Heifetz imitation
มุมมอง 347K17 ปีที่แล้ว
Heifetz explains how not to play Vieuxtemps’ 4th Violin Concerto.
they who laugh, don‘t understand that he’s mimicking them. 😂
Was he playing a Fagnola violin?
This should be the Falmouth Stradivarius
This is the time when Heifetz deserves a dislike bar.
Bro still can't hide his excellent technique!
Prime Kavakos!
This is the first movement, "Obsession" (just the title of the movement, not of the whole sonata)
Molti violinisti nemmeno così arriveranno a suonarlo ...
Wow jeez, I have recently been obsessed with Ysaye listening to many different artists. I have never heard this movement played like this, even Hahn. So musical and powerful, I can't even find words to describe it. I really thought at some point he would break a string or the violin would fall apart. I first heard him in a TwoSet video playing the Paganini 5th with such speed it was inhuman. He is one of the most unknown great violinists we have and I am happy to see he has a channel. Would love for some record label to give him a contract, all the Ysaye sonatas and all the Bach would be nice.
He has recorded both Ysaye (in 1999) and Bach (in 2022), and he is currently under contract with Sony. Also, I wouldn't call him "unknown" :p
Nobody plays Ysaye that level!!
He's too marvelous for words!
Hello, where's 2nd mvt?
Spectacular performer!
fack
Как будто посмотрела немое кино с. Чарли. Чаплиным! Музыканты улыбаются.😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇
My 16th runs be like:
It's things like these that obliterate my self-esteem ;-; paganini reincarnated istg
The orchestra could've played better by being more in sync with one another.
LMAO
If anyone doesn’t know, the piece is Mozart violin concerto 3
オーマイガー!!
How he can hold his emotionless face is beyond me
Buster Keaton on the violin
Imagine being that student auditioning and seeing this youtube video all these years later and knowing that Heifetz secretely roasted you to everyone.
This is actually quite normal. Rare, but normal. Everything normal, especially if accidental should not be criticized; that is the matter of proper education, basic intelligence and good manners.
Who is criticizing, exactly?
@@pastrocchio90 @pastrocchio90 Almost everybody opsesively talking about strings, which string failed, breaking strings as if that never happened to themselves. BTW Leonidas is fantastic performer. I enjoyed his sound in this video also. That is what counts.
@@slavneslavne I think you misunderstood the comments. Nobody is criticizing Kavakos here.
the original shred! love it
I know one concertmaster playing more or less this way 😆😆😆
This happened to me during an international competition in the first round while i was playing a piece from Bach xD (Still got to the 2nd round but that was a bit of a shock for me, haha)
Fucking good!!
truly constructed in an unorthodox manner

Thank you TH-cam for recomending this for me!!!!!!!!!
Dont show that to small children
Actually you don't listen Kavakos' playing but composer's voice and message directly.. That makes Kavakos one of the most important soloists ever!
being a great instrumentist does not mean that you are also a great person ,,,,,,,,,,,discusting act for his age ,,,,,,, he was not 18 on that video
His violin sings it's incredible
best performance of this piece!
Frankly ...he's naughty...wunderbar
Hearing Heifetz play out of tune, with crappy vibrato and poor finger and bow technique is literally unbelievable. And very funny. Sanjosemike (no longer in CA)
Phenomenal ...
Just imagine how much practice went into creating this. A perfectionist even in comedy!
Most of us violinists agree that Heifetz recorded the best version of Vieuxtemps 4 in history. And here he doesn’t just imitate a bad player - he points out every mistake possible in a very profound way actually, which is very hard to do. Humor aside, to be the best performer of the piece and then doing this is simply next level 😎
He's absolutely serious---very good humor!.... To need study by "everybody 's" mistakes "....
Actually, it turns out that there was nothing wrong with his E string, it was his other three strings and the entire orchestra that were out of tune!!
OMG
THAT'S HOW I PLAY TODAY! LOL!
Wonderful, powerful, dark.... his violin packs a punch! I believe this is back in the days when he played a Guadagnini. Now he's onto the "Willemotte" Strad, and before that the "Abergavenny" Strad (which Florian Leonhard helped him acquire). Leonhard can be heard saying in a documentary that he thought it was time for Kavakos to move up a tier and go from a Guadagnini to a Stradivari but in my opinion the violin in this video really shows off all the colours, emotion and brilliant technique that Kavakos has to offer. I wish he would go back to a Guadagnini. There'd be no shame in it. I feel the same with Julian Rachlin as well. He used to play a Del Gesu then transitioned to a Strad, but that beautiful and iconic "Rachlin sound" comes from a Del Gesu in my opinion.
You’re very right
For real. I recently watched an old video of Kavakos performing Lalo and there's nothing quite like the power he displayed, especially with the G string passages - powerful and rich in tone.
I have waited for a bit! Loll
12 years, but we have patience.😂
Yeah... just a *little* bit haha
Finally 😂😂😂
😜
What the hell is this? There's no video! clickbait!
Excuse me? Did you even listen to it?
