Swordsoul Kits, due to their flexibility, allow the deck to maintain adaptability and relevance in the meta despite being a Synchro ED. The deck offers consistent access to key tools, such as a monster negate, an omni-negate via Baronne de Fleur, and a pop through Blackout. I don't need to talk more how good Protos is. Additionally, the ability to incorporate numerous staple cards further enhances its versatility, making Swordsoul a consistently well rounded choice. However, it’s important to adapt the deck to the current format and recognize that the player's decision-making and adjustments play a significant role in achieving success with this strategy (just like majority of the deck)

There’s a percentage of Evil Eye players who love this, but for me, I kind of dislike the Evil Eye Unchained. It ruins the Evil Eye flow and grind game since the combo requires you to limit Evil Eye plays just to make room for Unchained (if 1 card combo, cause you need to sacrifice Evil Eye plays, which I dislike, you can check some combos of it). Otherwise, if you open with both Evil Eye and Unchained combo pieces, sure, you can combo them without hurting one another, but it feels like running two separate engines at once. The synergy, for me, is meh. Another issue is that it’s Nibiru-prone. I’ll always choose to play pure Evil Eye over Evil Eye Unchained because of the low synergy. Evil Eye isn’t Nibiru-prone, can play a lot of hand traps, has strong recovery, etc. Combining it with Unchained just removes those characteristics. If you want a stronger end board, just play other decks. If you want to play Unchained, go for a pure build or pair it with Fiendsmith.

The core of the deck is relatively cheap (3 Unleashed, 1-2 Gorgon, 1-2 Zerrziel), but you need to craft Unleashed, as it can only be obtained through crafting and is not available in a secret pack. My build is somewhat expensive, especially since I’m using tech choices like Upstart and Chicken Game, which also require crafting and are not accessible in secret packs. If you have this kind of budget, I suggest considering other options, as you could craft meta decks or other top-tier choices with it.If you love Evil Eye, go for it! The deck is underrated and a bit of a sleeper. I enjoy playing it because it’s my favorite deck.

SS Tenyi is still viable, and of course, it’s been powercrept, but it can still function well. Chixaou’s negate and Baronne’s omni negate are still strong, and you have access to Blackout and Protos, along with plenty of hand traps. I believe Swordsoul will still be competitive next year. There are definitely stronger decks out there, but with good play and avoiding missteps, you can still win with it. Thanks for the comment, and have a great day! :)

TYSM for the comment, it is a good tech it can avoid targeting effects for our Serziel and can throw Gorgoneio or Catoblepass in our hands to GY + you will have a Dark Law :)

Thank you so much for the words, not a fan of Time Tearing Morganite for this deck. Since the deck can keep up with the meta due to hand traps. Almost any deck that isn't control can keep up or might be able to keep up with the meta with hand traps since they are fast and don't need setup. If you use that kind of build, you might have a stronger turn 1 and better long games, but I prefer hand traps. They help me interrupt my opponent while still having no setup making it better to play turn 2 or 1. Plus, Evil Eye has good OTK potential, so I don't need to rely on a grind game.

No, Swordsoul can go first or second. In my replay, I played second and still won. Going First: Set up the board with Chixiao, Baronne, and Blackout. Going Second: Break boards using Tenyi and Swordsoul cards. The deck is versatile for both playstyles.

No, you can play any Link 4 or any card in general. It just happened that I hard drew Borrelsword in a pack, so I used it. However, the scenario in which I need it is very rare, since Evil Eye has its own monster that can attack twice and has a large attack, which is Zerrziel.

As for countering Lyrilusc, it can indeed be a tough matchup. You'll want to prevent your opponent from XYZ summoning, especially with Cobalt Sparrow, since Evil Eye cards all target. Consider using Forbidden Droplet or Book of Eclipse to disrupt them. Floodgate Trap Hole is also a choice, as it’s free from codes and can flip new XYZ summon cards facedown since FGTH is not targeting. Needle Ceiling is also a choice but remember that we will also pop our own EE monster since they are indestructible only from opponent's card effect. Otherwise, try to use your kits to stop their XYZ plays. Serziel to pop special summons and using Evil Eye Defeat might help, but keep in mind that Lyrilusc has many ways to extend, so it was a hard matchup if you don't have cards like Droplet or Book of Eclipse. I was also considering Evil Eye Repose, but I think it might be too niche for this format and too slow, but it was the only non-target removal that EE have.

I was still not playing ranked, but I got KC Cup DLv. max. I don't have Forbidden Droplet or Book of Eclipse. Just like every other deck or format change, you should adjust the staples, such as using Forbidden Droplet and Book of Eclipse if you have them. Also, make sure to adjust your endboard. If you don't draw many staples, consider ending on Gorgon Link 2 to avoid being easily destroyed by Book of Eclipse

I'm not a fan of running Chaofeng since it was rare to summon and the yes, the light monster floodgate is nice, I still don't see it as really good as it was, yes it can turn off VV matchup, but the standard Swordsoul board can still deal with VV matchup fine, I would rather want to have PEP in my ED over to Chaofeng.

I already tried your deck and i found out that you can summon the full armored utopic ray lancer with number 49 as example, so you can end a few matches earlier (Edit: Im so stupid, of course you can’t do that when you have no material😅). Btw can you explain me, when you use number 49 and when it’s worth it to summon it?

@@Bapfel_Editz This video is from the August 2024 format, where Star Seraph is the best deck. Since Seraph and Deltaross have strong targeting effects, I use Fortune Tune to make my board untargetable. Fortune Tune also serves as a solid wall, if your Serziel is removed, Fortune Tune can stall it out, giving you a chance to recover next turn. Earlier this season, I preferred ending on Zenminies, but with the introduction of Star Seraph, I adjusted my board, cause Seraph can just easily negate Zenminies. Zenminies and Fortune Tune are typically your go to Rank 3 targets when going first or when aiming to stall for a few more turns. They are currently the best generic Rank 3 options available. If you go 2nd and want to break board Break Sword would be the rank 3 to go.

yes, given how well you pilot it, almost any competent deck can reach Master 1. The main question is whether the pilot can effectively reach it, or if they have the drive to reach M1.
