The light that is in the front of the microphone goes out. So, there will be no light when it is fully charged.

I get my stuff from fcpeuro.com. They have a lifetime warranty. Yes, wear sensor, rotors and pads. I change mine every year. If I need it or not. Only pay for return shipping. I buy the brake kit. " Pagid " pads, " Bowa " Wear sensor, and " Zimmermann" rotors. OEM Land rover pads are " Ferodo" or " jurid". I like " Pagid" or " TRW " . As far as Pads types. I like the semi- metallic ( the braking in better, more dust. but, damages the rotor more.). The ceramic pads ( less dust, does not stop as fast. But, does not damage the rotor as fast.) But, I get mine from FCPEuro.com. It is a free lifetime warranty.

What pin did I strip? on mine they are all the normal thread. They are not stripped. I can post a video of it. I also use that same jack on other video after this one that shows it working.

No, you can not use the photo app. You need a video app. The stock Samsung video recording app works. You need to start recording a video to see the message that it is using a USB mic . It is shown in this video.

You said you are using a Samsung phone. In the stock phone do you have a pro video version ? I ask because you can see it on the right under Mic. If you don't just start recording a video and it should say at the bottom that it is using a use a USB mic.

Also , Does the red light on the dongle/receiver that you plug in to your phone come on?

It just plugs in to your phone. It shows up as a USB mic. I just use what ever video app that came with the phone. I showed it working on a PRO version on it. to show the change. But, it should work with any phone app. If you can not get it to work. You may have got a bad unit and that needs to be returned.

@@TheBumpCave Where does it show up as a USB mic? Been trying for the last 2 days to get it to connect. No luck. Charged the mics for 2 days and it is unmuted. It is a shame because I wanted to use them today but the installation process has been so complicated

Yes, you are right. My case is a "Spigen - Tough Armor". My case is thicker than most. But, I have not tested any other Microphones that the port is that short. Like I said " I do like this microphone." I also have more "BOYA" Brand Mic's Than I'm testing now.

No, it is not. It has not Noise cancellation ability.

Can you hear them? Are you connected? Have you turned up the microphone volume on the phone?

@@rirchardrubio5621 check to see if you have the Mute button pressed? It is the one behind the Volume switches . It allows you to mute your side, but still allows you to hear the other side. Like you can do on a landline phone or your cellphone.

I like the long reach . It allow for a tall pickup. It has a higher height that you can lift a SUV or truck. Also you can use the long reach to get a hold of a lift point and have the back of the jack stick out from under the car. That gives you more room to move the handle up and down without hitting the bumper. It is just add length. to get away from the bottom of the car. The reach for me is better than the low profile.

This comment is me right now. I want the long reach but don't know if I really need it to justify the 50 dollar price increase

@@tommieboi707 If you don't have a high vehicle or don't have a really Low vehicle ( low profile ). Then just save you money. Get a normal one.

@TheBumpCave there was a 40 dollar discount that just came out this week! I was able to get the long reach for 199. I have 2 wrx that are lowered so this was definitely a must buy. Thanks!

@@tommieboi707 I paid $129 for the Low profile. Didn't go long reach as it was significantly more expensive. So far it's not been a problem.

As of right now. I have not found any , so far , with Noise Reduction . That does not sound digital. Processed sound. The best thing I can tell you is get one that come with a wind defector/dead cat cover over the microphone. They are the best wind reduction I have found so far. If you need a better wind reduction unit. I'm afraid you will have to buy an more expense unit. You can also put the microphone under a shirt. that will help it out a lot.

It was a Samsung s23. But, any phone with USB-C port will work. Any app that record audio will work with this. ( if the app has the function (Most do )) Your phone will treat it as a external Microphone. As for me I used the stock video recorder for this test.

But overall is it a good mic ?
