With clips! Pink Floyd Animals "unboxing" and compare to original.
Hey everybody! I recently was given the "box set" of Animals, which includes the 2018 remix on vinyl, the remix and original mix on cd, blu ray and DVD-Audio (with 5.1) and I'm super excited to dig into it and share with you the differences between the two releases. 1977 original and 2018 remix.
The 2018 is not a remastering, but a full on remix of the album and there are some definite differences, which I'll let you hear in the video.

I love stryper. I got to see them in concert September 23, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma after 40 years of waiting to see these guys it was worth it. It sucks that I have to wait for years to see them but better late than never, they are still one of my all-time favorite bands stay frosty my friend
Still cuter than a button❤
Far and away my favorite Floyd album. Looks like a really nice package there, thanks for the review.
thanks for watching! It is a nice set, for sure.
Agree 👍 some of the Giles Martin remixes aren't great either
interesting: I think the new drum remix is too invasive, plastic - more like a slap than a tap. the muted tones of the original is my preference. I watched a 'cleaned up' 4k version of Lawrence of Arabia recently and saw Anthony Quinn's prosthetic nose - it looked ridiculous. And Jack Hawkins shaved hair line to depict his characters balding - just ruined it. For some, this Remastering of the past will have the same effect - it doesn't necessarily make it better, you can just hear more. I'm left feeling somewhat suspicious by this 'cleaning up' of great art.
I was 20 when Animals came out and was listening to all previous Pink Floyd for years, and I thought the 3 long tracks on the album were great. They missed it again, they should've put the full version of pigs on the wing (part 1 & 2) with the snowy white guitar solo in between.. I don't know why they refuse to do it. I wonder why the hell they had it on an 8-track!
Those 8 tracks are very collectible now. They had to make the 4 "parts" of the tape roughly the same length, so some bands had to add to or subtract from the music to make it work.
@@vynyly I know how the 8-tracks work.. I'm way old enough lol Actually, my point was that if they could put it on 8-track, they most certainly could have and should have put it on vinyl and CDs.
It's sad that the Animals album did not receive a full immersion box set treatment like the other 70's Pink Floyd albums. It is awesome regardless and being a completest it is a must buy.
Yeah, those immersion boxes were cool! I'm always on the lookout for those pre-owned.
As a first generation Monkee fan,I found your video very informative. Love your commentary,as it brought back those memories of the summer of 67. {what a time to be alive}. Thanx!
Bill Guarnere was much taller than Babe and that is not indicated in the statue. I wish that the artist would have respected the family wishes with regards to Bill's injuries and his use of crutches. It was disrespectful to the family. What could never be portraited was the PTSD that both suffered, especially Bill. RIP.
I love them all up to Promised Land 🤘🤘🤘🤘
same.
Check out their more recent albums. They've gotten better and heavier.
I like the look of these hinges but they are quite expensive. Surprised that no-one in the far east has copied these a lot more cheaply. Any idea how to release the spring loaded hinge please? Mine has broken as indeed the tabs on the cover. Thank you
not exactly sure what you're trying to do ...
Take the black bracket out of the housing👍
Wish I could have been alive to see them in their heyday of the 80's, because that would have been something but unfortunately I wasn't born until 1990. But yeah Stryper was and still is an Awesome band! Interestingly, I believe they have actually gotten harder as the albums have continued! Saw them a couple of years ago with a cousin of mine in a venue outside Lynchburg, VA and they killed it; but man were they LOUD! LOL
Beautiful Girls - Van Halen
Probably should be on every kind of list. Ever. lol
The Eagles nest was seized by the seventh infantry regiment.
Pretty sure the Yellow and Black Attack was the best selling independent release for 83 or 84 which definitely helped the band take off
Great tutorial! Thank you! Planning to replace my stylus for the cheaper one to listien to my old USSR vynils
That sounds super interesting!
Excellent news the new owners saved Bill's home and rented it out. The US public really appreciates and respects their veterans; our British developers here would have sold Bill's home and forgot about it.
I agree. That was very cool.
Hi, nice video, I have a question, issue with mine, on used records with minimum scuff or hairline it skips, I know these produce clicks or pops, but in this turntable the skip. Is there a way to fix it?
Without seeing it in person, my best guess is that something is off with your tracking force. It may be too light. This model doesn't seem to have an easy way to correct that. Back in the day, we would put a small coin on the headshell to add weight. That is, for sure, bad for your records and your stylus, but could be a way to see if tracking force is your issue.
This guy sucks
Steve Vai plays guitar, I think
Vai's not on this one. He is on the next one, though, "Eat 'em and Smile." Most of this one is Edgar Winter's band, I believe.
@@vynylySo Rick Derringer on guitar?
Hi My Technics SLQ 303 Turntable Platter running continues.not stop without power off. And Arm stuck not move towards Records Grooves. Advice plz.
I'm not familiar with that specific model, but if I had to guess, I'd guess that the gears are gummed up with old lubrication.
My father has an old turn table from the 70's going to see if I can get up running again.
Sounds like a fun project!
My dad bought this for me on Christmas of 84......my dad's pretty cool. I think he loved it as much as I did
Great video....one of the best I've seen on Fosi BT20A Pro. Especially helpful was you showing there is no need for speaker banana clips. Thanks for sharing & providing useful info/insight!!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks!
No, the title of "world's most hated band" would have to go to Nickelback! Seriously, Stryper is only hated because most bands/people are just envious of their talent. Amazing musicians, who sound even better now than ever. Most, if not all bands from the 80's, can't even come close to them.
I’d highly suggest anyone looking at one of these to consider the upgrade BT20A Pro. The Pro has a couple more features- pre amp out and neutral notches for the tone controls- but the biggest upgrade is the sound quality. This unit is fine for shop use or maybe running some outdoor speakers but I wouldn’t use it for ‘serious’ listening. The sound out of this model is a bit lean and very forward. Nothing has any depth and the soundstage won’t extend beyond the edges of your speakers. This model uses a TI 3116 amp. The BT20A Pro uses the TI 3255 chipset. Not only do you get (a lot) more power but the sound is much closer to what you’d expect from a quality class AB amp. Singers are no longer in your face and the whole soundstage sounds a lot broader with more depth. The leanness is gone and while I wouldn’t call the sound ‘warm’ it’s definitely a lot more neutral than the non-pro. I’ve had both and even use one of Fosi’s V3 units for desktop use when paired with a Topping DX1 DAC.
Almost upgraded to the pro, went with the tb10d and a wiim instead. I moved the bt20 to my desk with an su-1 to use on my PC. It's where it belongs.
We really thought this was the coolest thing back in the '80s. A Christian metal band finally!! It served its purpose but I can't believe they're still going today. It reeks of cheese loaf now. Hang it up dudes, it was a good run now it's time to make an honest living. Lol. 🤣😇
Rip Maggiore Winters.
Love them. Growing up in middle school
Thank you for this video. If you ever have the chance, come and visit Toccoa, Georgia...home of Easy Company and Currahee Mountain...3 up-3 down! We have a wonderful military museum.
I've heard! I do plan on a visit.
Rest in peace Major Dick Winters. 🏵️🌺🥀 Having watched the "Band of Brothers" and listened to your interview thereafter, I saw leadership from a completely different perspective. That changed my perception of military leadership. Much respect from Africa. 🫡
It's a great album.
All the songs on Yellow And Black Attack are great. Especially Loving You and You Know What To Do. No filler songs on that album.
I believe it's a Jewish tradition to leave a rock, stone on a grave, on a military grave, a coin is traditional, and the denomination is based on the acquaintance. Penny, if you didn't personally know the individual. I have come upon single graves forgotten hiking in the woods, or just redevelopment. One was in a State park that was once a large farm. A lone tombstone still there in the Thistle. I always leave a pebble on them.
We are free today because of these men. Truly the greatest generation. I hope we can keep it.
Why they can not made things like this anymore? Beautiful turntable.
Hi, does it support AptX?
As far as I can tell, the BT20a Pro supports AAC and SBC only.
Very cool memorial. Never knew it was there. Will have to check it out sometime.
It was nicer than I expected and has the potential to be even better. They have this program where people can buy engraved bricks. Once that gets built out it will be cool.
I’m member that building. I’m from that city Annapolis.
Hi i want to ask, which one is better denon dp 29F or Denon DP 200. Thanks!
I've never used the 200, but I know the 29F is well liked.
Music in background sounds good. Who was it?
It's "I don't want my heart to rule my head" by a UK punk band called Social Security. Released in 1978.
Great band! Inspired me to play and sing ! Love it!
Your pronunciation of Epherta is WAY OFF. Also, its LanKISSter county, not LangKASTer county
I have been made aware. lol Sorry!
if you use the pre amp out to use powered speakers do you get the benefit of getting a better sound from the speakers or not?
I think any difference in sound would be related to the speakers themselves and not so much this amp. The BT20A Pro really only serves to add a bluetooth connection, as far as I can tell.
F-RA-TA ,PA or Ephrata PA
Yeah, I've been told. lol Looking forward to doing another video there so I can pronounce it correctly!
They are a really creative great band. The name sucks. A better name would have helped these guys but they are really legit
Barren Cross was a better band overall, not so cheesy. Lead singer Mike, of Barren Cross was a good friend of mine.
That's cool! I liked all those bands back in the 80's. Barren Cross, Bloodgood, Jerusalem, Rez Band, etc. Still have most of their early records on cassette. I have some Rez on vinyl, from way back when they were still called The Resurrection Band.
