What? I dont get it
Same here as well! I don't get it as well! Lol
What brand is the green coloured oil that goes into the damper side? 5wt side thanks
I think it was fox branded oil. It’s what they had at the local shop here
Buy cheap...... Buy twice 😏 Saying that I recently got a full genuine graphics set for a NUKEPROOF Mega for £12 😎
Sick!!! Nice find
First of all, great video. Just bought a used Yari for 100€, in what looks like excellent condition. To make sure all is fine I do intent to perform the 200h service, as I have no ideal of its service history. While I'm at it I may as well upgrade it with a Charger 2.1 damper. Do you have any experiance with this upgrade, and should I go for the RC2 or the RCT3 version?
Thanks dude!!!! I haven’t upgraded the damper yet but I would say go all out with the RCT3
4:54, Do those plastic spacers have a position? In my case, some have holes facing up and others facing down.
I don’t believe so. As far as I know they serve no other purpose than as a spacers
@@iwantmymtb Ok, thanks.
Excuse me for my ignorance. So what’s the answer? Is it better?
100% yes. Much much better
Sweet. Where was this @?
It’s a place called Laurel Run in Church Hill, TN
This is a great vid!!
Thanks🤘
Hampton Watershed Trails rock!
I agree!!!🤘🤘🤘
2:59 out of focus
im going to be coppying every single step youve done in this video because i have a rockshox recon silver rl solo air that have been riden almost everyday since 2021 with nothing such as a "service" to anything. so i hope it ends well, as i have watched this video couple times now and youre able to explain everything in such a good way that i will have you as my guide when doing the service, as its my first at 15 yrs old... anyways, you got yourself a new subscriber! thanks.
Right on bro!!! Good luck with the service
@@iwantmymtb watching this video now and starting the service now! let you know how it went after...
How did it go?
cheers from France
🍻👍🏻
Think this needs more explaining especially if never done it before it makes no sence
🤷🏻 I tried my best…..maybe. Try watching it again two more times at 3/4 speed
Thanks Tony Stark
Anytime, Peter Parker
This is exactly the info I was looking for. Most seem to concentrate on the SRAM XD freehub, so thanks for the video from the UK.
🤘 awesome!!!
My Lyrik has 4000+ miles on it guess I should do a rebuild.
Yeah... might be a good time lol. But realistically, these forks are bulletproof. I've had my lyrik for 3 years and got it serviced recently. It wasn't even in that bad of shape!
Bro at this point you have an experiment opportunity you shouldn’t waste 😂
Hey now its been a while did the nx last as long or longer than the sx?
I’d say pretty close to the same longevity but better feel, I think
That was so easy to remove, mine was so hard
My strength is unmatched lol 💪
so does the new NX casette NOT come with the necessary spacers to properly mount it? that seems a little cheap, and potentially very inconvenient
I’m sure it does. Mine was a take off from a new bike. LBS gave it to me.
I’m from Canada and I do all my maintenance except for wheel alignment and suspensions. My wife’s bike has an SX drivetrain and I will put a X01 as soon as my new wheels arrive. The SX drivetrain is a joke, you don’t pay that much more for NX or even GX
I agree. SX is not the best….but something nonetheless
I had to replace my Sram SX cassette and Sram Eagle chain because they were worn. I installed the new Sram SX cassette and Sram Eagle chain and now the bike is difficult to ride....my legs and knees hurt when riding. To me the bike does not perform the same as when I bought it brand new from the bike shop. My knees and legs did not hurt when riding. Jyst to ride my bike now I need to use a lot of energy just to pedal thr bikeWhat have I done wrong?
I would check the chain tension first. It may be cut too short. Also make sure the chain is seated properly with the narrow wide.
Finland 👌
🤘
Thanks great help - had same difficult bolt on truvativ cranks set. used your box trick and 1m steel pipe - heard the release ping and thought I snapped the hex but no just loosened off the bolt - nice!!!😅
Awesome dude!!!
Oh man, put on a warning before that last part, please 😭.
😂
Exaaactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the easy to follow and understand tutorial 🙌
Awesome to hear 🤘
Going to ride all of it tomorrow with some buddies. Our area has some awesome terrain for mountain bikes that’s for sure.
Get it dude!!!
@@iwantmymtb we got it, all day. Moonsault was a lot of fun!
I got sticker from EBay and were fast in delivery! The rock show sticker l chose supposed to of been oil-slick metallic , but when l got them, they were not metallic and were not oil slick!! To be honest! I probably could have got the metallic material and printed it myself on a home printer!
The internet is always a liar lol
hello, my cassette is moving kinda sideways. What's makes the cassette moving this way? I used spacers but I not screwd it on 50 Nm, it's more like 20. do you think this is the problem?
Most cassettes are around 45nm I believe. You should have a spacer behind the cassette also
I’m back at mtb after 12 years of road cycling and man standards have changed ! But finally thanks to this video I now know that the free hub I need for my 1x12 11-52 sram nx cassette is an HG one ! I’m gonna get rid of oem crap wheels specialized uses 😡. Cheers from Italy man !
Glad to have you back to the cool side of cycling lol

Hello to Taiwan

No
Use slikgraphics configurator 😊
Def will next time
On the valves clogging, I noticed something in your video. Try to make a point of storing your bike with the valves at the bottom of the wheel (so they're pointing up) instead of at the top. This may sound counter-intuitive but if you think about it, this will allow the sealant to drain out instead of becoming trapped and hardening. Updating the damper to at least a Charger 2.1 on the fork would be an excellent upgrade and don't overlook a DVO Topaz when you're upgrading the shock.
👍🏼
Do you not readjust the preload when you install again.
I did just didn’t show it
Famous last words, " I guess it'll do" LOL.. great video man
Lol
While I’ve serviced shifters in the past and didn’t really need to know what’s inside you certainly made it entertaining nonetheless.
Entertainment over information lol
What hub do you have? I have a 2022 Chameleon. Mullet set up as well. Rear hud is SRAM MTH. I can barely hear it.
I run the nukeproof horizon v2 in the rear
What do you do about the preload ring when reassembling the crankset though?!
Just snug it up to take out the side to side play then tighten the set screw. Hope that helps
unnecessary and you made it worse getting longer cranks.
Yep that was soon noticed afterwards. Shorter cranks are better
Which brakes do you prefer and why?
Shimano. Because they're better.
They are pretty good brakes. I’d like to try some higher end shimano brakes
@@iwantmymtb To be honest I just posted that to trigger Team Sram, but they are very good. I honestly don't think there's much difference for the average user from SLX up. Even the MT200s on my son's bike are fine for the average rider on even a decent trail. Sram is good too, the stop fine, but to me they always feel like they need to be bled.
Shimano all the way if I've given a chance to own one SRAM Brakeset definitely it will be both 💯👌
Just like anything else in the MTB world, pick a side and be dick about it! Yes, I run SRAM Code RCS’s on all my bikes.
That pretty much says it lol
Glad he is ok!! Love Unaka! was fun seeing y’all out there!
You too dude!
Glad that your friend is OK. Those trails are way too fast for me. I don't bounce when I hit the ground anymore.
Then I would advise not going around bouncing on the trails my dude! Lol he wasn’t ok to start with 🤪
So So good my dude
Thanks dude!!!
Luckily no broken bones or major injuries for Byron
Lmfao damn
Right? He’s ok though
Thanks for the info.. from Puerto Rico 👍
I’m so happy to be able to help! It’s why I do it!
Ps ,,for the ppl watching ,,i mean why using a sticker with a rock shock name on it ,,,i mean u can use anything any word ,,ur name for example or just the word f### or anything,,,common guys be creative ,,hope all the best for you ,,baruga☠️
🤘👍🏼
I love this! Made me cry. ❤
Awwww
You lost me at “I like SRAM brakes” 🤪😜😜 Very nice vid man 👌
Haha but I do 😂
@@iwantmymtb have you ever tried a 4 piston Shimano like a Shimano XT or Shimano Zee? Their braking power is significantly more and they don’t fade on long descents 👌if ever you decide to switch brakes, maybe try them
@@ETSUalex 90% of performance complaints on SRAM brakes can be fixed by swapping their hot garbage OEM pads. Going to either Galfer or MTX improves initial bite while virtually eliminating heat fade (I've had mine literally smoking on 2000+ ft decents with no real difference in performance). Brake preference is very personal, just wanted to throw the recommendation out there for anyone as a cheaper, easier alternative to a brake swap.
@@phonebeminteresting. The gold Avid Pads are better Then every Pad from galfer. And i use galfer still in my saint but what U saxing makes No Sense. SRAM brakes are Just Not IT.
