Amazing. We had a leaky roof for a while we couldn’t repair, so my life for the foreseeable future is drywall. Spouse and I battled trying to do by hand. Thought of renting from the Home Despot but this was cheaper long run. Now if I can’t find another job, maybe I can become a sheet rocker. (Which sounds so much cooler than it is in reality)
Good luck with the repairs! A good 6" and 10" knife will do a lot for you. Practice makes perfect, dont try to go to thick with your coats of mud and dont mess with it too much, get it looking good and keep moving. Always easier to come back for a extra coat at the end than it is to have to do excessive sanding to remove build up.
Had mine fit just 1 drywall job . Stopped working. 3amp and 5 amp batteries dead no light and yes batteries are charge full and work on all other brushless. Never had problems . LED light dies not work . Checked power from battery holder to capacitor dead. I really hope this is not an issue . For others
You should reach out to Makita, sounds like a warranty claim for sure. Mine has been a beast for years now. Good Luck
Thanks to your review i just made my purchase, for a very fair price tag of £33 (uk)
What did we learn here ? How to unbox it. Next time after you unbox it , actually install it and use it for a month before you post a video.
Rented a drywall lift just long enough to place a tricky drywall sheet in my mom's ceiling. I had prepared the rain-damaged area the day before & was able to completely remove a previous 4x8 sheet, revealing the surrounding sheet's edges. The sheet to be replaced ran about 5"x12" under a cabinet's top edge. It was very hard to get the sheet in place due to the cabinet & a nearby light fixture. I got the sheet close and installed enough temporary screws to hold the sheet ALMOST flush to the joists while I ran to the next town to return the lift because the rental time was expiring. When I returned to install the final screws and completely seat the sheet, the opening was about 1/8" too tight. I'm working alone and don't think I can remove the sheet & install it after sanding or rasping the edge down without a lift. Is there any way to accomplish this without completely removing the sheet? I assumed the opening was perfect for a 4' width. Bad move, I know.
Hey @TortureBot . You should be able to take a utility knife and cut off the edge that is giving you trouble. maybe loosen a few screws on that side just a bit so it isn't pinching the existing sheet too much. just keep cutting multiple passes with firm pressure until the knife cuts all the way through and you have the clearance you need. Dont worry about it being a perfect joint either, if it look a little rough after this, once taped, coated and sanded you will never know and it wont affect the integrity of the repair! Good luck
Thank you for the advice. Another person who answered the same question I commented on a different video said to use either a Dremel tool or something similar to get that result like you're talking about.
if you use these types with the wires everyday....check the wire once in a while....
Bought is today on Amazon for 30 €
good set up....parts lists for the attachment bracket?........or what parts are necessary ?.......
I've been watching every video I can find on making my own custom miter saw wings for my Kapex. This is one of the best I've seen
FWIW From the shop manual (this generation, 1500 series): Stabilizer Shaft Link Nut Tighten: 23 N.m (17 lb ft)
Complete and logical - a well executed video. Thanks!
Concise and well presented tutorial without any fluff, or distracting music playing. Excellent job, thank you!
Thanks for this review! I've been looking at getting one of these for some jobs I have at home. This is super helpful.
Not bad for the price. It will do the job
Hi, thanks for posting! Just want to ask if it is possible to hold and lock the panel position in different angles, or is it just in 2 positions (semi-vertical and horizontal)? Thanks!
Awesome Machine....
You said you were going to make more cool videos and review a bunch of tools, then you quit. What happened?
Every the ad says it is!
thankyou for the assembly vid,I just bought one and looks pretty easy throw together now
thank you for your great job man
Excellent video. Simple, informative and good demo. That is incredibly fast putting those screws into the Advantech. Thanks very much.
Pretty much the same all the way up to the 19
You’re the only review that clearly demo’d the auto on activation. Nice job
How are they holding up 5 years later?
7 year mark not and still holding strong
harbor freight stuff sucks
Just bought it $90 bucks used on facebook marketplace
Can this hoist hold the sheet for wall? Or just ceiling
Both ceilings and walls
Did you not look at the instructions or even the picture on the box? You never extended the crank arm into proper position. When you had the panel on the lift, you were fighting with the crank under the panel because you didn't extend the crank arm.
Nice work
You can get XLC01ZB in the states, which is similar. You want the cyclonic attachment for it. Great vacuum!
what does the cyclonic attacment do?
@@TheFbiFilesRepeat separates the bigger and/or heavier stuff while the finer dust goes into the main compartment
Rehabbing an apt. I gutted, bought this (I'm 67) and love it. I call it "Pedro", just in fun! Now I know what that hook thingie is for. Oh, for the sheet above a tub, you can unlatch the leg spread and get the mast pretty close to it, then shift the sheet over when you get it up. A little tricky, but better than a sprain. My mast won't go into the leg base so easy; has to be perfectly in line. I lower the empty cradle with one hand on the wheel so it doesn't slam down. Not afraid to take on any rock job now; ceilings were my limit. The real fun is the finishing though, where I can shine!
I did not know how to use this at all. thank you. Great Video. 👍👍👍
Thanks! This helped with my decision. Going to get the DCL182 version.
I borrowed my neighbors and have never used one. You did a great job instructing the proper use and assembly.
So, Ordered same model no from Amazon. $8.95 each. Arrived the next day. They are made in CHINA. Called Moog he said the nut should be a mechanical locking nut, mine are not! They spin all the way up the bolt and back off all the way with ease. I used Locktite on the threads. Moog customer service also said 110 foot pounds of torque, I just went to 3 threads exposed. Great video. I used a saw to cut the old bolts as well.
you took care of those ''lines'' pretty good
very cool, thanks for the video
Great video. Doing a basement remodel now, and a friend lent me this same tool. Thanks!
Appreciated your unboxing and demo. Clear and concise. Made purchasing vs renting from HD an easy choice. Thanks for taking the time!
if one looks around like a moron when cutting a bloody block of wood using power tool, he deserves his finger cut off. its a basic darvin's evolution theory. If Bosch got it perfect and had 0 misfires, maybe it would be ok, but nearly every other review for the tool talks about constant misfires because of stupid stuff like glue or moisture levels. they probably make more ripping people off on those misfires then on sales of the tool.
Great video. Just scored a brand new one on craigslist for $100.
How are these 5 years later. I just ordered the same ones and they made in china now
Curious if someone can tell me... How stable is this at a height of about 8 feet? I have an odd task not related to drywall, but involved lifting some large speakers off the ground at about 8-9 feet for photographs and I’m thinking this item could be used to act as a large platform to set the speakers on and lift them. I just have concerns that the items standing on the platform could fall off as this item appears to be a bit unstable. If so, I’ll have to come up with other options.
Do you know what that key is used for?
That crank week pulls out farther
Simple physics tells us that If the blade isn’t taking the impact of the sudden stop, then the machine itself is taking that abuse. So I surmise that the reason this saw is not out on the marketplace is one of two reasons: First the inventor of the superior SawStop technology is a patent lawyer who has successfully patented the “flesh-sensing technology” and is being protected by his over 100 patents on this technology. So it’s plausible that Bosch has a cease-and-desist order in place from SawStop. Secondly, since the blade itself is not absorbing the sudden stop, then the transfer of kinetic energy has to be going into the saw itself, and probably causing irreparable damage and probably catastrophic and extremely dangerous component failure which is why, three years after this video, we still don’t see this product on the marketplace.
