What Are Signs Of Pride In A Person?
One of the root causes of problems in relationships and communication is pride. Pride is commonly associated with arrogance but also on the spectrum of pride is timidity. Another way to look for a sign of pride is investigating where you place your dependency when things get tough. Andrew Wommack in this Charis Minute unpacks some of the signs of pride in a person. This is an opportunity to learn and examine our own hearts. Listen to Andrew's teaching, take this one to prayer and ask God to use His Word as a mirror to help you see if there be any pride in your heart. This is a powerful teaching that can radically help to improve your relationships.

    Really how about people need to heal up. How about not repeating foolishness, by separating oneself from corrupt companionship. The word tells us what profit is there in it. If a relationship isn't profitable, move on. God hasn't called us to be raped in spirit by a rude overbearing tyrant. We seek peace. And one is the mouth, one the hands, one the feet. And how can the feet tell the hands how to do there job when they have no comprehension on how to do the job in the first place. Some are called to intercede without which nothing else works. It's OK to be quiet or shy. You just be who God calls you to be. Send Judah 1st and the battle will be won. Not blah blah blab. Don't let anyone lable your gifts or call u ineffective in the kingdom of God. We worship God in spirit and in truth. Let each person worship or serve God as is purposed in their own hearts. Not according to brother so and so.

      Brother Andrew may of had good intention, but this in it's entirety is incorrect if not scriptural. Yes we confess the lord of our life. Yet it is the spirit that gives us utterance to preach that which is profitable, and not based on the carnal mind.

      Hello, thank you for your question! Hebrews 11:6 says, "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who approaches Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him." So as we go about doing the Word, do it by faith! Faith in His grace to empower you to see the Word of God manifest results in your life. Faith in His Authority over all of heaven and earth, which he now delegates that full authority to those filled with His Spirit and walking by His Spirit. Another aspect of living a life pleasing to God is living a life of honouring God. 1 Samuel 2:30 says, “Those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.”

      Thanks for your comment on this video. Barry’s testimony of his healing is pretty amazing. If you search through TH-cam you will find a full version of his story, worth a watch! You've mentioned here, and in a different video's comments section, about Jesus having His favourites. In the teachings of Christianity, as reflected through Biblical scripture, it's understood that Jesus does not have "favourites" in the way humans often perceive favouritism. God shows no partiality or favouritism (Romans 2:11). In Jesus's ministry, He showed love and compassion to all people, regardless of their social status, race, or background. Jesus demonstrated His agape love by interacting with and healing the marginalized and sinners as well as the more respected members of society. His teachings emphasized that God’s agape love is available to all who believe in Him and follow His commandments. That said, Jesus does have deep relationships with individuals, as depicted in the Gospels with His disciples, particularly Peter, James, and John who were part of His inner circle and witnessed events others did not. Mary of Bethany also had things revealed to her that others missed due to her relationship with Jesus. In John 15 Jesus mentions He reveals things from His Father to the disciples who were listening because he now counted them as cherished friends more so than servants. This does not imply favouritism but rather a specific role or purpose that Jesus entrusted to certain individuals within His earthly ministry. Scripture also reveals the true nature of God as being good. God’s goodness is who He is, not just what He does. If God was known for just doing good, then one might perceive God to be selective with His goodness, but God is good because He is GOOD! Gaining a revelation about God as being good is an important part of getting to know who God is so we can have a relationship with Him based on His true nature. It’s hard to have a relationship with someone you misunderstand. The essential message is that in the eyes of God, we are all equally loved and valued. The opportunity to build a closer relationship with Jesus is open to anyone who seeks Him sincerely.

      "Jacob I loved, Esau I hated" what is God's word saying here?

    • @charisaustralia
      @charisaustralia 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@rickspalding3047 The statement "Jacob I loved, Esau I hated," found in Romans 9:13 and referencing Malachi 1:2-3, is a challenging expression that often raises questions about God's nature and His way of dealing with humanity. Jacob and Esau were alive during the time period we call the Old Testament, and so it pre-dates the birth of Jesus and the ushering in of the New Covenant. This statement, "Jacob I loved, Esau I hated," is not about emotional feelings of love and hate as we typically understand, but rather about God's choice and covenant. In this context, "love" signifies God's choice to extend His grace and covenant promises to Jacob (whose name was later changed to Israel and who became the father of the Israelite nation). Conversely, "hated" signifies not being chosen for that particular covenant relationship and the blessings associated with it. God was stewarding the family lineage towards the coming of Jesus the Messiah, and in the case of Jacob and Esau, Jacob was the one chosen to carry on that line.

      Hello, thank you for your comment and question. We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing such distress in your life. It can indeed be challenging to perceive or feel God's love during times when everything seems to be falling apart. God's ways and His manifestations of love can sometimes feel enigmatic and may not always align with our human understanding or expectations of what love should look like. While the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross is the pinnacle of God's love towards us-offering redemption and a path to eternal life-His love does not stop there. In Scripture, God's love is described as steadfast and enduring. In Romans 8:35-39, Paul speaks about the love of God being so profound that nothing can separate us from it. This passage assures us that neither hardships, distress, nor any other creation can detach us from the love of God that is revealed in Jesus Christ our Lord. The feeling of God's love can sometimes be overshadowed by our current situations, making it difficult to acknowledge or accept it. The 'misery' or 'pain' you mentioned, have a source, and that source is indeed not God or His love for you causing those things. Hard times can sometimes lead us to harden our hearts to God because we think He should have done more to keep bad things from happening. We are not saying that is your situation, but just mentioning it to encourage you to not come to a place of staying offended at God. Bad things happen as a result of sin in the world, and God never promises that bad things will never happen to you. He does promise that His love for you will never change. God's love is can also be experienced through His continual presence and support in other forms-whether it's through the comforting words of a friend, an unexpected help during tough times, or even the inner strength He provides you to face each day. Being part of a Christian community who are following the ways of Jesus, can help us see and experience God's love through others. We understand that these words might not change your circumstances immediately, but perhaps there could be solace in the promise that God is with you in your pain and He is for you, not against you. It's okay to express your feelings of frustration or confusion to God-He welcomes us to approach Him with honesty and open hearts.

    I went to a very legalistic Bible college. People were faking all the time. I saw people walking through campus reading the Bible so people could see them reading the Bible. Some had accidents because they didn't pay attention where they were walking. They learn all the ways to fake "super Christian". Only God know about the intimacy with have with Him. Another thing is how to you measure intimacy. Do we have a intimiciamometro? No. We invent the way we think God should think. To measure intimacy with God is something fake, theorical without any confirmation. We imagine whatever we want to imagine. Religion creates those standards so people can fake. Only God really knows.

    • @charisaustralia
      @charisaustralia หลายเดือนก่อน

      It sounds like you've encountered quite a challenging situation at your Bible college. It's unfortunate when spiritual disciplines, like reading the Bible, are used more as a display rather than for personal edification and genuine growth in faith. You’re identifying a pervasive issue that can occur in any religious setting: the external performance of piety without an inward transformation. In Christianity, the relationship with God is indeed a deeply personal one and isn't something that can be genuinely measured by external appearances alone. Jesus spoke out against this kind of hypocrisy in Matthew 6:5-6, where He taught about praying in private rather than making a show of it for public approval. Intimacy with God is fostered through personal and honest communication with Him, reflecting on His word, and allowing the Holy Spirit to work within us to transform us into the image of Christ. It’s not about a set of external actions but about a heart that seeks God sincerely. Should we acknowledge God in the big and small of our day, we give opportunity for the relationship to deepen and become more vibrant. Carrie Pickett is not addressing how to measure intimacy with God, but rather how do we have it. There isn't a "meter" or standard measure for intimacy with God, as it’s a dynamic and personal relationship. In John 15, Jesus encourages us to abide that we would bear much fruit. So seeing the fruit of the Spirit on people’s lives, and seeing people operating in the more excellent way, which is love (See 1 Corinthians 12:31 to 13:13) can give us a sense that people are spending time with Jesus. People might try to fake and perform the characteristics of Christ but eventually, that will be seen for what it is over time. It’s critical to remember that our identity and growth in Christ are anchored in His grace and not in our ability to perform or conform to external standards. Perhaps exploring teachings that focus on developing an authentic relationship with God could be beneficial to you. Andrew Wommack’s teachings often address the importance of knowing God personally and understanding our identity in Christ, which might provide more perspective and encouragement in cultivating genuine intimacy with God without falling into the trap of legalism and performance. Would you like to receive some more tips on how to deepen your relationship with God?

    I heard this guy say that he got the most important "revelation from God" when he was in Vietnam. The revelation was that once you give your life to Jesus, the Father only sees you just like Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 7:1 states: [1] Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let’s cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. So this dude is saying that after your lip service of profession of faith, God cannot see defilement of the flesh and of the spirit and that you do not have cleanse your selves of these things? ‭Romans 6:18-19, 22 NASB2020‬ [18] and AFTER BEING FREED FROM SIN, you became slaves to righteousness. [19] I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented the parts of your body as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your body’s parts as slaves to righteousness, resulting in sanctification. [22] But now having been freed from sin and enslaved to God, you derive your benefit, resulting in sanctification, and the outcome, eternal life. When do you become a servant of righteousness? The Bibile says AFTER YOU HAVE BEEN FREED FROM SIN. How freed from sin? Well if the Son sets you free you are free indeed. Not name-it-claim-it, but in reality. And can you, like a dog, return to your vomit? Well, I guess the question is, IF you return to your vomit have you LOST YOUR SANCTIFICATION? Being charismatic is OK. But you'd better know the Word of God inside and out, if you are a charismatic. And your probably much better off seeking God in prayer and Bible study. I am talking about your ETERNAL SOUL.

    I think two of the most important scriptures to analyze are Romans 5:15 and 5:17. (1) Romans 5:15b - "If the many died through the transgression of the one man, how much more did the GRACE OF GOD & THE GIFT BY THE GRACE OF THE ONE MAN, Jesus Christ, MULTIPLY to the many!" (2) Romans 5:17 - "How much more will those who RECEIVE the ABUNDANCE OF GRACE and of THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS reign in life through the ONE, Jesus Christ!" The GRACE OF GOD (5:15b) = The ABUNDANCE OF GRACE (5:17) THE GIFT BY THE GRACE OF...Jesus Christ (5:15b) = THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS (5:17) These two verses are synonymous. By faith, every Christian can lay hold of • OR • "RECEIVE" THE ABUNDANCE OF GRACE that Jesus walked in as a man and through that GRACE is able to 'walk in' and 'abide in Christ', which results in real, 'boots-on-the-ground' righteousness through the power of the Holy Spirit. Ie. ALL of the grace that was upon Christ in His humanity was multiplied and then distributed (like the loaves and fishes miracle) to the many that RECEIVED it, by faith. (And because our walk is only a portion of the entire expectations upon the entire body of Christ, and does not require the same walk that faced Christ Jesus in either difficulty or obstacles, this received grace that was upon Jesus as a mortal man is more than sufficient for us). Psalm 24:4,5 Psalm 24:4 • The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to deceit and has not sworn deceitfully. Psalm 24:5 • He will RECEIVE blessing from the LORD and * RIGHTEOUSNESS * from the God of his salvation. (note: the word received is indicative of a GIFT from God, and in this case it is NOT an IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS which is received. It is RIGHTEOUSNESS which is received. * THE PROBLEM * The double-minded, the impure of heart or the divided in heart cannot RECEIVE ANYTHING from God, James 1:7,8. The double-minded CANNOT RECEIVE (1) the mind of Christ, (2) the grace of God, (3) God's wisdom, (4) nor repentance, (5) nor purity of heart, (6) nor holiness, (7) nor salvation, (8) nor * RIGHTEOUSNESS *, nor ANY "good and perfect gift that comes down from the Father of heavenly lights, James 1:5, 16, 17. Those who RECEIVE the ABUNDANCE of GRACE & of the gift of RIGHTEOUSNESS => WILL / SHALL REIGN IN LIFE through the ONE, Jesus Christ, Romans 5:17. Now, in Romans 6, death reigning in sin is ALWAYS DIRECTLY JUXTAPOSED against the ZOE life of God reigning in & through grace. Therefore, if death has free reign in your life, you do not have in your possession the enabling grace of God by way of FAITH (which is why Romans 2:5-11 makes perfect sense - if you have "faith" in an imputed righteousness alone, these seven verses are a total mystery). If you sow to the flesh, you will reap corruption (eternal damnation). Why? Because it is by faith that you reckon crucified "the body of (this) death", "the body of flesh", "the body of sin", and "the old man" (Romans 6 & 7). And it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6), as you (1) must believe that He is and (2) that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (note: it is impossible for someone who has not 'crucifed the flesh' to diligently seek God (as the mind after the flesh, can not diligently seek God), Romans 8:8 states that "those who are IN THE FLESH cannot please God". This means that those who live in line with the flesh, 8:5, do not have any faith whatsoever and find themselves impossible to please God in any way (contrast to Hebrews 11:6). So my questions are: (1) "Can a Christian start out by the Spirit and end up in the flesh?" (2) If you find yourself in a state where you can in no way please God, and die in that state, do you think that this person went to heaven?

    What does "under the mighty hand of God" look like?

    • @charisaustralia
      @charisaustralia 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the question! It's about trusting in God’s timing and wisdom over our own, and it's a posture of the heart that is willing to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7) In practical terms, living "under the mighty hand of God" involves acknowledging our need for God in all aspects of our life and aligning our desires and actions according to His will. It's a commitment to follow His lead and to rely on His strength rather than our own. Spending some time of every day in relationship with God, in the Word and asking God to show you revelation from His Word for you each day is a way you can walk out this commitment.

    I am grateful to say that I am a born again Christian and have been since I was 19.......folks if you don’t know Christ as your savior then it burdens my soul to think that you are headed for a terrible place called Hell where the Bible says the fire is never quenched and the worm dies not! Folks you are not promised tomorrow! If you want to know how to be saved from this horrible reality then please by all means don’t hesitate to comment right back so I can lead you to the savior! 2 Corinthians 6:2 clearly states “now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation!” And Hebrews 3:15 clearly states, “Today if you hear his voice don’t harden your hearts! It is not me but the Holy Spirit that I pray reveals to you the truth of his precious gospel......John 3:16 says for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever believes on him will not perish but have everlasting life! V 17 says then V 18 says whoever believes on the son is not condemned but whoever does not believe on the son is condemned already because he has not believed on the son whom God has sent! Also Acts 16:30-31 what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house I am not threatening anyone but just warning them what will happen if they reject this precious gift of eternal life! Christ died a horrible criminals death! He was beaten brutally mocked spit upon and endured countless hours of torture pain for all of our sins! Ppl go to hell because they reject that pardon for their sins! And Jesus is saying to them in Matthew 25:41 depart from me you cursed into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels! Hell was only prepared for Satan and his angels! It is not God who threatens anyone it is the craziness of rejecting the free pardon of salvation! It’s like if you’re in court you’ve committed a crime say you murdered someone! Now if you say to that Judge hey I know I’ve done a terrible thing of murdering that person but I hear you’re a good judge and so I know you’ll be fair to me...... the judge is going to reply well yes you’re right about one thing I am a good judge and because I’m a good judge I’m going to see to it that you’re punished and that justice is served! Well then all of a sudden someone you don’t even know comes forward and says you know what I know he’s committed the crime he’s committed and he deserves to go to jail but I really don’t want to see him go to prison so I’ll just go to prison for him so he can go free! So if you accepted that offer you’d be free to leave the courtroom but if you didn’t well you’d be crazy and go to prison yourself! Well that’s exactly how it was 2,000 years ago! He is God in human flesh and he came to this earth lived a perfect sinless life and even though he knew that we had sinned and because of our sins deserved to die miserably but he said no I don’t want to see them suffer so I will go and take their punishment for them! Even though he did absolutely nothing wrong still he chose to take the punishment for our sins so we can be set free from the power bondages and consequences of our disobedience to God! Romans 5:8 says For God commends his love toward us that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us! 1 John 2:2 says he was made to be the propitiation for our sins! And not just for our sins but the sins of the whole world! 2 Corinthians 5:21 He who knew no sin became Sin for us that we would be made his righteousness! The truth is if you had to get to Heaven by your own effort then you cannot do it! Because Romans 3:10 says there is not one that does good! No Not One! Romans 3:23 says For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God! Romans 6:23 says For the wages of sin is death! But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our lord! But the good news is Romans 10:9 If we confess with our mouth and believes in our hearts that Christ died for our sins then was raised from the dead we will be saved! V 10 For it’s with the heart we believe and it’s with the mouth confession is made unto salvation! God gave us 10 commandments to follow and we’ve broken every one of them! And because God is a good God he cannot allow our disobedience to him to go unpunished! Well then like I just mentioned above his son Jesus stepped forward and said no I don’t want to see them punished so I will take their punishment for them! And also like I said he died a terrible substitute criminal’s death for us on a cross so now all we have to do is accept that payment for our sins and we can escape the terrible wrath of God that is to fall on them who do not accept this atonement that was sacrificed for our sins! Praise the lord Romans 10:13 says Whoever calls on the name of the lord shall be saved! And 1 Peter 1:4 you’re an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you! Christ clearly said in John 14:6 I am the way the truth and the life and no one comes to the father but through me! Acts 4:12 clearly states that there is no other name given unto Heaven or earth by which we must be saved as there is salvation in no other! Jesus clearly states that there is clearly only one way to Salvation and it’s him that’s it! There is no other way! God Bless everyone who reads!

    So what are the exact, tangible steps a person has to take to create intimacy with God? The breakdown of the actual steps a person has to take?

    • @goldenlife7125

      There’s no formula but here are some practical ways (non-exhaustive) to create intimacy with God. Spend time with Him by reading The Word, fellowship with Him, devote time to prayer. Talk to Him and let Him speak to You back

    • @messenger8854

      We create intimacy in our relationships with people by spending time with, getting to know them, their character, likes, dislikes, etc. So begin seeking God through prayer requesting more intimacy with Him. Prayer builds intimacy because it's fundamentally communication with God. God also communicates mostly with us through His Word and so, through studying the Word, it will come to life, you will see that its no ordinary book because it talks back because God's Word is ultimately himself. There are other ways like journaling, fellowship with believers, serving,all these things build intimacy as long as you are allowing God to lead you. Your spiritual senses will heightened and you will sense that God may want you to fast, to pray for something specific, serve in a particular area, study a particular topic. The avenues are endless, but God must direct them, and intimacy builds from there. Hope this helps. Just to make it practical, sometimes, I even watch a good movie with God at times, and I literally talk to him about the plot or what I'm learning, etc. It truly is friendship

      If this person is muslim, he or she thinks the word 'intimacy' is referring to a physical sexual relationship. To them life is about the canal. That's why they believe their heaven rewards are about sex. Forgive them and pray for them that they come to the light.
