Betty succinctly sums up Ellen and Eunice. I’ve seen a lot of fan commentary that’s pretty harsh on Eunice for not having the confidence to achieve her goals. But Betty is right that Eunice was the one who got saddled with dealing with Mama and she got nothing but grief for it.

The show was good, but not ever having Carol Burnette in the syndicated episodes was odd. I mean, I know the backstage reasons for it not happening, but it was still jarring.

Mama's family will always be my favorite sitcom of all time.

This comedy was one of my all time favorites, the characters were great and they all had natural talent. There's not many other comedies that rank as high as this one. Other comedies that are of the same standard were Are you being served, The golden girls and Keeping up appearances. A mixture of US and British comedies. They had great comedic timing, they were well written and the humor was just naturally brilliant. Much love indeed.

Way back in 1990 when I was 10yrs old I'd wake up at 5:00am Monday-Friday on school days to watch 1-1/12 hours of Mama's Family reruns to get my day started. That's how much I loved (and still do love) Mama!!!😘😘😘

After all these years (2020), I'm still watching this cast on Mama's Family and still enjoying every show.

Leaving that asparagus scene in, accident or not, would have been hysterical had the censors allowed it.

Anytime a TV star have a talk show and they start having reunions from their former shows you know the talk show is near cancellation. However, I LOVE “MAMA’S FAMILY.”
