Home of Hollands
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 22 พ.ย. 2024
We are the Hollands, a family of 6 with four little boys! We currently live in a shed to home we converted ourselves while we build our long term home on our property. Jordan did the complete build out of the shed home and has renovated many houses and RVs over the years. Natalie homeschools the boys and spends her days doing all things home-making. She loves design and cooking for her family. On this channel you will find projects, videos of our shed home, recipes, from scratch cooking, and home making content. Thank you for being here!
Cinnamon Crunch Bagels
½ cup sourdough starter, bubbly and active
1 cup warm water
2 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons salt
3- 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons yeast
FOR BOILING THE BAGELS
large pot of water
1 tablespoon baking soda
1 tablespoon brown sugar
CINNAMON CRUNCH TOPPING
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons butter-melted
2 teaspoons cinnamon
In the bowl of a mixer combine the sourdough starter, water, honey, salt, yeast, and 3 cups flour.
Mix on low for 5-10 minutes. You want the dough to be more stiff and barley come together. 3 1/4 cups of flour is usually perfect for me.
Once the dough is smooth cover with a towel and let sit on the counter to rise for about 2 hours.
Once the dough has rested for two hours cut it into 8 even pieces. Roll each piece into a ball then put a hole in the middle. Place all the bagels on a parchment lined baking sheet, cover with a towel and let sit in the fridge overnight.
In the morning heat the oven to 375. Then bring a large pot of water to a boil, then add in one tablespoon sugar and baking soda.
Make the crunch topping by combining the melted butter, sugars, and cinnamon .
Boil the bagels in batches for one minute each side. While they are boiling place a small amount of the crunch mixture on the parchment paper where you will place the bagels. Then place the bagels on the parchment and top with more crunch mixture.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until internal temprature reaches 190 degrees. Let cool for at least 5 minutes and top with butter for cream cheese!

How We Saved Thousands of Dollars on Our Kitchen
มุมมอง 1.3K6 วันที่ผ่านมา
When we built our little cottage we really wanted to stay as close to our budget as possible... so we had to get creative. We sourced many things for our home from Facebook marketplace, including a good portion of our kitchen. It ended up saving us $4550! We found our range weeks before we even moved to South Carolina and the lady was so kind to hold it for me. We also saved so much on our cafe...

Our days are never exactly the same howev...

Most asked questions: Cost: $68k for the shed structure and build out. That was my husband doing all the work except drywall finishing and insulation. HVAC: We have a mili split system with units in the living/kitchen, bedroom, and loft. The range is a Hallman, however we found it used on Facebook Marketplace. Is your sofa from Anabei?
What a wonderful family and home! BTW what do you use for the collagen foam? Looks delish!
What type of shed is it and where did you purchase it?
Can you share the breakfast cake recipe?
❤
This is one of the prettiest homes I have ever seen. It seems very peaceful. The kitchen is very beautiful.
❤❤❤
Is it true that the outside panels are made of glue and wood shavings?
Hello! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us 🙏 as I am nearing the point of doing the same, I am wondering if the $68k barn/build out numbers also include the appliances? You just got me so excited because it's hard to articulate what's in your head, you absolutely 💯 nailed it! ❤God Bless.
Cute shed. Learn how to use your camera to show your home, projects to their best advantage. Not so much dizzy movement.
Where did you get your couch?? Been looking for a sectional like this. I love your home so much! We will be building a tiny home soon! This was exactly what I’m wanting. ❤ thanks for sharing
Thank you for sharing yoir Beautiful Home.. may I ask what color of paint you used as the accent?😊
Beautiful Home!
This is the way living is going to be. Taxes too high, no insurance available
love love the windows
Beautiful cozy home 🙏👍
Nice job 👍
I was all about it until I saw that bed…. I have strong opinions about that mattress thickness & low ceiling height in the boys loft myself.
Love ur house, it's very cute. God Bless 🙌 🙏 ❤
Beautiful and thank you for the reminder above fb market place. We found 8 acres with well, septic, storm cellar and a single wide trailer that's livable but needs work. They're asking price actually fits our budget so we're hoping and praying everything works out.
Such a beautiful home. Even if it is temporary.
Beautiful! perfect! Organized. Just what you need nothing else.
We also have a large family and our home has a typical 10' galley kitchen from the 80's. All the time I think of how we don't need upper cabinets for storage. I'd love a kitchen with windows like yours! It's a beautiful home
So nice. Love how you laid Everything out. You made a great floor plan. Beautiful use of space.
So sorry, I see you have already provided that information. thank you
I absolutely love this. Did you do all the work yourselves? How much would you say the entire project cost?
Can you please share what colour/brand paint you used on that shelving unit next to the couch? It's so pretry!
No television?
I love open shelves and no upper cabinets
Beautiful home beautiful family simple living and basically debt free ❤️🔥🫶🏾
Hello! Glad I ran across your video. I’m a 58 year old mom to 10 and have been home schooling for over 20 years! Our rhythm is very similar. We also home school M-Th with Friday being our cleaning day. We go four weeks on, one week off with a six week break between school years. I love it, and have never really experienced burnout with that schedule. I also use a mix of traditional methods with some Charlotte Mason mixed in. Have a blessed day!
Have you ever used BJU math or All About Reading???
Do you mind sharing the coffee cake recipe?
It's perfect for your family!! People will always have strong opinions about others while their most likely living in their mother's basement 😊. You have a beautiful family!! I wouldn't change a thing in the house. It looks like you thought out each detail perfectly.
I feel like I’ve already watched this video?
I think it’s a repeat of the previous video, but with their curriculum choices added on at the end
No uppers makes it feel huge! I love it
Love this so much!! Please do a video about the lighting choices you made! The sconces and main light, bathroom lights, all are so pretty 😊
