Below are my current job responsibilities:- My core job responsibilities include: 1) Investigating phishing URLs and reporting them to ISPs, domain owners, or registrars. 2) Analyzing vishing and smishing numbers and shutting them down. 3) Takedown BEC scams.

I work as a project manager in the financial industry. Is it realistic to land a grc specialist position with security + using transferrable skills?

I live in a very competitive environment. I think this 120 day plan would work great if the pre-requisite is that you have the compTIA certification triad, A+, Network+, and security+. Which this an take about 7months to do depending on how focused and dedicated you are. This is where I’m currently at and I will say it does build a lot of confidence in your skills as well. Im also in college, and I hate to say it but my area is like this and I’m sure most areas will be like this sooner or later, but to not get your application shredded you must have some type of degree.
