What kind of accent is that?
Linda Manz (the smaller of the two girls) grew up in New York City, and I believe that's her real accent, perhaps a little exaggerated and dumbed-down for the role. Her accent is similar in her other big movie, 'The Wanderers,' which was set in the Bronx in the 1960s. She died in 2020. Jackie Shultis is the other actress. I couldn't find any biography on her, since the only movie she appeared in was this one. She might have just adopted the same accent as Linda Manz's for the film or she may have grown up in NYC or Chicago. Going by the script, the train that took the migrants to that farm left from Chicago, so they might have been imitating the Chicago accent of poor people in the old days.
@@craigfinnegan8534 thank you for your response. I was thinking they were from Chicago b/c that was where they were when the movie started but that certainly didn’t sound like a Chicago accent. I am from New York and it doesn’t really sound like that much like a New York accent either.

I'm glad I gave you a "raise" at your job! Your being reminded of Tatiana by this piece and my choice of a photo of her wasn't a coincidence - I love history and I've read a lot about the last Tsar and his family. Tatiana's my favorite Romanov for the same reason I love this concerto - their beauty and regal bearing are on a level above even other masterpieces.

Love Danny Bonaduce. Sure David Cassidy was the heartthrob, but Danny's comedic talent really sparked the show. I loved that he was tousled, red headed and chubby - in fact in the early 1970s I had a crush on a boy who looked exactly like him.
