That brooder is too hot. They're cluttered at the angle away from the heat source and not close to the heat source. So, you need to reduce the heat.

Good morning this is Hloni from Soshanguve Pretoria. I'm on day 17 of raisng broiler chickens. I'm a first time farmer with no background or knowledge of poultry farming I only learnt/mastered chicks farming after I watched Makwala agri series as he taught me step by step and detailed everything on things to do and things to avoid by that I've managed to do well on my 1st batch as they are still growing nicely. My problem is bigger feeds and drinkers as I've only got the smaller ones and the chicks are growing fast so that I'll be able to get other 2nd batch and expand while finalizing the 1st batch. Greetings to Makwala Agrii and the followers I am Mailula Morubula ,an aspirant poultry farmer based in Botlokwa,Lebowa outside Polokwane in Limpopo. Let me start by appreciating the opportunity given by Makwala Agri to tell our story on how they have impacted our lives, particularly in relation to farming for the past three years up to date. Makwala Agri TH-cam Channel impacted my life positively, At this point I am well informed about the real costs of starting a poultry farming in relations to broilers as a beginner ( e.g the costs of essentials like feeders, light bulbs, wood shaving\saw dust, day old chicks and e.t.c). As blank as I was, now I know how to clean and disinfect the chicken house before starting with the breeding cycle of broilers as hygiene is the most important aspects in breeding happy and healthy chickens. I am mastering the art of breeding day old chicks up to 35 days chickens that are ready to go to the market as a result of Makwala Agri contents that are realistic, however most farmers sells at 42 days. In mastering the art of breeding a successful cycle, there are aspects like temperature guide for healthy and happy chicks, essential tasks to be taken into consideration and lastly the mistakes to be avoided in the breeding process that i learned. In most cases broiler farmers tend to cease production during winter, however Makwala Agri ensured that I do not join such a crew, by ensuring that I'm well equipped in winter care tips and tricks to grow healthy chickens. Sometimes breeding can be successful, but the selling might become a problem, but as we usually know that Makwala Agri takes us through the entire process of the business leaving no stone unturned,Makwala Agri taught me how to market my business by accessing different kinds of customers and ways to communicate and offer them good quality meat. As I conclude, Makwala Agri Motivated me a lot to an extend that I even managed to build a chicken house that can hold approximately 900 chickens, however still trying to knock on relevant doors to be assisted with equipment so I can kick-start my business. Therefore it will be an honour and a privilege to be considered by Makwala Agri and Poltek as I am truly in-need of the equipment to start with the business immediately.
