Thank you, yes the model would lend itself to a lot of more advanced painting techniques. However I’m all about just getting stuff done to a decent standard these days.

I’m glad that you found the video useful. The Murder scene colour is really nice. It was a hard decision between the three main colours and I would have been happy with any of them. You can use any brushes available to you. I tend to use cheap synthetic brushes although you can use more expensive sable brushes as well. Speed paints and contrast paints tend to be hard on brushes and they won’t last as long as when using traditional acrylics. Just buy some cheap brushes in sizes from 1 to 00000. I hope this helps

@DecrepitGaming you're welcome, it was nice to find the video. I picked up some 3rd party stuff in Extra Quest a while back, but that was designed for the old style game, I need to pick up come bits like this for the new version :)

Happy days on the table in your garage now you have to assemble terrain lol that’s another project for you. I have the next two weeks flat out in work then back to the channel. I still have Tomb kings models to paint as well as Orc stuff to finish those series of videos before I move on to other armies.

Lookong forward to seeing the rest of the TK and O&G videos. Would love to see you do one of your rambling videos about the latest news and releases of Dwarfs and Chaos Warriors 😂. I got a neoprene mat coming from flames of war which is grass one side and desert the other, and got a couple things from etsy on the way for the terrain pieces.​@DecrepitGaming

The beauty of speed paints is they are so thin but cover so well you can do a lot of experimenting and just cover it back over with white, without loss of detail. I would tell you to use what I show as a guide and to change what you see fit. Thank you again for taking the time to leave me a comment

@@DecrepitGaming Thx for the reply! I been window shoping for paints now and watched a few other videos of using contrasts. It seems GW has some versions that are more covering than others, with no shading effect. So I guess that is something to look out for?

@@DecrepitGaming I like idea of an Egypt themed pack. Mummies with the masks of Anubis etc, something a bit different. Maybe Animal Headed Gods too!

I was thrilled to see hasbro/avalon hill re release the game and all the expansions are great, they add so much and keep folks going back to the game. @@DecrepitGaming My pleasure, yes the 3D minis really do offer some interesting add on's for all the expansions (they also have a website, which breaks it down a bit better). Yes I had gotten HeroQuest, Advanced HeroQuest and was getting into Warhammer Fantasy, then along came Sega and I lost all interest. I think there is a huge element of nostalgia with HeroQuest and I was saying even 15-20 years ago I wish they would bring it back. I actually purchased something from Games Workshop yesterday, the first time in over 30 years! It's actually nice just owning something in a box again, it feels like years since I have had anything like it as mostly boxes just get thrown out!

Yes, at the top of the snake the cape flares out there is a flat section that you glue the back of the head onto. If you look at some pictures you will wee there is only really one place for the heads to go. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. I totally get the love of metal miniatures. I feel the same.. I do however like the plastic skeletons and I always have. Tomb kings would not have been my first choice but I couldn’t do bretonians, I feel nothing for them. One trick pony. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment

@@DecrepitGaming I started late in 40k 5th edition and metal minis were being phased out. Finecast was just meh. I’m frustrated I need to rebuy several blood angels minis that are now plastic lol. But yes the feel of metal minis was just so nice. I agree the plastics can look better and are easier to put together but even tho I didn’t grow up with the metal ones, I have an unusual fondness for them.

Use the strong tone, just remember to wait until it’s fully dry then heavy dry brush of white. Then start your colour scheme. Have fun achieving results:)

You are of course correct. You could easily put a lot more time and effort into painting even skeletons. However I am satisfied with the results of just using speed paint. Thank you for taking the time to leave me a comment

I'll just use speedpaint as well, but I'm curious to try putting Holy White on the bones instead of Pallid Bone. Unless that ends up looking too white...
