Is a 1960's Ford Mustang Worth Owning Today?
The 1960's is becoming a forgotten era in today's car market. That doesn't change the fact that they are still great cars with tons of value for the money!

Aerobatics w/ Gar and Bretton (Zlin 242L N242AD)
มุมมอง 1.7Kปีที่แล้ว
Join us for an introductory aerobatic lesson with an experienced Air Force Academy grad and fighter pilot! This was for my brother in law Bretton's birthday. Needless to say, he had a blast! This flight took place at Meadow Lake Airport (KFLY) in Falcon, CO. Here's Gar's website: www.acesupaviation.com/
Buying Our First Airplane & Flying It 500 MILES Home!
มุมมอง 39K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Buying an airplane can be a very involved process, but the experiences that follow are extremely rewarding. Join me and my Dad as we travel to Dallas, Texas to pick up the airplane that we decided on after over a year of searching for the right one. I'm so ready for all the adventures to be had with this new bird! Next time, join me on the first adventure of many as we check out Sedona, Arizona...
I Taught a Friend How to FLY

In this video, I fly out of Meadow Lake Airport near Colorado Springs with my friend Chris, who’s already been up with me a few times.
I Took My Friends On Their First Flight EVER!
มุมมอง 9K4 ปีที่แล้ว
I take my friends Collin and Leslie flying for the first time! Collin flew in an airliner years back, but this is his first time in a small airplane. I had some issues with the recording of this video, mostly having to do with the headset audio. I also would've liked to have more camera angles, however, I'm happy with the way it turned out despite the issues! Hope y'all enjoy! Join me next time...
Great video! Came across this in my feed as I'm about to go look at a '66 Mustang tomorrow. A trade might happen! We'll see!
Best of luck to you, they’re great fun vehicles! I hope you can make a deal👍🏻
@SeansHangar I'll let you know!
My 65 is a blast to drive. 331 with a 5 speed and 3.55 gears. Not as fast as a new mustang, but way cooler. Subbed🎉
Nice video! The 60s were blast!
Such an AMAZING car 🫡 especially that grill😍 it’s the best looking one out of ALL of them💯
Blessed to have that💯🫡
Generally * No.♡ sits on a falcon frame , however, im very fond of them ♡ way over priced for what you're getting ☆. . .
Thanks, looking to see what kinda car to buy.
I'm 71 and I'm looking for a 66 , that was my first first Car in 72 in Ohio. Live in Phoenix Arizona since 81 and I'm looking for a 66 Mustang. I'm Doing a lot of research Thanks
Do the Shelby drop, put an export brace on and switch to 15” wheels and the car will handle considerably better. Beautiful car!!!
Epic video on American 🇺🇸 nostalgia 👏🏿🙌🏾🇺🇦🙏❤️🇺🇸🐐thank you 👍
Do you have Gar's email ? Thanks
I do not, but his website should have some contact info for you: www.acesupaviation.com/
i bought a mustang 1964, mine definitly needs alot of work but i quess i got time just no money
I bought a 67 289 last year. Didn't need that much work mostly just maintenance needed to be updated. New brakes, new suspension parts. New door panels and locks. Engine and transmission rebuilt in the car. What's left is just some wiring in the engine bay. My buddy did the work. I will have to have it towed to shop for the wiring stuff. My first old school car I'm excited
Love it. Have an early 65 K code coupe. Grew up up riding in it with my grandpa
Great video. Did it come rack and pinion and did you install the PS? Beautiful car. I have a 68 and am considering PS.
Hi Patrick, thanks for the comment! It did come from the factory with PS. I’ve driven a ‘66 without it, and while there is more road feel, the PS does help out a lot in parking lots and such. And no, it’s not rack and pinion.
GT package wasn't the same as today's GT. It was the equivalent to today's performance pack or track pack. Depending on the year (65-69) you got: slightly better suspension, front disc brakes, a special badge people would steal constantly, dual exhaust, different ratio steering box, bigger sway bar, fog lamps, and appearance package. Basically what you'd want if you were taking your mustang to the local scca races.
Beautiful car brother! I’m restoring my dads 66. Love the color! What’s the paint code?
Thanks! Looks like the paint code for Ivy Geen is R.
Good video. I was a kid when these cars came out. My dad bought a convertible 1 month after they were introduced. Been a Mustang fan ever since. I have two sitting in my garage. An 89 Saleen and a 99 Cobra which is my daily driver. I'm retired so maybe 50 miles a week. Like you said they're just fun cars to drive. Enjoy.
banger video! i have never wanted to buy a mustang more than I do now lol
They also had a 260 two barrel V8 but you almost never see that. They’ve either been swapped or wrecked.
That is true! They offered it for the first few months of production in the 1964 1/2 model year. For '65 they replaced it with the base 2V 289 V8. Thanks for watching!
Junk
douche
You must be a pos Camaro lover
So many better cars from that era than lame Mustang
And none of those models are being made today. Except for the Corvette and F-150. Camaro dead, Challenger/Charger dead, Pontiac/Oldsmobile dead and buried. The Mustang 60 years of nonstop production.
not really, The chevelles, novas, Fairlanes, torinos, Camaros, firebirds etc had a bad tendency to collect mud, rocks, etc in the quarters, fenders, cowls etc. mustangs typically didn't have those issues besides the cowl.
@@DominatorGarage See how narrow-minded you are? Besides all those cars being better than ford all you mentioned is domestic junk. Look at the 1970 Mercedes 300SEL 6.3 with overhead cams field injected and flat 12 and V12 Ferraris lamborghinis and Maserati Italian masterpieces. American cars with primitive pushrod V8 simple carburetors 2 speed transmissions Leaf Springs and drum brakes were junk Compared to the European cars. Compared to the European cars. Even Toyota those years had a Toyota S 2000 which Detroit had nothing like it
@@anthonynicholich9654 funny thing is all those you listed are super limited, super expensive and Very expensive to maintain…so which is the Junk? I can Restore a Mustang/camaro/Chevelle/etc for less than the price of a Junker of those mentioned…I’d bet you’ve not owned one where you can Go to a part store and basically buy 90% of the mechanicals
@@DominatorGarage Part store? Autozone, O'reilly's? I don't put parts on my car that are made in mexico China us. Even for my Toyota Camry I don't go there I go to a dealer putting back quality made in Japan parts on it. That is why it has 450.000 milea on it original engine transmission. American cars are like McDonald's cheap for a reason and Italian cars are like Italian restaurant expensive for a reason! You can't afford a Italian restaurant that's your personal financial problem! Enough said.
This was great! Mid-late 60s were the golden era of American Muscle. Great car, great commentary, well done!
Never once seen a 1st gen Mustang that didn't make me smile, and I'm a JDM guy.
I’ll keep my 2001 bulittt, but I love seeing people keeping the older ones on the road ❤️
I'm so pumped about this
I definitely agree. These cars are definitely worth it. In fact the 1960's is my favorite automotive period. Thx for the video!
Great video! Looking forward to more!
Yo awesome video Sean! Keep this awesome shit up love you content you should post more often
Gar introduced me to flying but with aerobatics first!
Good to see Gary yanking and banking in the clear Colorado skies.
Great job!!
Nice editing Sean!
Nice Flying Bretton!
Miss you 70s man!
70s man is back!😎👨✈️
Is that plane a Beechcraft baron 58?
It's a 1978 Beechcraft BE24 Sierra. A Baron is a little bigger and has two engines. :)
I have a crush on 70s man XD
99243, great airplane!
So i will be a pilot but i will not be an airline pilot i would be a private pilot like in a private airbus a330 Edit: airbus and garmin is my favorite aviation company
Do you plan to become an airline pilot?
Not necessarily airlines, but I definitely plan on flying for a career in some form!
Is this a fortnite montage?

POV: you came from his brother Zealous
I came from morejstu
Wow that is true
I have so many financial questions about this process!
Shoot! I'd be happy to answer them if I can!
@@SeansHangar What's monthly maintenance, storage, and fuel like for a plane like this? Is it capable of going outside the US even if only to Mexico or Canada? Lastly, not referring to you specifically but a private flight on a small plane like this would run about how much $ per hour in the air?
@@GodofDisco We are renting a hangar at $500 a month, but that would be cheaper at a smaller airport. Fuel is $4.70 a gallon at my home airport, (KCOS) but it's $3.70 at the smaller airport (KFLY). Monthly cost would depend on how much you fly. Maintenance also depends on how much you fly, but it's typically around $500 a month including reserve for engine and prop overhaul. I don't run or work at an air taxi business, so I couldn't accurately tell you what a chartered flight would cost. However, I do know that most of the time you won't get on a single engine aircraft for a charter, at least in the mainland United States or Canada. It would usually be at least a piston twin. If I were to charter my airplane, I would probably charge $150/hr, and that's off the top of my head without doing research. Hope that helps!
@@SeansHangar Amazing man. That was so detailed, I appreciate you taking the time to write that out. It helps me plan. Have a Merry Christmas.
@@GodofDisco Absolutely, Merry Christmas to you too!!
