To answer anyone's question who wants the short of it: do NOT buy the bundle HOPING to pull a profit If you like the idea and can actually afford it Go right ahead for enjoyment's sake I went into it hoping to make some profit, and I was LUCKY to make $140 from this bundle (which cost me just under $120 at my LGS😅😅)

An LGS near my work sells them for $80. Totally reasonable price. The LGS near my home sells them for $116. Totally not reasonable imo

ya i had to turn it off it didnt seem productive. his initial response i gelled with. i was also angry. he is entitled to be angry. the RC started the issue. an it became conflated with threats, issue b. not the same thing. blame is due where blame is due.

When you find yourself in charge of the rules for a hobby filled with dysfunctional f*cks, and you're not getting paid, and your family is a soft target... it's time to get the hell out. Wanna bet none of them look back? I've seen toxic fans ruin a perfectly good hobby before, in the mid1990's. It only takes a few bad apples. "OH, go to your authorities". City boy, put a sock in it. The RC has done literally NOTHING to justify it's own existence at this point. The last time something was banned in commander was 4 years ago. Problems with the format were ignored for a LONG time, and rule zero was used as a crutch for never having to do anything. The amount of problems with commander have ballooned to such a degree that a lot of cards will need to be banned to actually give the format some kind of direction.

Oh my gosh. Finally. I thought i was the only one who realized that it wss just an excuse. They obviously have already decided to pass leadership or were incentivised, otherwisr, there were BETTER options.

Local card shops got hosed by this decision, and I sincerely feel bad for any shop that was significantly harmed. That being said, if you as an individual bought Jeweled Lotuses (or any other card) for any purposes other than to play the card in your deck, you are a moron and deserve the financial loss. I sleep a little better at night knowing that people who treat MTG cards like stocks were hurt by this ban.

Excellent points. especially about the claims of death threats by the RC. It really irks me when people do something nasty that pisses alot of people off then runs and behave like the victim claiming death threats with no evidence of them actually existing and then blanket painting everyone who was critical of their actions that caused the outrage as a nutjob who is issuing death threats to them when anyone if any who made the death threats is probably a very tiny fringe minority. Also what kind of death threats were issued to them? Is it like those horror movie style ones that are actually rather scary where they send pictures of them in a private setting or is the death threat like one of those playground arguments where a kid who is angry at another yells at the other person that "i hope you die" kind of death threat? While i definitely do not condone death threats, Both examples could technically be considered death threats but one would be substantially more scary and serious than the other.

The RC was radio silent for years and then come back and ban hundreds of dollars out of peoples collections with no warning? And now they turn around and go ohhhh ooooooohhhj woah is me strangers on the internet were mean to me!
