All great tips! In particular I didn’t consider how much more helpful a skill like Spirit Drain would be in a game like P3R (as opposed to 4 and 5 ) 😲.

The "Faire" skills are extra helpful compared to the ones in later games because they directly increase the stat, not the damage dealt, so a Falcon Knight with Lancefaire, for example, when using a Shock stick would gain +5 to magic making their staves more effective, longer range or higher healing for instance.

OOH so THAT’S how Chrom passes his skills down. I didn’t know that. I never gave Chrom a son so I thought Aether was the default because I wanted to pass Aegis to Lucina and her sibling so I could save time grinding. I heard somewhere that the different pokemon designs were due to evolution and human interference. So going into it knowing that, i didn't mind the changes. I never really played past gold/silver/crystal. And i hated quite a few of the pokemon in x and y so i never finished them. So i missed a lot of the ancestor and sound hints. but i love Arceus.

Galeforce is one of the most overrated skills in FE history. It’s a decent skill. Not good, not bad. People who sing it’s praises have only ever thought about it in concept. Awakening is a tank game, not a nuke game. Durability is far more important than firepower. Sol is easily better than it. Wanna know what the best skill setup in the game is? Capped Hero with Sol, Limit Breaker, Armsthrift , Vengeance, Aether or Vantage, with a 1-2 range weapon like Ragnell. That will serve you infinitely better than any Galeforce Setup.

My hot take is that TPC should not have the rights to the Pokemon IP. And I don't mean, give it to someone else, I mean Pokemon should be public domain. It's the largest IP on the Earth, Pokemon's cultural impact is immense and will be studied by people of the future. It shouldn't be controlled by a corporation that not only won't work to preserve its work, it will (and has!) actively work against community efforts at preservation. But that will never happen, because lmao why would it.

Technically you can get two of the sinnon legendaries as both the event acrceus and a the arecues from spear pilliar will trigger the event (just got get a azure flute some how)

In the Pokémon Rescue Team series, there is a Feature called WonderMail. This allowed the player to access new missions in certain generations. What if Pokémon used a similar system? After 5 years of the games release, Nintendo releases the event code that the player can input to access an event.

Sword and Shield were re-released as bundled editions with the DLC on the cartridge, so there will be a way to play the DLC after the eShop closes. But it wouldn't surprise me if the bundled editions became really expensive in the future. Scarlet and Violet also recently got a re-release with the DLC included, but they only have The Teal Mask on the cartridge and The Indigo Disk has to be downloaded. So half of Scarlet and Violet's DLC will eventually become inaccessible, which really sucks. Another thing that drives me crazy is how Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl were released with incomplete versions of the game on the cartridge. They have since been reprinted with the day one patch included on the cartridge, but it still means that many copies of the game in the future will lack the finished music and even features like Ramanas Park.

That's why I feel no remorse when using the alternatives currently enabled to obtain Pokemon events via WiFi. To me, it's not so much about obtaining the Pokémon but experiencing the event to go through everything the game could possibly offer.

The longer I go on the clearer it is how little Game Freak cares about its fans, it wouldn't be that hard to just unlock all the events after a generation is over or circulate all the raid events in SwSh now that they're finished

Thank goodness for the fans that have gone above and beyond to keep these events available and reusable with emulators/rom tools.

Yeah the special events for gen 4 was easily the worst aspect of that generation. Like why the hell are you locking away special events from the player. And sinnoh is so fucking guilty of that. - Regi’s - Darkrai - Cresselia - Shaymin - Manaphy - Arceus Like, that shit was ridiculous.

mythical pokemon suck so much ass, and it sucks that even **if** they re-run the events (like darkrai/shaymin events in bdsp) they're still limited run. and this isnt even mentioning mythicals that you need to have OTHER GAMES to get !! (jirachi and mew in bdsp with sw/sh and lgpe respectively, and arceus in bdsp with pla) at least, i think both darkrai and shaymin are permanantly available in pla, but i think they're shinylocked? which probably doesnt matter much to most people but as someone who occasionally likes to torture themself with shiny hunting... yea. and keldeo is perm available in the sw/sh dlc once you've caught all swords of justice. so at least some of them are available!! if you have the money to spend!! but there is also SO MANY pokemon that simply arent available anymore outside of their original games :/ i want a meloetta god damn it

Fan made dns servers distrubt a lot of old Pokemon events for gen 4 and 5.

Oh yeah. As someone who has been playing since the days of RBY. One of the most heartbreaking things has been looking on Bulbapedia and Serebii at the events I never even knew were happening. The Pokemon I missed because I never realized going out to Toys R Us or Gamestop and picking up this Pokemon or that was even possible. Then of course now I have Pokemon like Ash Greninja. And I can't transfer that forwards because while it keeps the ability, it apparently does not continue to transform.

This is barely scraping the tip. 2 games, 3rd game was always better. Stoped making 3rd games, never should be 2 just one, cant catchem all etc etc etc etc its absurd...how to say.... you cant really fully play pokemon. Ever. Even if it wasnt for the events
