Interfering in our 2016 presidential election was one attempt. We have 800 military bases around the world, even after closing many. We have Pacific and Atlantic blue water navies, neither China Nor Russia have navies of any size. You might want to check out the video on whether the USA could take on the whole world. The United States government will not engage in mass genocide, unlike the mongols, Huns, and Romans.
