How Squid Game became Netflix's #1 Show
Nah, L
I always have such a sense of comfort watching the Wallace and Gromit films, to me it feels like a warm cup of tea on a winter evening, something about it is just so relaxing
Why is duck takking abiut being scared of wallace and gromit.
2024, i figured id come back to this video, since the second season is coming this December I figured id express more on how these last 3 was perfectly written the Glass Bridge episode expressed the sheer fear of stepping into the wrong floor, The Penultimate episode was emotional, due to the impact of Sae-byeok's character arc, and the finale was fantastic, like where can i start, the reveal of the Creator, the final game and even the soundtrack These 3 episodes shows that they're giving it their all in the final act to the story, which makes an "absolute cinema" to watch Overall, the final act in Squid Games have the greatest conclusion and an exciting cliffhanger to reveal an new season
As someone who started with a close shave, and had some problems as a kid, and when you showed the arm in the tank and said “it’s something that could normally scare me”, I felt that…
I’ve never found Wallace and Gromit terrifying.
I just marvelled and revelled in your synopsis of Malcolm in the Middle. You made my heart glad. I could not wait to see your next observation. Once in a while I see the finger of God touch a man’s heart And I bask in the glow provided. Thank you for putting this together Thank you for displaying your insight and heart to me. Thank you for helping me to feel good this day, Thank you. John K
That father died episode was so good. It requires really skilled writing to be able to write a successful sitcom that at the drop of a dime can draw other emotions when appropriate.
I think squidgame at its core isn’t about politics of Ideology capitalism vs socialism especially economicslly, also capitalism isn’t an ideology its an economic theory based of liberalism not that they aren’t vital but instead that they are extensions of the conflict between Gi-hun and Il-Nam this is socialism and liberals have two different views on human nature Socialists that it adapts with society but is fundamentally cooperative (soud farmiliar, it reflects Gi Hun’s belief in people) it also beleives they aren’t always rational I think, Liberals (Il-nam) believes that humans are rational and selfish. This conflict and beliefs in people informs most of the characters, this is gonna be a long comment so I’ll try and be brief, Sae-byeok starts liberal moves toward socialist by the end, Ali Socialist mostly btw he was too good for this world R.I.P, Gi-hun is also socialist,Il-nam liberal as is Sang-woo who on initial watch seemed just like an uncomplicated villain but now Idk, the others I find it’s harder to tell but my guess is Deok-su and Mi-nyeo are lib, not sure about Ji-yeong. My politics teacher taught me Ideologies are based off of veiws on human nature and are ways of making a world best fit for that human nature because Squid Game is about the conflict of human nature’s ideals and agrees with socialist views (sorta) it reads as socialist although there is direct anti-capitalism this is the main argument Edit Forgot to say thanks for making this video it’s amazing and helped me to write the above
It's a cool way to think about it. I think in general I just prefer to look at things in terms of the characters' emotional psychologies instead of what they might represent politically.
That makes sense thanks for responding yeah it’s just different ways we see the world
Who’s this fuckjng nerd get a grip pointdexter
You seem to be more of a people guy but I’ve seen enough of your videos to say you dabble in politics a bit, adam curtis is a great and also weird start he’s a journslist who makes almost found footage documentaries about the human condition and the world around us as a result and how those forces shape us it’s fascinating although dense really worth watching if you ever think why is the world the way it is on a human level he put out a surprisingly still hugely relevant series in 2021 I think or maybe 2020 called ‘cant get you out of my head’ it’s fascinating to me just thought I’d name drop it cause honestly I love it months on from a great rewatch It still hugely informs my politics and generally is useful that’s obvs all my opinion but eh whatever i said that more for me and trying to share my interests sorry if that sounds selfish
No matter how good Uncle Rico was, He’ll never beat Al Bundys Polk County High record.
Wow, you wasted 6+mins to basically say, "I'm easily scared, and I find Claymation terrifying."
Haha, finally simeone adresses it When I was still a child I never really was scared of wallace and gromit, but one night a had a nightmare about the show I dont know why I had the nightmare, but since then I viewed the whole thing with other eyes Like you said, something feels off
I cannot believe that I thought that Francis’ actor was the one who played Hyde in That 70’s Show, but it turns out it’s his brother.
Their sister's in Walking Dead, too.
22:46 Reese has the potential to be a great culinary genius. Theirs also the part where he’s a socially awkward person and being a nobody, that hit me.
13:58 it’s still an abusive and selfish thing for Lois to do. She can’t just place himself in a position that he doesn’t want. And if he doesn’t get elected, he’ll just end up in Ock and depression
But it could help him humble him and help him learn that the world doesn’t revolve around him, it’s about the people around. Not doing it for their attention but it’s because you care
Wallace and Gromit is not scary, it’s charming, nice and funny
I always get choked up during the screen between Hal and Lois, when she is giving birth in the rain. The script is beautiful and the acting is amazing
I was watching a high school football game last night and the QB had a weird throwing motion where he threw off his back foot. And I instantly remembered Uncle Rico and how he threw a football. It was exactly the same!!
Just the opposite
I grew up only watching the were rabbit. Mostly because it was a Dreamworks movie. I did watched some shorts but I never cared about them. I never gotten scared at wallace and gromit. I mean the eyes and the plus sign like face kinda creep me out but it never gave me nightmares. I never knew that they’re was almost nobody in the old show.
God I love this show. The genuineness of everyone’s emotions, the lack of overly makeup-ed actors. The characters are real. The way they depict love is so beautiful in the show
Hello my man, great video would love to see more Doctor Who content!
A matter of Loaf and Death shows a random old woman getting hit with a bun thrown out of Wallace and Gromit’s van and 2 nuns selling kittens. I guess they were background characters.
The Day of The Dolphins short traumatised me as a kid. Seeing the characters get killed in such a brutal fashion was so terrifying. Not to mention the ending. But it is understandable why the Treehouse of Horror scared so many kids, as most horror is aimed at adults, not kids.
Superb video mate. Gonna check out that two mins Japanese film out now. Keep up the good work
Cheers man. Great film.
The only character from the show that actually terrified me was that damn penguin. He literally has no soul.
When I was a kid Wallace freaked me tf out but now they chill as hell and I want paraphernalia of them so bad
For me the weird part about them is the uncanny movements and of course the appearance of the distorted features like you said the eyes
Amazing video! You broke down each character’s dynamic so specifically that I can tell you have deep love for this show!!
(second comment sorry lmao) I really love the Dewey "emotionally disturbed" class plotline. I'm disabled, physically but also autistic (ASD1, or high functioning for more common terminology), and as a kid I was placed in Special Ed classes initially despite not really requiring extra attention or care. I was moved out later due to being one of the top performers grades and score-wise in the entire district, but at the time I was just a slightly awkward kid thrown into special ed, and the disabled children were dehumanized and treated terribly. I ended up being a friend to a lot of them and trying to be understanding despite not really belonging, and the Dewey special class plot always resonates with me for that reason. It's sweet that it never mocks the kids too hard, there's some gags due to their eccentrities and behavior but it never feels ableist or super mean spirited and I appreciate that. PLUS they show that Dewey treating them like people and actually trying to further their education IMPROVES them, and their behavior stabilizes. Its a surprisingly intelligent take on the issues with dehumanization and ableist mistreatment in Special Ed. Sorry for the ramble its just so rare to see a show do a take on this that's so accurate to real experiences like my own, always adored that
I haven't finished this video yet but its really cool to see somebody acknowledge the more serious tender parts of this show, I always thought it was surprisingly emotionally intelligent and dramatic at parts and its odd nobody talked about anything but the humorous aspect (which granted is very funny)
Nothing is perfect
I am used to a lack of people. It's normal
Not me crying to the emotional aspect of a show I’ve seen my entire life
Currently watching for the first time,s3
I don’t think this show is horrifying because some animated movies is just look like Wallace and Gromit
I’m terrified of a middle aged man and his mute dog running towards me yelling CHEEEEEEEEEEZE
Loved the video, Rush Hour 2 is a fantastic film. Always look forward to more videos from you
Cheers man. Sorry the release schedule's so spotty.
@@dennigalla No worries mate. We've all got jobs and lives to tend to. Hope everything is good with you mate.
Jackie Chan is always amazing, but Jackie’s movie summarized by a Scot is braw!
Rush hour 4 gang
Rush hour trilogy was perfect. Better than Friday by a mile tucker made the right decision
While rush hour one is perfect. 2 is just so much fun to watch overall. 3 I feel was getting a bit stale as somehow they are both at each other's throats for no reason but the tower fight was cool and the wig trick was clever
Pls keep making random awesome videos
Planning to.
What I love most about the Rush Hour movies is the vivid colors.
Yeah, all the wee things contribute.
I’m pretty sure uncle Rico was supposed to be a High School football star, I don’t think his character was intended to be “college material”.
Aye you could be right. Lots of folk get into college on sports scholarships and things though, right? Could be either way.
Wallace and close shave used to scare me but it was kinda a horror story so
