Loved watching Force Five and then Star Blazers right after. I have Danguard Ace with all the accessories. Grendizer and Gaiking were my favorite though. Was wondering if the opening and closing theme that plays on Gaking's leg is the English version from the 80's series shown in America or the Japanese version?

the odd funny thing about the 60's action figure doll 007' james bond was that the doll was the cheapest and saddest 1' made a straight lack luster no real articulation no movement but the 007' doll had the best gear and equipment , GI joe was ok body wise , but oddly it was captain action who had the best action figure body with good hand movement to hold pistol , sword or knife and captain action had the ability to wear many different head pieces and almost everyone who owned gi joes had a captain action doll with 007' gear

Wow ! It is amazing how companies, make action figures a lot better nowadays thru time practice, the computer, talent, creativity, and imagination, that, my mind never had.... Some people had the nac for this unfortunately, I did not, but I wished, that, I did.. Mondo and the big toys, put more effort in their toys than Mattell, but this is only an opinion.. It looks like people put more effort into big toys than smaller toys because it may be easier, but then again this is only an opinion. Mondo Exclusive, as, I watched your video, it seems, that you went a little beyond than Mattell with three outfits.. Regular, Battle Armor, and Thunder Punch outfit.... I am surprised,You didn't make a Prince Adam outfit or the Flying Fist Armor and also give him weapons with it. Maybe it is asking ... Wished I collected but didn't have the time, I just enjoy the artwork...

Stallone shop first blood in hand is absolutely excellent.

Actually all 3 figures from Threezero have unique & different head sculpts.

III remains the best figure. This head sculpt is good, but it looks like Woody Harrelson. And the only correct body is from III. But this figure is cool.

I found this review late via your Rambo 2 review which i am also waiting for to complete my set. Totally agree with your thoughts on the “reviewers/advertisers” you mentioned, more concerned with getting a steady stream of free shit than being honest and risk upsetting their pay masters. The Sly Stallone Shop one is ok and the look they went for is pretty iconic but i feel every version from threezero is better in terms of quality and as a package….. and i gotta say the best way i could describe the Stallone shop one is as toy-ish, the boots also look fucked up. On films i think First Blood is the best, in fact one of my favourite films alongside Rocky, Rambo 2 and 3 are decent action films but because they traded the action for the originals grit and gravitas i feel they become quite standard and do t stand out like First Blood. Good review by the way.

im goin to get this too,i have the rambo 3 three zero..but this first blood part 2 head sculpt is that good too..and i like that red bandana..

I definitley disagree that "his arms are much more heavily muscled than he had even in Rambo 3". Sly was RIPPED in Rambo 3, that was his peak in terms of Physique. That body looks like an exact replica of Sly in Rambo 3. And in Rambo 2? Theres a difference, but not much. It's using the body on the First Blood figure that was really inaccurate, but even then his accessories helped cover that up

I have the hot toys duo dynamic and this batmobile is my dream! Who knows, one day I'll have one?

Force Five came out AFTER Mattel had discontinued the Shogun Warrior line in the USA. When the toy line came out, around 1976, few kids knew the background, or what they were. Then later when Force Five was on TV 1980-81 with DANGUARD ACE , GETA Robo G, Grendizer & Giaking, the Shogun toys were long gone, stopped production around 1979-80 just before the TV series hit big. Now the demand was high for the toys & used prices skyrocketed. Collectors who were skilled, & saved the toy & the box, saw prices Jump into $$100 range, after just buying a few years earlier at bargain clearance prices of $ 10 or less. After that most toys were released WITH the Tv show or movie, not years after. Of course as a kid I blew up all my shoguns and kicked myself later when prices soared, pissed at my nerdy friends who never played with them hard & saved the boxes & accessories. I eventually bought then back decades later for $100s dollars more. Make sure if u do get them, get the 1st Generation release with the real missiles that launch and have flexible joints, for Mazinger, Poseidon, Star Arrow, Dragun. The 1st Gen of these 5 inch diecast versions all came with Green styrofoam inside the box & Mazinger was not called Great Mazinger until the 2nd Generation. For the larger Plastic 1st Gen Great Mazinger this had a large plastic V for chest of fire, the later version had a red sticker in a V shape, as they later used this chest piece with the Grendizer toy to save money. This Grendizer toy was not released in the States, only Japan & Europe, hence the price is even more on the used market. The later released Giaking, Dangaurd Diamos only had one version in Die-cast or Jumbo plastic, as did Raydeen which came out earlier with Mazinger, Geta Robo, Godzilla and Rodan. Rodan may be the most valuable given its rarity.

Few years late to this party but I just took notice to this line of MOTU figs with the introduction of Teela (timed edition preorder) into the 1/6 Mondo line of MOTU. I was looking to add the Mondo 1/6 He Man but thought V2 was the obvious choice man was I wrong. Based on your very in depth review which is excellent by the way, I would rather try to get V1 He Man first of the He Man figure in 1/6 Mondo line. Thanks so much for the in depth and concise review

This head for me as a huge fan of the movie and all Kurt's 80s movies is a deal breaker sadly. I havent seen it in psrson so cant be 100% ill wait for them to do another version in a few years

I am saving up to purchase one, right now. This is definitely a grail piece for me! I love the iridescent paint and I’m glad that it has the Peter Weller face plates, simply because this will be my first & only 1/6 scale RoboCop figure. I currently have 4 1/4 scale figures in my collection: Spider-Man, Batman Begins BATMAN, TMNT Leonardo and DAREDEVIL. My 1/6 scale collection includes Reeve SUPERMAN, WONDER WOMAN (Comic) & WONDER WOMAN (Movie). Looking forward to adding RoboCop. Great review. Very informative and insightful. The bulk of my collection consists of vintage figures from my childhood & 1/12 & 7” scale figures. I also have two 1/9 scale figures, RoboCop V 1.0 & Enterbay Michael Jordan. I’m in the process of downsizing my collection and focusing on grail pieces. I would love a Flynn Light Cycle from TRON: Legacy.
