A Proven Leader with Passion integration into Process
I try to listen to this speech at least once a year. Through the years I've heard a lot of people say a lot of bad things about Nick Saban. And I always thought to myself "they just don't understand how he really is & how he really does care about the coaches & the players & everyone else in & around the organization and program. And also in my honest opinion, that caring & developing relationships with the coaches & players IS ALSO WHAT LED TO HIS RETIREMENT! I think all the NIL deals & players that haven't even accomplished anything on the field were looking at him wanting money. And Coach doesn't work that way. If you are a part of a NIL deal that isn't something Saban is going to be involved with! He's there to Coach football players not commercial actors. And if you want to play football then let's play football. The NIL BS was just getting in the way of that. Saban has always cared about his players & his coaches. But the way College Football is progressing it made it harder for him to care about his players and he was constantly being disappointed by most of them not showing any kind of loyalty to him & the program he represents. I hope that made sense! But every year I like to come back here & watch this video over. It inspires me & motivates me to want to be a better person!
Special. Would do anything to be able to put on the pads and go to war for this Saban… but lucky to be in the digital age to be able to hear this guy speak.
Love this! As a therapist, I teach this all the time. You've got to learn to love the process. The process is really about living in the moment. This moment right here is all you really have control over. And, what you focus on, you magnify. So, it's important to stay focused on the process because whenever you focus on anything else, such as the future or the past, you're actually reliquishing control of your life. Focusing too much on the future causes anxiety. Focusing too much on the past causes depression. Magnify the moment! Love the process, and finish the play. ThanX for the motivation Mr. Saban!!!
Nice..
- Saban speech Define “do your job” Every player whats their “why” “confront them with their goals” 22:00 you loose respect when you dont hold players accountable “make it about them”
This is why I have been a bama fan my whole life
🎉❤🎉❤ dang eye opener
Sounds like someone's shaving in the background 😅
Excellent advice. You can see why he is where he is.
Amazing ❤🎉
As a Georgia native and die hard UGA fan man we are sure lucky to have had a man like this in College Football. Thank you Coach Saban for what you did for the SEC and for what you did for Coach Smart we couldn't have inherited someone from a better program.
Wrong!!!!! He is not one of the best college football coaches he is the greatest college football coach to ever live!!!!! Get it right!!!
15:27 holy cow Nick Saban is helping me with my education degree! What a master educator. 😮
That game was the best game my little school ever had and we have won a National Championship for our division. Thank you Nick Saban for all you have done for college football. ❤

Hey bro you need an video editor?
Damn he's so good!!!
Saban is smart. This stuff really works!
from 4:56 to 5:25, pure brilliance
So many nuggets of wisdom for business owners and entrepreneurs in this one. Love this and thanks for posting, Max!
“He was ready to fight *me*... So I thought I thought I might take a *different* approach.” 😂 The timing on that joke was on a professional comic’s level lmao
So insulting to Nick, to all the people looking down at their phones, it doesn't matter who's speaking
Im from Monroe 😂
He is q mentor and football was his vehicle. Other coaches tried to fake and copy.
Excellent
Who’s here after his retirement announcement?🐐🐐🐐
👍🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
I remember watching this several years ago. I was really into listening to his speeches because Paul Finebaum had his team psychologist, Kevin Elko, on his show every week. Thanks for uploading.
If everyone could listen to a couple of his talks I believe it could really shape or change or both someone’s future! He makes me see changes I need to make within myself as a 49 yr old female and when I was too scared at 18 to go to nursing school because of gross anatomy. I WISH I COULD HAVE HEARD HIS ANALOGIES AS WELL AS THE WAY HE LIVES WHEN I WAS YOUNGER. I WOULD HAVE LOOKED AT EVERYTHING DIFFERENTLY OR I BELIEVE I WOULD HAVE. I know there have been great speakers before his time but in order to really hear them you must respect them and admire them for their accomplishments and the way they process information as well as the way they live. Do they just talk the talk or do they walk the walk? Obviously, I 💯 know he walks the walk and leads by example! I admire and respect every thing I know about Nick Saban. I admire and respect that he loves the good Lord and keeps that commitment to worship him on the Sabbath, I’m sure it’s throughout the week but I’m speaking about what I know and his prayers are private lol, how much he loves and respects Mrs.Terry, the fact he gives her all the credit for him having the success he has and that he admits missing time with his family when their kids were little but you know he’s always been a great dad, everything he does for others/charity work (Nick’s Kids), etc…the knowledge he has of football and the way he coaches, he’s freaking BRILLIANT! You’ll never hear him take any credit for being a great coach, it’s all about the team. I could go on and on for days. I was an Alabama fan before I was a Nick Saban fan but if he went to another team tomorrow I’ll still be the GA girl that’s always been a Bama fan but I’ll also be a Saban fan! He’s a phenomenal human being. The sacrifices he was willing to make when his Dad suddenly passed broke my heart. You just know he’s special! If you’re an unmotivated young man or woman or just undecided in life please go listen to the few documentaries on him and if it doesn’t motivate you to do something with your life I would probably seek professional help 😅! Even if you’re old like me, I’m almost 50 but it’s never too late to make a positive change. Will I need to listen to him many times as soon as morning… ABSOFREAKINGLUTELY but I’m going to listen every day until I can have the positive mindset on my own. Death may come before that but I’m going to try!! ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!! ❤❤❤❤
All the speeches I've ever heard him make has wanted me to be a better person. To me & the person that I am, that is a huge accomplishment. I've said it before & I'll say it again, I dearly wish I could have heard this man speak these speeches as a young teen. Idk if I would still be where I am today but I doubt it. And also, all the great football players that this man coached were truly blessed to have this man as their coach. Not because he was the best, but because he strived for perfection everyday no matter what happened yesterday.
@@kennethdeanmiller7324 I AGREE 100%! I wish we could make the younger generation see what we know now but I guess every generation says and wants that! I’m really going to miss Saban not because he’s the best but because of everything you and I see and hear.
I believe you’re the best over all and complete person and coach! Father Tony was our Pastor at All Saints in Dallas. He believes also! God bless and keep you always!
What’s sad is Rolando McClain went on to assault someone with a gun being involved once he was an NFL player. Lost his job, money, and respect. The thing is you can’t take the thug out of a thug. Who cares what someone calls you or says about you when you are worth 30 million dollars who cares ?!?!? Thugs care that’s who. What a waste of talent.
Love him or hate him. No denying he’s the best college football coach ever.
👍👍👍

Modern day slave master, no wonder he doesn’t refer to his players by name and only number..
Lol slave master help them to millions yup
Great job couch rtr
Proud auburn man and auburn graduate and I see coach saban in such high regard. I didn’t see this when I was at auburn due to blind team spirit, but I have immense respect for coach saban because he is a man of wisdom, integrity, and values.
As a Bama fan and graduate, I appreciate this comment! I've been so saddened since he retired.😥 No offense against Kalen DeBoer whatsoever, but Alabama football will never be the same without Saban..
You’re a good one, and l appreciate you.
@@tracycolvin7789Its the end of an era thats for sure.
Where are names 👀
I would take all of it then buy a house somewhere in a different country invest half with a Guarantee on intrest rate and disappear to live comfortably off the income from that intrest...the Bahamas Grand Cayman Islands or saint Croix. beach front property would be ideal... LMAO 😆
You gotta love learning from the greats!
Motivating your players is a matter of perspective there are some people that motivate and teach individuals how to deal with life's everyday problems and situations that motivate people better than you. Many leaders and talented professionals from all walks of life motivate people to face all types of stressful situations and challenges that are a part of everyone's lives and require attention and many of these motivational speakers are not football coaches. I have come in contact with many people in my life that were very good at motivating people. Getting back to Nick Saban he is a great coach and motivator, but I can think of a couple of football coaches that can also do the same things Bud Wilkenson's team was selected 6 times as a national champion in football Barry Switzer team was selected for 5 national championships, but those two coaches only claimed 3 national championships. They only claimed 3 that were unanimous or consensus unlike 2 coaches at Alabama Paul Bryan and Frank Thomas claim titles with only 2 or 3 or 1 selector Oklahoma and Nebraska both had back to back national titles. Nick Saban these are the facts you can go to Wikipedia to check and the problem I have with you id you could practice on your humility and how you handled Burton was pitiful we will be seeing you soon With Texas go Tennessee Boomer Sonner!!!
Coach Saban is a great leader and speaker!!!
i worked for a company that implemented a assembly line/team concept program after we had been doing our jobs individually commission based successfully for years. I hated it, it seamed to cater to a few on top. So i left and started my own gig and have never been happier. Some people need to work in teams and have people giving them orders and telling them what to do.That company is making more money now than ever with that team thing. It is a good way to weed out people who are not team players, they have lost several employees that were there for years. They now have yes men working there that do small parts of the process that before was done by an individual. I agree with Saban, and these principles work for freelancers/self employed people also. Not everyone likes being part of a team where there are favorites!
That was one podcast with four different guests. What are we doing bro
Does leadership require you to badger the referees when you are not getting your way? To get everthing reviewed because the referees are sissies and wouldnt go against Sabin? Or get multiple infractions overlooked in every game as the referees dont want to be called out by Sabin? Alabama is the dirtiest gangsterest team in College Football. Go back and look at every play at the Texas game and watch the facemask calls and more importantly the non calls. This is coached. They are not individual actions. Almost every single play hands are up around the helmet.... Its a dirty culture as they know for every time they do it that it will be missed or overlooked 70 % of the time. Analytics has a dirty side and Alabama is the King. Screw Sabin. This is a modern version of Gangster Miami.
Even though I’m a Florida Gators fan, I have to admit Nick Saban is the GOAT of all college football coaches. Fan of Nick Saban or not we all have to respect him
Agreed! Go Gators ! Chomp, Chomp!
Jesus does love you!
