I've been running this after spear nerf. Hitting ppl or 14k Hundered Blades just like in the old days. I played Mace Shield GS but I think staff is quite a bit better

7:00 honestly that resonates so much with me - I'm moving away from Willbender in WvW to give Strength Spb and Spear Virt a try, and I'm learning a lot more compared to when I was on Willbender, especially on Spb, because I have to watch for dodges, watch the boon bar for stability, and count the enemy's stun breaks. Struggling against condi a lot on both classes but I'm holding on own very well vs power classes, especially the new Willbenders who can only gank people and not duel (aka me a few months back). Not saying I don't have to do that on Willbender (usually I still need to watch for dodges to land sword 5), but more often I'd be ganking people from > 1200 range away so the skill level required is nowhere as high.

Love the music choice at the start of the video 🤘🏻 I’ll be trying out that build too on my War since I dislike Defense SPB too. In your opinion, can I ditch staff for hammer? Would I have to change anything? Great video, keep it up! 👍🏻

Super fun build. I won a ton of outnumbered fights playing it with my mechanist friend during the wvw rush - Zakiros scales extremely well vs hordes of newer players XD.

I used to be a wvw player but since the whole server to team change. I don’t feel like playing wvw anymore. So much rude players, pre players going for weeklies and don’t know anything, no queues meaning it’s empty, to much boonballing, everyone ignoring calls to defend and so on. And Arenanet thinks it’s a success while 90% of all wvw say it’s gotten worse. I went back to pvp and pve because of this :(.

in wvw its ok to target people just because they are not MOVING its your own fault for putting yourself in that position You enter wvw YOu have to keep your guard up always no matter where you are Pardon me if this sounds so much worse then it is It should be a lesson in how wvw works imagine RPrs they be destroyed in this enviroment

I went the reverse, as i felt like pvp got very stale, and i retired around the time stronghold released, so it's nice to see your videos, as for the most part people in wvw are pretty nice, compared to pvp.

I tried this build in 10 matches yesterday, with a small difference of not being able to equip a shield. Surprisingly I was the top DPS of my team in 8 of them. My first 10 matches ended up in a 50% win rate. I was 80% of the time on my short bow. Thank you for the guide!

We need some more wvw content 😊 check out the other maps and maybe try roaming on EBG. Maybe show your build briefly or provide a link to the build editor in the description. Love the commentary!

You've restored my faith that pvp is not totally broken! It used to be one of my favorite game modes before moving to wvw. I'm no build crafter, but I've thought core rev might have some potential with all of the new weapon options.

Hey man, i've started playing like two weeks ago and your channel really got me into pvp, i've started with mesmer as my first class and was having a blast with the power mirage build, but now i'm going for some revenant action to switch things up a bit and learn other professions, your videos are always incredibly helpful, thanks a lot! Is condi herald not really a thing? I'll probably go for power herald, but would love to know if condi also works

I will watch the video in the car so maybe you answer this in the video, but, how is the Spear on Revenant? I assume it is a condi/hybrid weapon giving the amount of torment it produces.

Glad to see you dabbling with renegade! One thing to suggest- renegade is *awesome* for zerging in WvW. Coalescence on top of the ground targeted AoEs gives you a ton of stuff to fling in the general direction of the opposing zerg.

What is the “this” that you were referring to when you said “this is the very last thing you want to see at the start of your game?”

13:10 agreed pvp is definitely nowhere near as toxic as wvw. yeah people get salty in ranked but some wvwers are actually out there simply to grief and troll. I’ve was WvWing since release but eventually moved completely to pvp in like 2016-2017. It’s just an inherently better competitive experience. No hiding in towers, or calling your guild to come bail you out. Just skill and the results of the match.
