a great relief and enhancement of travel quality is expected on full utilisation of approx 175 metro stations. last mile connectivity will give self employment to many share autos and convenience to public. govt should consider and incenntivise share autos for LMC. then only full potential of METRO will be realised.

Nice one - Guess it is time the authority start thinking about complete OMR redevelopment plan with most of the civil works for metro getting over. Plan should include continuous pedestrian / cycling path, Bus stop bays, many more walk over bridge, proper placing of utilities, increase FSI further and trees.

Great 👌👍 coverage!! Actually this is not from alwarthirunagar. Double layer from virugambakkam till alapakkam 4kms. Obviously it's very complex and challenging. But this work has just reached certain stage. Still major and plenty of work. It may take 2027. It's not easy to complete by 2026 mid.

I’ve just come back from Chennai and the traffic is horrendous . It looks like a disaster movie where every one is rushing to get out of the city before a tsunami strikes . Even after building so many metros and flyovers the traffic congestion is the same mad mad world . By the time all the metros are built the population will have increased by a few more millions and you will be stuck with the same dilemma . God help you’ll 😂
