Does this book have a lot of spice?

When it comes to learning Norwegian by reading, I would recommend the novel Eva/Ida by Nadine Mackell. It is a queer love story written in short snippets, so should not be too hard to get through, but it also touches on complex themes such as mental illness and identity! Had Sally Rooney been a Scandinavian writer, she would write like Mackell! ❤

I fully agree with the "All the Bright Places" the book was so much better and the movie let me down so much.

i'm re-reading conversations with friends, funny you should mention that! the first time i read it i thought it was really intimate, but this time i'm finding it quite dissociated and full of double negatives, and i don't think i'm going to finish it for my own emotional well-being-i don't know how you do it! 🙈

i did not know about the new sally rooney-i must live under a rock! 🪨 i just looked it up and apparently one of the main characters is a 22 year old competitive chess player and i feel like rooney's just going to use him as a complete pawn, which is making me feel mixed feelings already! 🙈 also, choosing vibes is always the way! what's the point of reading if you're not setting yourself up to absorb all the feelings?! 😊
