor do they look at the type of fights he put up against all time greats. He fought Frazier, Liston, and Foreman. Even Quarry and Lyle. And even those that beat him in his final years, they usually went on to fight all time greats like Ali, Holmes, and Norton. Scrap Iron was durable and very underrated. Thanks a ton for making this video 🙌🏽
If their wasn’t actual video proof i wouldn’t have believed it 😂
Oliver McCall defeated Lennox Lewis and Larry Holmes. But he loses to frank bruno, these are his most memorable fights in boxing history.
Briggs was one of the hardest punchers in the history of the heavyweight division!
Какой интересный бой !
COONEY WAS ONE BADASS PUNCHER. HE DID THE BEST HE COULD AGAINST HOLMES BUT HOLMES WAS HOLMES AND ONE OF THE GREATEST UNDERRATED FIGHTERS IN BOXING HISTORY! I LOVE THEM BOTH AS BOTH ARE WARRIORS!
THAT WAS NOT A LOW BLOW! THAT WAS A SHOT TO THE LIVER...IT'S PLAIN TO SEE!
He was a monster, I’m an extremely honored to get training from him
I was a prison guard when Jumbo was in Stateville
@@johnfleming8648 thats very interesting. Did you ever get to see or interact with him?
some of these refs ought to be arrested
Yeah.. this one was brutal.
Such a ferocious warrior. rip champ
He was a talented, tough and entertaining boxer to watch. Unfortunately, he was not a consistent performer in the ring. Great choice of music for this career montage of Jerry Quarry. It all brings back colorful memories of an exciting era in professional boxing.
Good music selection
Thank you. Thanks for watching aswell 🍻
Jerry Quarry would have been the cruiserweight champion of the world today.
@@arautus agreed.
