Oh hi there, I'm Elin Lööw. A writer endlessly fascinated with the creative process. I live in Sweden and love the turn of the seasons, and many of my videos show how nature changes throughout the year here.
I ran this TH-cam channel between 2020 and 2022. It was two really fun years and it taught me a lot about making videos. During that time, I ran a creative coaching business, which I talk about in many of the videos.
This channel is now a closed chapter. By day, I am now a content and copywriter for an AI start up. By night, I write about creativity and life on my Substack - The Good Creative Life. Make sure to stop by there.

Goodbye Youtube - Hello Substack
As you might have noticed, I stopped posting videos here on TH-cam. I've decided to officially end my TH-cam channel. It was a fun couple of years of learning to make videos here and sharing my creative life and thoughts, but it's time to move on.
Nowadays, you find me on Substack where I write about what it means to live a good creative life. If I make videos in the future, I will post them there.
Thank you for watching my videos! 💛

Celebrating Creative Milestones: Lessons Learned From My First Year In Business
มุมมอง 3002 ปีที่แล้ว
Do you celebrate your creative milestones? As creatives, many of us don't. We don't celebrate the steps on the way, the behind the scenes milestones we hit. When we celebrate, it's the things that are valuable in other people's eyes: our results. But I believe we should celebrate our own creative process just as much, if not more. In this video, I create a milestone board to celebrate running m...

This is so inspiring♡ Thank you so much!
I hope you will keep your TH-cam videos public, I really enjoy them :) Best wishes for your new chapter!!
Wonderful
❤
It only occurred to me last “new year” that it never feels like a new year until spring. Everyone thinks the 1st of January will be the new them, but you’re so right, we’re right in the thick of the rest season at that point. For the first time I wasn’t flooded with guilt during January and February- I just took it slow.
Is this background song necessary? It really makes it hard to concentrate on what you are talking(((
Your videos are such a breath of fresh air :) Thank you for taking us to your favorite calming spots in nature and sharing their beauty with us
this is a great video! I'm very happy I happened upon your channel, I feel very at home already!
This video is so refreshing to watch, I too work 4 days a week in paid employment and try to squeeze in my creative practice around it, which is a fine juggling act, but I love my creative practice! Great to hear your tips for managing it - thanks.
Very encouraging and uplifting and God bless❤😢
I don't work a full time job but I am a university student, graduate. I find it equating to a full time job :P
"Promo sm" 😁
Hey Elon new around here😃👋 just wandering what do you like about sub stack more compared to TH-cam? What makes is different and better for you to create on it? Not sure if you explained this anywhere but curious and interested to know!
Elin*
Hi there! Well, TH-cam is a quite specific platform which works in a specific way. It's best if you upload often, you can't really share other things than videos, reach is hard unless you try to please the algorithm etc. I'm focusing mostly on writing now, and I moved my blog and newsletter to Substack a couple of months ago. I have a following there and I reach them through email. And it has the versatility to put other forms of content than just writing - audio and video. So it makes sense to me that if I want to make a video, I'll share it on Substack as well, where the rest of my work already lives. I'm not saying Substack is particularly good for video, it just suits me the best. :)
@@elinloow Gotcha gotcha! Makes sense to me. Thank you😃
I have loved your videos 😀and love that you are growing, evolving and taking the brave step of closing what no longer serves and diving into what you love more. Wishing you so much joy in this new adventure. See you on Substack
Thank you so much Barbs, that means a lot to hear. It's an ever evolving journey, and if we're willing to start things, we must also be willing to end things when the time is right. See you on Substack!! 💛
Good bye Elin, i wish you every blessing in the future. X
Goodbye Susan, thank you so much for you support! 💛 xx
Wish you came back! ❤

I’ve always loved your TH-cam channel 😮😭 Wishing you the best of luck xxx
Thank you Jules and so much for you support! 🥺 Hope to see you on Substack. 🤗
I've been snooping there already!@@elinloow
This is a nice video :)
I've spent a decade working a full time job, taking college classes at night with the intent to progress at my carreer (yes, college extended for a decade counting the times I went in and out, pandemics and switching courses, untill I finally droped it), having to do house chores and putting all my very limited free time into working on my book series. I feel devastated. Why did I do it? I didn't give up on my dreams, but also never had the balls to make them a prioritity, so I just tried to do everything at once. Now I gave up university and said to myself I will persue a side hustle in animation and writting. The frustration of all those wasted years acumulates into this burning desire of getting done with my projects already, which just gets more frustrating working on them because I know how unfinished they still are. I was quickly falling into thinking I need to make money out of my hobbies, to drop my dayjob aswell and that for that I need consistent output and a market strategy, to be always engaging in social media, understand it's algorithms, to improve faster, etc. I almost fell into the trap of rushing again. My eyes, my wrists and my back hurt from years of neglecting my health and the last years obsessively drawing, typing and animating. I will just do my dayjob, try to stablish systems there to ease my live (am already experiencing success on it) and to impose limits, get my home studio organized and shuffle from multiple projects (short term, middle term, long term) at my own pace allow myself to rest and give me time for the things I love and inspire me, if I am not living life I won't even have what to say in my art. I want to just enjoy life and enjoy being present in the moment. I am burned out, dayjob alone has become such a chore giving my mental state lately. At least I got some time off as gratification for the time I have been at the university (I work at the university, here everyone seems to be about rushing and carreer titles aswell). So I will have four months to heal and restart kindling my passions. I was almost eager to get the most of those times. But that would just mean burning myself again. I have to respect my rythm. This going in and out of the novel kills it. Untill you finally remember the story fully you are tired and unable to do anything. It just seems that small sessions never acumulate into a greater whole.
Thank you so much for this wonderful and inspiring video! This is the first time I've ever seen someone detail this process. I wish you great continued success!❤😊
Hello, just found your channel while looking for input on creativity. And wow. You speak to my heart and opened my eyes a bit. Now I have an expression for my life. Slow creative living! Thank you. <3 I worked in an open-plan office for a long time and had a kind of creative boreout because I'm also very stress-prone. After therapy I changed my life intuitively and now I work in the perfect job for me and have a micro-enterprise. I often wonder why things take a little longer for me to unfold before I realize... my body is communicating with me in this way, just like it did when I got lost in my life path. Now I'm a lot smarter. :D I will watch more of your videos now. I'm very curious to see what else you have to say. sunny greetings from Germany Anke
Hello Elin, recently came across your videos and I am grateful for the slow living tips. Your calm demeanor is wonderful and is very relaxing to watch ❤ thank you!
I think for me I’m just completely in the wrong job. My job is very administrative repetitive work, even though I consider myself a creative person, so I’m definitely not aligned right now. I still dedicate a couple hours after work to my side creative business but sometimes it is a struggle because I feel drained after work. I can’t afford to quit my job right now but I think I’m going to at least find a job that is somewhat more creative so maybe the huge contrast doesn’t affect me as much. The more I strive to work on my creative business the less I want to show up to my day job.
Hi Rebecca, I agree with you 100%. This is totally how I feel. Well done for cracking on and putting in a couple of hours after work. I was putting my lack of creativity and motivation in the evenings down to sheer laziness, but I hadn’t really considered that it’s due to depleted energy from working during the day, like you, in an admin job. If I’m not too busy, I make myself a cup of tea and allow myself 10 minutes to search the internet for beautiful fabrics. It helps in a small way to relieve the monotony until I can get home and fall asleep in front of the television!
Oh my God you just touched the depths of my soul!!! This is what I have been searching for 😥😥😥
Thanks for sharing your experience. I also have been writing a novel for years!
When you’re currently at work working full time / making a graphic art project/ listening to a TH-cam video asking for advice and cannot multitask LMAO 😅
Så härligt!
Lovely video. I have many creative hobbies but trying to find the time when you have a "day job" is hard.
This resonated, thank you 🙌
Love love love your channel
Great💖! Can I repost your all videos to the platform named Gan Jing World, which is full of clean valuable videos?
What do you mean with repost? Copy them and upload on a different platform? No, you may not do that. 🤨
No problem, I understand. Thank you for your reply. Have a good day. All the best, Emma
Congratulations on the new job. I just read your blog post and it sounds perfect for you. I went back to part time work in March and have found that it has increased my creative drive. The combo of time away from personal creative projects and the no money stress seems to create fertile ground for my creativity. I hope you find the same too 💜
I always get started then back down because of the fear of failure aka thinking solely about outcomes. Thank you for this! I have a podcast launched, music and illustration in the works, and overall feeling good about things.
Listening to you makes me feel ready to be productive! Love from Kenya :)
Hi Elin, thank you for sharing your creative podcasting process with us! I've already subscribed to your podcast, I have a feeling it will be a great encouragement in my creative journey. I really connect with your desire to focus on the deeper inner aspects of a good creative life. Also, I first heard 'Herbal Tea' on your video a while back and it is now a beloved song on my playlist at home x
Hi Ishah! My pleasure! So happy to hear you've subscribed, I hope it can be that inspiration for you. That inner aspect of it is so important! Oooh, love that you listen to Herbal Tea too. It feels like a soul song. 💛
hi elin, found you through lilly in norway channel, i love her channel, i am so happy to find you, looking for inspiration, much love from the uk x

Love your energy
"We are going to build creative confidence over time", "a creative project is about you, your creative vision, your joy", thank you for putting your heart out here Elin, what a wonderful forest guide! 🦗
So glad you found it valuable! Good luck with your project. 💛
Hi this venkatesh from India, loving your work of slow lifestyle I am too trying slowing down.
Hi and welcome Venkatesh! Hope you can find lots of slow in your life too :)
Thank you for sharing your story. Lilli of Norway sent me and this is the 3rd video of yours I've watched already and have been inspired by each one. You have a lovely channel. I'm just getting back into writing after a couple of years off because life got in the way. But I did continue to read and last year got the writing bug again, and now have so many ideas going around my head. But I've been putting off sitting down to actually write because there's always some other projects I'm working on. This week I've actually sit down and started setting up my writer's notebook and actually making some progess and once I'm happy with that I can hopefully start writing. I've always wanted to be a writer since I was a kid too and the idea has never really gone away.
Hi Katie! Glad you found me through Lilli (she's lovely!) and that you're enjoying my videos. Well done making a start with writing again after a long time away. It's not easy to get past that first threshold and doubt of the beginning. And hey, remember - as long as you write, you're a writer. Cheering for you! You can do this! :)
