1st class.
I know it has been years but do you still have that "clicking or tapping" noise betweet 3k and 4.5k rpm? my bike has that sound and it's driving me crazy...chain tensioner is in spec, valves are in spec...is that normal??
How are these around say 55 to 65mph? And are they decent for 2 up riding? Id like to occasional take the missus for a ride around the back roads near where we live
amazing video!
Do you still have the bike?
😊😊👌👌❤❤👍👍
What year is your bike, and is there any mods done to it?
Are you ok there? I see you was in hospital. Hope you are good.
Thank you for asking. My bro passed away 8/19/21 after an almost 2 year battle with brain cancer. Ride on in peace ✌️
@@vanessafigueroa4085 sorry to hear that. My sincere condolences.
@@vanessafigueroa4085condolences brother. All the best from Guatemala. What a nice bike ride you filmed!!
This would be long if it were a movie.
Anyone looking into getting this bike get it, it was my first motorcycle purchase and it has been a fantastic and amazingly fun bike I’ve had for a year now and I’ve had no problems and I ride it very frequently
I used to have an SR500. I might just need to get a 400 someday.
How much throttle are you giving the bike during this trip? About how much throttle would you say at 60mph?
Nice ride man!
I did not see bear valley here.. isnt that like way up in the sierra
Hwy 49 is an awesome ride.
Calif has the best back roads to go on. Basically endless.
documents the transbay terminal under construction, nice
Thank you so much, I really like these kinds of videos, but if you let us know from where you start and where you stop, and how long you travel would be much better, especially the long rides
When I rode, time and distance mattered little. Yea, still have my 80 sr500. But rode calif mostly on my 96 r1100gs.
great bikes for around town. I have a sportster 1200 but ride my sr400 80% of the time.. Just fun
Turlock CA!!
I hope you're okay. There are no new videos for a very long time.
Hi Paul - thanks for asking. SR400 California is my bro. He's not been well since Dec 2019 when he was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. He's a badass warrior and gave it REALLY good fight but the disease has run its course and he is now on hospice. He is at peace. 🙏, well wishes and positive thoughts welcomed. To all riders, ride on and enjoy every moment of it! ✌
Do the handlebars vibrate much at cruising speed?? And what is cruising speed on that bike? Will it do 70mph? And at what rpm ? I haven't found a good review on youtube that goes into detail.
I did a 2 hour ride to RI to see family a week ago. it's my first bike so no real reference for how buzzy it is, but after I got home I did notice my hands had that 'tingly' feel to them. fastest I went was 85 (not redline), mostly stayed around 70 though. I think it was cruising around 5500 rpm but I wasn't paying enough attention to that to remember right. got about 70mpg at that speed! the low fuel light comes on with about a gallon left in the tank. it was my first time going that fast and it was super windy (from the speed and the weather)
They do vibrate quite a bit depending somewhat on RPM
максималка где
Did you feel weird kickstarting fuel injected bike. Or how they did it
? just kick and it starts. unlike a carbed bike you *don't* want to give it throttle until after it's running
I want to buy it as my first bike, will it handle frosty days ? And also some of freeway speed for travelling from country to country ?
Can not wait to pick up mine on Monday ! Been waiting three years to get one . Love everything about it . Simple , kickstart only is cool asf . Super nimble , great looking , and easily a blank canvas for making it your own . Love Yamaha . Only thing is I feel they overpriced it but at least 1,500 bucks. So I waited . Well worth the wait . Saving half the price and only 1600 miles . I do kinda wish it was a 500 cc bike but that’s my only complaint with it . Nice rumble with that thumper engine .
Do you enjoy it ?!
Sounds like a real motorcycle.
thank you, microphone was under seat
i am officially sold on this bike
What a lovely ride
thank you
Not for me ....
You can close the gas once in awhile man...let it roll...it can save gas too
The SR400 has a lot of engine braking being a big single. You need to maintain throttle.
Question. Is the tailpipe - exhaust on this video stock? It sounds much more throaty with a bottom-end rumble than the one that I am considering. Please advise...
Stock, placed mic under seat.
Back in the 80,s had a 650 Yamaha great bike good on long rides, had all the power needed and more !
Hello from Russia, from Tula town, town of hero, town of great weapon masters, homeland of samovars. Very good motocycle! Real classic! As well i like 2t USSR and czechoslovak classical motocycle (Voshod, IZH, Minsk, Jawa). Beautiful steppe landscape, beautiful motorcycle. I hope I visit America, I want to see how ordinary labor people live there.
Ну как?Сбылась мечта?

Country roads, Take me home...
Damn that sound when you Kickstart.. what a symphony
sounds like a big air compressor flying down the road
mic is under seat thank you
Wonderful wiev, nice trip
thank you very much
I can't believe that air cooled motorcycle in 2019. I quit my riding 1996 with my 1994 virago 1100. I really don't like water cooler bike's I will buy sr 400 love that starting pedal. Great view and video.
thank you very much
is it ok for Taller riders?
yes it is

exactly what i wanted to see when i just searched "sr400". almost makes me regret buying an xsr700!
thank you very much
this is so therapeutic...
thank you very much
Wow... that sound is just amazing. Sr400 is exactly what a motorcycle looks and sounds like in my head lol
mic is under seat thank you very much
Love the sound... So it has enough over-taking power left when on a 70mph limit motorway with hills? You know, if you have to stretch to 75-78mph up hill (you know if there is trucks that need passing)... What year model is your bike? Is it a stock muffler?
thank you very much mic is under seat I stay under 55 mph
love the sound of a thumper
mic is under seat thank you very much
Most boring place to ride .
compared to?
@@brighter22 i guess he means everything else. thats why he wrote "most" ;-) not my opinion
Nice video. I’m curious about the gauge where the dipstick should be. Is it an oil pressure gauge? Is it also a dipstick? Where did you get it? Nice bike.
temp gauge and kind of dipstick. I got one for christmas but it doesn't have a marking for oil level. I was thinking of lining it up with the original dipstick and scribing a line
Seems pretty smooth for thumper! I'm looking at one in the future. One of these or an s40 Suzi. I love the simplicity and longevity of a single. My touring is limited to 2 hr stretches(110 miles)
last week I did 2 hours out and 2 back in a day, about 200 miles. halfway through the ride back my butt did start to get a bit sore lmao
