He simply is the best driver ever! And that documentary explains it in a great way! There were many great drivers, but only two who were really not from this planet - these two were Schumacher and Senna! But Schumacher was more complete than Senna, thats why he is overall better than Senna.
how can they not see that all the great drivers did things in race situation that weren right...but if u have ever raced then u get it why it happens.. right?
Ferrari had a bad start in 2006, if it weren't for the bad start, Schumacher could have also won in 2006. He dominated the second half of the year while playing catch-up to Alonso in the suspect Renault (mass damper affair). However, playing catch-up leaves no room for error or reliability issues and a blown engine while leading in Japan was enough to sink Ferrari and Schumacher's title hopes. That blown engine was the first in years for Ferrari, a remarkable achievement by the engine department
No overtake specialist (ala Juan Montoya), but it's pretty ballsy to go wheel to wheel, and endure contact while making that manoeuver, on the outside, going into a tight chicane. one of his best imo.
Gilles Villeneuve was known as great before his death & after...he was in $hit equipment, followed team orders in 1979...and unfortunately died. Everyone who watched and knew what was what back then was aware of how good he was.....paper does not tell his story. Much the same as paper does not tell Schumacher's story.
All of a sudden Alesi sees this Benetton and had no option but to give way, that sounds like Senna to Alesi , Schumi was sth like Senna if not evything.
@plmcmm like i said before, don't forget that winning is only 30% about the driver and 70% the car. Both schumacher won because of mighty team dominance. If they both were in second tier teams, neither of them would've achieved anything. Just look at alonso, he's also an excellent driver, but again, look at his performance with renault in 08 and 09, he didn't achieve anything. but you put him in a ferrari, he almost won in 2010.
@plmcmm no doubt schumacher and senna are both great drivers, both of them were also greatly over-glorified. They were just exceptionally good drivers and good atheletes, that's it. apart from that, they were just ordinary human beings, they also falter under pressure and were also influenced by emotions. i;m sure schumacher would've never won so many championships if he wasn't with ferrari and neither would senna if he wasnt with the mighty mclaren.
@plmcmm that's not true, senna was already quite old, 34, when he died. even if he still was alive, he wouldn't be competitive against the much younger schumacher, especially considering how physically demanding new cars had become after he died. Many drivers have said that winning is 70% car and only 30% driver, if schumacher stayed in ferrari the whole time and senna constantly drive for second tier teams, schumacher would've still won 7, maybe even more championships.
@mblisniuk Not strictly true. Mika Hakkinen and Kimi Raikonnen were more than capable of challenging Schumacher. However, Hakkinen retired and Raikonnen's cars tended be unreliable. The true talent of Schumacher was his ability to build a team around him that could provide him with what was necessary to win.
Yes, in 2000-2004 schumacher won because he had the best car. But have you ever wondered why he had the best car? When Schumacher got to Ferrari in 1996 the team was a mess, they hadn't won anything in years. Schumacher (and everyone he brought with him) rebuilt the Ferrari team entirely. It took them a few years, but by 2000 Schumacher had such a great car and an amazingly solid team that they won 5 championships in a row (and Schumi could have won 1999 if he didn't break his leg...)
@mblisniuk you cant say that senna is the best and you cant say that schumacher is the best.senna and schumacher are the best drivers in f1 history, but you cant say, which driver is better.
You comment that Senna was a dirty driver, you must not know anything about F1. Senna is the greatest driver of all time that raced against other drivers with true talent; Schumacher never did! Dirty driver, how about parking your car in the middle of the track during Monaco qualifying so the better driver's couldn't get their laps in. Schumacher is a good driver, even very good. But not great.
@plmcmm You can try to convince yourself with this poor argument, but everybody that knows the history of this 2 drivers also knows that Senna's history is much more exciting. Not to mention the great man he was out of the tracks.Even Prost became a friend after he stooped racing, despite all the years of the most ferocious, controversial and exciting battle against pilots ever seem.Schumi ruled in a very boring era in the F1 history, where there was no much changes in the rules from year 2 year.
@TheM4RK2K10 you missed the entire point of his comment... and you have your "facts" wrong. MJ, debatable and I don't really care. Tupac is a hypocrite. He talks of peace when he just as guilty being a harm to society. Senna was a nasty driver, like the other champions. You need the aggression to win. Watch some of his intentional crashes and try justifying yourself again.

Mblisniuk: How about crashing into Prost in an attempt to win the championship? That's all fair or what?
how can they not see that all the great drivers did things in race situation that weren right...but if u have ever raced then u get it why it happens.. right?
senna crashed into prost but prost crahsed into senna the year before..

Agree with you
u speak the truth
read his interview in f1 racing,
Well Schumacher is hardly going to nominate himself as the best is he..
and he would have won in 1998 if he hadn't crashed into DC at spa
im a huge schumi fan my favourite driver by far, but when u say senna is a dirty driver you have to say schumi is to.
i hope everyone spams the fuck out of your page and account until its unusable.

@jfzclips Senna died in 1994. What the fuck are you trying to say?
@mblisniuk Not strictly true. Mika Hakkinen and Kimi Raikonnen were more than capable of challenging Schumacher. However, Hakkinen retired and Raikonnen's cars tended be unreliable.
