Tokyo '64!
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 17 พ.ค. 2007
October 1964 is one of the greatest moments in modern Japanese history! Two world wide events that showcased Japan’s hospitality during the Tokyo Olympics and the launching of the world’s first high speed rail, the Shinkansen, opened up Japan to the world!
This all happened amazingly in just 19 short years after Japan was devastated and mired in mostly ruined cities after the Second World War. This is something no other society has ever done!
1964 is the breakout year to where the real Japan, a peace loving nation was finally able to emerge.
So this is why I call this channel “Tokyo ‘64”. All you need to see and know about the Japan I know and love and the many places very few have gone.

Rainy Day in Takada, Joetsu City!

Doing a rainy day walk after a cool down here along the market street in Joetsu City’s Takada district. Joetsu City is a beautiful city on the Sea of Japan that very few have been to. But during our world famous Sakura festival our city comes alive with people from all over the world. On off festival days, Takada is a wonderful place to just stroll and relax with many historical shops and resta...

I am talking to you from the Shibuya scramble where I did my first ever TH-cam video 17 years ago. Shibuya wasn’t as busy then as it is now at all hours of the night. There is a place here that wasn’t there before called Miyashita Park. It’s a cool place to hang out with plenty of eye candy too.
Marunouchi to Ginza Walk!
มุมมอง 298หลายเดือนก่อน
I started at the beautiful Kitte Shopping center in Marunouchi. It’s just a short walk to Ginza from Marunouchi. But the scenery along the way is a beautiful mixture of urban and green along the way. I chose the music for the opening video because I love Tokyo so much. I felt it through my heart and soul as this was playing. You don’t know how to appreciate the urban sense of Tokyo until you li...

Kasugayama castle was the home to one of the greatest daimyos in history, Uesugi Kenshin. The castle was built over 500 years ago. The castle is gone by the site still remains and it is a beautiful place to come for events and relaxation. You can also hike this beautiful area too.

Awesome views! The water looks good enough to swim in. And Japanese announcers on transportation/rides are always funny, lol // They are always so dry and calm, but can talk endlessly.
wow so happy I found this channel
It's a beautiful video! I am a Korean creator! Let's follow together!
I'm trying to decide whether to visit Hokkaido in the winter or spring. I know that people go there in the summer to get away from the hear, but I'm not too bothered by heat. Now, of course, if i was living there long term I would go there in the summer. But I'm thinking if I go to Hokkaido in the spring or winter... Which one is better? Please let me know your thoughts. And great video!!
Thanks Chris and thanks for the view on my BSP Japan channel. The winters are harsh in Hokkaido and many of the northern prefectures including Niigata where we live. But in Japan they know how to navigate the seasons very well so any season in Hokkaido is fine. The snow festival in Sapporo is a must see. I haven’t been yet but I’m going to put together a trip to go for sure.
@@TOKYO64DOTCOM Thanks for the info! Looking forward to some footage! I would love to experience Hokkaido in the winter. It seems like a winter wonderland.
There’s something special about japan in the rain

Tokyo is so beautiful
Great video
That was my one of my favorite spots out there last fall, one of my favorite food spots was in Higashi-ginza, used to take the A line down from Asakusa then eat, walk around then head to another part of the city.
my mentor is styling in japan as all educated brothers should
Thanks brother. I’m just trying to represent my brothers and my ancestors.
Love this vid brother plus the music
I thought this tune was good for Japan.
I like that the station is a place of reunion and sightseeing. Everybody can enjoy it even if they are not going to travel
It's looking real nice and peaceful! Way less people than 東京, Next time I gotta get out to Kansai area
There are a lot of tourists here too. I just came out earlier.
Haha the Japanese guy asked where you from..great energy!
Yeah I waved at his group as I was passing by. Everyone smiled and he asked me where I was from.
@@TOKYO64DOTCOM Good stuff! Loving the vlogs, brother Tony! Stay well!
Lovely interesting walk, thanks.
And safe, women walking the dark streets without a worry in the world!
None. No stinking homeless in the way and no mass shootings.
It seems so peaceful 😊
Nice Brother keep the videos rolling ❤
Thanks brother. I’m glad you have my stations up.
Interesting video.
I love trams!...thank you very much for sharing this video. By the way.... I wonder if any of the Toyama train lines will ever be extended to serve Noto and Suzu.
Yes. They are a very good way to get around the city. As for extending the service to Noto and Suzu. I don’t think that is going to happen as those are located in a different prefecture. Also as of 2005 Suzu has not had any railway service.
I fucking love transit
