why not link the frornt ?
looks clean. I like struts (overkill, but snazzy)
Thank you! 🫡
I love all your videos. I am a new GX owner. How did the move to the north go? Did you do an undercoating to prevent the GX from rusting?
So sorry for the late response, I am just now seeing this! The move to the north has been a shock. There’s far less off-roading out here. Otherwise it’s been great. I have not yet! I’m moving into a house with a garage finally in a couple weeks. I’ll be doing a lot of work there. Stay tuned!
Unpopular opinion, Icon is junk!
I agree with you!
did you add the front ads yet?
Update! I just added the ADS up front. Rides amazing
@@mikemckinsey what spring rate? i have ads front and back and have bumper, skids, winch and find they ride rough even on setting 1 for the adjusters. Im on 700lbs
@@YotaSurfs I got the 700lb as well
How are the ebay uca handling? Im really looking into a set but there is not much reviews on them
They’re still holding up great!!
Nice setup, and pendant too ! 😁🏖🖐🏽
🤙🏽🤙🏽
Do you have a video on your drawer system?
I don’t! I’ll do a video walk around soon
Wow 🤩 ! Nicely done man ! Giving me ideas 💡 for my GX ✌🏼
What size are your rims and tires? What’s the offset?
Checkout my video about the GX getting 35’s!
Молодец мужик🎉
Glad to see a strong dude like yourself lifting tires like that. I always felt like a sissy mounting my wheels that way. ( I am a woman anyway, but it was the only way I could do it.)
I worked at a tire shop briefly as a teenager so I got to practice good technique! 🤘🏽
Noooooooooooo! No, Oreilly parts on a Toyotaaaaaa! Go to the dealer and buy the rebuild kit! Keep your Toyota a Toyota!!!
It will be nicer if can put a black drawer front face on the pull out cutting table! good job!
dr.kdss. pan hard bar relocation braket transformed how the rear handled sharp bumps. Highly recommend. Not hard to install. Takes 45 minutes.
❤❤
whyd you swap the front? square front is so underrated
I actual work for Toyota. They suck !!!!!
But their vehicles are the BEST!! Sorry about the work situation tho
Best part of Arizona summers, is when it's over.😁
i like how you show the full process while speeding up the wrench turning. Makes the video easy to follow and provides the most amount of information. Nice work Mike
FYI: Your rear bump stops look like they're needing replacement.
Promo SM ☝️
For someone who doesn't have a lot of time on their hands, how much would you charge for a drawer system on a GX470?
I’m actually putting all of my tools into storage for the next year or so. I’m relocating to Ohio
I like the AZ flag!
Thank you!!
It’s a Dana 30 BTW. And there is only one way to upgrade that axle….. replace the whole thing
I was waiting for someone to comment that 🤣
DANA 60 SWAP BAYBEE
Dana 35’s will take anything
Nice music in the back round
What carpet did you get for this? I’m about to build something very similar for my lx450
It’s from Home Depot in the rug aisle
Dude! I loved this for my truck. Do the drawers go to the edge of the rear seat or do they extend further? Any measurements would be super appreciated!
Yupp, they touch the back seats and the tailgate when the back seats are up! The final depth measurement came out to 41.5”. About 10.25” height & 41” width
Bro! Thank you so much for this video. It gives me a great visualization of how I should be designing the drawer system for the FJ80. You are a gentleman and a scholar!
Of course!!
nice work slick looking fresh
Thanks brotha! 🤙🏽
Dear god
Full lock + full stuffed is bound to break something
Az flag on the hood? Definitely subscribing
Thanks man!
If you've never replaced the rack and pinion, you're going to sooner than later, there's better ways to go about clearing for 35s that entails a lot lot more work, If you do all this work and it's still rubs in the end, is it really clearing 35s? Definitely have a 3-in lift in the front and worn out springs in the rear. Also, the transmissions really don't like 35-in tires until you regear typically tell people to plan on including the cost of regearing with the cost of 35s. It definitely does make off-roading a little smoother rolling over obstacles. After your first off-road trip, you'll definitely figure out where else you need to trim. Awesome video edit! Great job with transitions and intro and really glad to see somebody trimming the bumper with a real grinder and cutting wheel and not a dremel.
Yeah I figured that would probably wear out first. I'm prepared to swap it out. Ultimately, I'm clearing 35's for street and light trail driving. I'm not doing any hardcore offroading with this GX and if I ever decide to then I'll make sure that it's fully cleared while bumped/articulated. Thank you though man! I appreciate the feedback!
I’m not as awkward as I thought i’d be 😂 You’re welcome back anytime brotha 🫡
You did great haha. Thanks bro!
The video turned out great!!
I’m glad you liked it!
Glad to see you making content bro!
Thanks Warren! It took me long enough 😅
@@mikemckinsey I am loving it bro! once you get all this up and running you will have a new business to do!
@@xenongfx that’s the plan! I just really want to enjoy the process
pretty sure you can spray matte clear coat on top of semi-gloss and dull it without repainting
Interesting, I might as well give it a try. Thank you!
Wtf
Questions?
Ill need another Yoda first
What are you getting next?
@@mikemckinsey parts for the kawasaki 636
@@jaydangle2 that’s cool too. Ride safe brotha
Thanks again man! Love this setup
Of course!!
Its going to just walk up ledges now. When I put the 35s on my 80 series wheeling the local stuff became pretty easy.
Ohh I’m sure! I’m excited to see how it handles the whoops compared to the 32’s
how did you get an advertisement already? Weird
I shouldn’t, my videos aren’t monetized yet..
Looks sweet
Thanks man 🤘🏽
