There is no such thing as speaking Chinese. You can say speak Manderine, Cantonese, Fujain or Mongolian or Uyghurs or whatever. It is like saying, people speak in Americano in USA. Americans don't mind if the language they speak refers to another country "English". That's the truth.

Mulan in Mandarin would be awesome
Posting it in Chinese is also powerful because it shows that people from the other side of the world and through history have had the same thoughts. So those feelings are truly universal among humans. Aka it proves that we are from the same roots.

If you have Disney+ you can set the audio to Chinese (中文) or Chinese（普通话), both are Mandarin but the former is from Taiwan and the latter is from mainland China

The video contains several inaccuracies. Firstly, Mulan was of Turkic origin and therefore would not have spoken any Sinitic languages. Secondly, during Mulan's time, simplified communist characters did not exist. Therefore, even if Mulan spoke and wrote in sinograms, she would not have used this type of incorrect script. During the time of Mulan, people in Northern Asia spoke Middle Chinese rather than Modern Mandarin.

And on the other side, the Mongolic people insist that Mulan was from Proto Mongol Xianbei origin. It was during Northern Wei Xianbei Tuoba’s dynasty
