Elmo 16CL projector and iPhone 4K film scan.

This is another clip run on the TRV16 Elmo with the new RPI camera mod. The new camera is capable of producing HD videos and has internal and external video recording capability.

The TRV16 projector old camera was replaced by RPI HD camera with the internal video recording capability. It is also possible tot record externally using the HDMI output. This clip uses the optical sound.

This is the TRV16G unit modified for HD. Record internally or externally via HDMI. The clip is Scopitone with the mag sound. The TRV16 has both optical and mag sound.

This 16mm clip was taken with the TRV16 Elmo projector modified with the RPI4 and RPI HQ camera. The clip was recorded at 24 FPS and stored into the SD card.

Here is some info on Scopitone if you are not familiar with it: scopitones.blogs.com/scopitonescom/whats_a_scopitone/ Used this to test the projector magnetic sound. Pretty good actually for a very old clip. Check my other 16mm clips if interested.

Issues with the film synch at the beginning due to misfed film. Fixed after that. The sound is also picked by RPI from the audio amp.

This clip was scanned in with the Wolverine camera mod. The mod provides 3 camera bracketed exposures and the combined video was created with the enfuse script. For more info refer to the following github site: github.com/vintagefilmography/HDR-3-DIRS-BUC02

Real time 16mm film capture with the EIKI16 SLIM LINE projector. The capture also includes sound and the video is without any flicker despite the 3 blades used instead of 5. The conversion kit installation is very simple and takes less then an hour. Contact me if interested in getting the kit. The kit is also available for Elmo 16mm and Sankyo 8mm projectors.

This is my first attempt with the Wiki 16mm projector. Still needs some tweaking but works very well. Have to fix the vertical streaks at the right edge and this particular projector has issues with the sound. All in all this setup runs extremely well.

This is a test video created with the Elmo 16CL projector and RPI camera mod. The scan was run at 24 FPS (real time).
