Cedar cross refinished
I made this cross about 5 years ago and it needed refinishing. I picked it up brought it back to my shop and sanded and resprayed it. Only took a day but it should last another 5 years.
I was honored to make it years ago and honored to refinish it.

Handmade Leather Wallet - minimalist

Relaxing video showing the making of a minimalist wallet. I have seen this design a few times on Instagram and wanted to try it. I cut out my version on some folder paper and traced it onto the leather. To anticipate the folds I waited till it was folded to transfer the angled cuts. It worked out very well. Limited on meds due to nursing and had the same awful life of 20x a day plus taking care of 3 children under 4 with a husband that traveled 4 nights a week. It was an awful time. With prayers and time I was able to go on meds that finally helped and was symptom free when that sweet baby was 15 months old. It is life altering. So glad the angles came to you in the form of a medical team that took care of things to get you on track again. So sorry you have had to go through this.

    There are several other creators making Moxon vuces in various forms and shapes. Each creator does a pretty darn good job except for 1 glaring issue that none of them have addressed. That issue is the method of how the entire vice/workbench is clamped down to the workbench itself. All of them use some type of clamp. While the clamps are 💯 effective, the clamps take away from the overall looks of the vice/bench. Can you think of another way to secure the vice to a workstation without using the ugly clamps, but still able to make the vice/bench removable? I was thinking of adding a horizontal vice at the bottom of the bench that would be usedto secure the Moxon to it. Or drill through holes through the front legs and insert bolts that would then go through predrilled holes in a workstation. The aft support could have holes that dowels could be inserted and then placed into holes in a workstation.

    • @CunninghamWoodWork
      @CunninghamWoodWork ปีที่แล้ว

      I like your thinking for sure. I wanted something quick and easy to attach to any bench in my shop so it needed to be universal. If I had a dedicated space on my nice bench I would probably integrate clamping into the main bench dog holes or something.
