Wow!! Love to see the growth of tech woke! Keep up the great work!

From what I have seen, if you have studied Cybersecurity or you're in the tech world in general you don't need it, Security+ is way better, BUT if you come from a very different career, like "Sales, Marketing, Management etc..." and you are interested you will know more about this field and learn some stuff, it's a very good course, and it will help you do your Security+ certification better if you found that this field is what you want to transition into. So for those who are looking for a Career Change it's worth it. For those who are in this field already, as the video said focus all your time and money into Security+

Actually google cert is much better according to the opinion of men working in IT for 10 years and also took both. The security plus is just what the USA deemed a necessity but the google cert has more value since it’s cheaper and it also has more hands on.

I agree as well that having that road map in regards to the direction that you want to go to in tech is so important. I have been studying IT for 2.5 years now. I earned a certificate in PCI DSS, and recently passed Comptia Security Plus. I also tutored for the exam. I am half way through the Google certification. Last year I made it to the third round for a PCI cybersecurity interview. I interviewed well but never heard back from them. I am still continuing to improve my practical skills. I would love to work in a government role, and eventually travel overseas to work. It has been hard for me to find anything. I would love to have a mentor. I would greatly appreciate some advice. My family has been not been supportive. They think that I am wasting time.

I’m in same place right now…security guard as GS worker with secret clearance already: been trying to get that Sec + cert but it’s taking a while because I’m learning from scratch last couple of years; I’m invested in it now because I want to finish what I started, but just need to keep pushing forward with more hands on,etc without paying for college courses…learning from Udemy and plugging away as I work….👍🙏

After a year of upskilling and testing for certifications, last one being Security+, I managed to ace an interview with a Fortune 500 IT/Gov tech company and just finished my second day as a remote SOC Analyst. It's possible to do, but it takes a lot of work and a lot of effort. But one day at a time, always
