Here in 2024 just acquired 1080P versions of the series and loving the quality and detail of the origional. Thanks for the post I'm guessing a lot has changed since 2007. I remember seeing the origional series in 1968 on a B/W 22" TV (at the tender age of 17-happy Days). It would be nice to know if Generation Z pickup on it and enjoy as much as Boomers have.

2:42 the shot of the city matches perfectly with that bit of music. crazy to see how much it’s developed since. All the empty space around the buildings now gone.

The last movie I watched at that Odeon was The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. Pretty sure the foyer had two staircases, one on either side, at that time.

Mm do internet search:"prisoner+unmutual". This website is now prob the foremost re data on this hugely influential and mega cult late 1960s TV show. It also has info on the regular FREE location tours (2 pa in central London and occ ones in Elstree +Borehamwood). The latter, just north of London and UKs Hollywood, is where most of the series was filmed. The NW Wales wonderful village of Portmeirion was actually only used in 2 " shoots". ...BCNU..
