Boxing (Pad Work)
Increasing punch output with more than 2 punches so that the opponent doesn’t have time to return with a counter. A good offense is a good defense, be first.
Boxing 1-2-1
Always end a combo exiting out with a jab. More than likely your opponent will walk into the jab trying to return a combo or punch.
Jab Drill to strengthen the lead hand
Use the jab to dictate the fight. Don’t just walk straight in and don’t throw a jab and stand there. There is always something coming back. Jab then move hence hit and don’t get hit.
Boxing Outside Work
Working on the outside and then shelling up on the inside staying defensive until he can’t get back to the outside.
Boxing Jab to establish range

Boxing Spar for conditioning
Trying to get my fighter to use his long range. He didn’t get it so we will continue to teach until he has had enough blunt force trauma.
Boxing (Give and Take)
“Give and Take” Give- offensively throwing punches Take- Defensively staying at range but also stepping back with a jab, step back hook, or step back right hand. This creates space for the outside fighter ensuring he does not crowd his punches.
Boxing Bolo Punch
Shortened up the movement of the Bolo Punch to the solar plexus to hide the elaborated movement.
Boxing controlled Sparring
Pushing the cardio limits of my student using safe controlled sparring. 1-3 head and anything body shots. Eliminating straight rights until further experience gives a fighter a good sense of confidence without suffering further damage. Live to fight another day. Soon we will incorporate all punches except uppercuts. Uppercuts should be used in a competition and only trained to keep both active ...

      This was about 10 years ago or more when I made this vid before I went pro.Back then I was working a triple G short overhand right to the body. This punch does work and yes my hand was really low. I wasn’t worried back then as none of my amateur opponents gave me much to worry about when I was on the inside limiting there range of punch.

    Needs to turn that wrist over a bit more on his straight punches. Make him step back a bit too. Hes got the reach, make sure he uses it! Other than that looks good and everything is tight. Keeping that guard up firm on pucnhes which is great.

My main focus is helping others as I don’t compete anymore. I am training a fighter who is autistic and he is amazing. This kid can now fight 5 styles and 5 defenses. More to follow. Thank you for watching and thank you for critiquing my boxing from 2009 in my ammy days.

    • @OnePunchKnockout7

      That was all body attacks. Im not sure if you have ever competed or not but going to the body you cant fully turn over your punches because you will compromise your defense. When I throw to the body I try to hurry and get back to my defense. Also keep in mind I made this video years ago and my punches are a lot harder, crisper, and better movement.

Shape of you as well. You just aren't at your natural weight? I couldn't box now at the weight I am. Might win a few charity events, but what is the point in that. I remember turning up at my old gym at 154lbs and my coach told me I was fat and I went home and cried. Didn't go back to a boxing gym for 3 years. Till I was in shape.

    Sometimes you have to be humble with a defeat. This is what makes you great. You can’t win them all but learn from your mistakes and go back to the drawing board. After this loss I won state, studied boxing for a few years later until I went pro. In this video I did not have enough knowledge and experience. Stay persistent and focus on the things you are not great at. I was so focused on my power I did not execute game plan and come In with head movement and the jab. Learn from my mistakes. Everything starts with the jab. #Beunpredictable

    Nice work guys. Sometimes I spar in my back yard and it seems much harder and more tiring without a ring because you can't really corner your opponent.

    • @OnePunchKnockout7

      Only problem with that for competitive Boxing you would need to get the feel of canvas with boxing or wrestling shoes. Sometimes there are logos that can be slippery. I would say for back yard sparring to walk the area, find the bad spots, look for where the sun is shinning in your opponents eyes and put them in that position. Use your foot work by circling away from there dominant hand until they are exactly where you want them to be. Don’t chase them by rushing in. Stalk them moving left and right cutting off there limitations to escape your trap. Move forward with straight punches. If they try to escape throw a hook to the side they are trying to exit out. Try it out and let me know how it works the next time you spar.

      @@OnePunchKnockout7 it’s funny you mentioned slipping. I had my first light mma sparring session this week. I kept using my front kick to keep distance. But my foot would get sweat on it from his shirt and when I would bring my foot back to plant I would slip right after the kick. It’s crazy the small little details of fighting you have no clue about until you do it.

    • @OnePunchKnockout7

      @@keltonsanders try turning your foot out slightly and not north/south. If you are using your lead foot as a teep or push kick to keep distance for example if it is your left foot point your big toe to 11 o’clock. I taught this in the military. I would aim for the upper thigh for more control. Don’t forget to chop the legs in and outside to mix up your attack.

      Low kicks are always a safe bet. Anything above the waist has room for a counter. Low leg kicks, calve cuts, and teeps are what I taught in the military for a combat scenario. This also relays into competition as well. Hope this was helpful.

    nice video! my problem with looking at these drills is it looks (and feels) like you are really cutting the range of your shots. So is it really faster if it's just shorter?
